I thought this was worth highlighting. I hadn't realised how much of a discrepancy there is between the UK rates and other European countries.
The UK is one of the most highly taxed countries in Europe. It's the same with flights, my grandson travels to Japan regularly and saves hundreds of pounds by going via Amsterdam rather than direct from London.
