Just decided to take advantage of current cheap flights and have booked flights from Manchester on 15 November at £320each - a couple of weeks earlier (ie. now) was £235 but we couldn't make it!
We fancy staying somewhere we've not stayed before and would welcome any suggestions on good, clean and inexpensive rooms somewhere in North Goa, preferably close to beaches and some shacks.
The Colonia Santa Maria is in Baga and right next to the beach, not far from main road and lovely rooms. I was hoping to stay there but they wouldn't take a booking for single occupancy

Roma you could try Pretty Petals in Candolim we have stayed there twice, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, we paid 1300 rupees per night in March and that included a/c fridge tv etc. The e-mail address is prettypetalsgoa@indiatimes.com it is close to the beach and also a lot of good restaurants and would highly recommend it.
