Now come on guys thoughts on the themed nights and also days out please, here are some ideas members have messaged me:

mods and rockers
toga night
vicars and tarts
pirates
black & white,Red & black night ,etc
Christmas fancy dress
St valentines lovers
St Patricks Irish
police and villains
hippies and flower power
Hawaaiin

day at a shack on little vagator
Kareoke night at carvery
casino night (black tie cocktail dress maybe.. )
games night pool, darts, dominoes, cribbage (everyones name in an hat and knockout)

day out crab fishing (some of us have done this and also arranged some trips last year.. was fantastic fun)

sea fishing

guess the drink

auction night for whatever we want to do with the dosh all bring something

i would be interested in any feedback on any of the above, positive or negative so we can agree the most popular or discount the most unpopular :que remember even on themed nights there is no obligation to dress up or whatever for those who prefer not to

Lastly:

:hols

great news!!! have spoken to Ram at the carvery, and the music stops on a Wednesday and he is going to give us HT'ers an additional 5% discount... result!!!! I am sure everyone will feel as happy about that as i am ;)

Well done Chilly. You have been busy. Some great suggestions there and we are up for any days out. Definately want to do the crab trip, tried to do it last year after you recommended it but it wasn't to be. Going to need even more luggage allowance next season for all this dressing up.

Agree with BrenLiz.

We would be up for all the days out, and the games night not sure about the dressing up nights though, due to lack of luggage allowence, and dont think o/h would fancy trudging about for materials, and making costumes, does anyone know any hire shops in Calangute/Candolim :que P.S. you could also put Mods and Rockers on your list of suggestions. All of them should make for a good night, regardless of dressing up or not :cheers .

thanks Preacher ;) yes i very much like the idea of the games night too, i know all the men usually end up playing pool but a knock out would be fun, we often play the connect four too... we introduced that to the carvery some yrs ago (and other places in Goa) after having it (and genka) on our dinner tables in a restaurant in Thailand.. a novel idea and went down really well

Although I wont be there, how about a back to school night?

You can be headmistress Chilly! :yikes

Dress as school kids and play school yard games.

That should all get you thinking about the games you used to play in the playground! ;)

Smoking only allowed behind the bike sheds. :D

In view of all the sport this year, how about a sports night, everyone can wear their favourite football/rugby shirts without being called yobs or even just their trainers/running shoes. We could even get a mock Olympics flame and run up the road from the beach end and collect a few recruits for the meet up on the way. Pity Italy lost last night, Liz thought of getting an Italy shirt from Puma and rafling it off for a children's charity but no-one will want a loser's shirt! There is still Usain Bolt to put our hopes on, so maybe she will have better luck at getting one of his shirts.
