We have been going to Goa since 1993 and once we found Hyson, we never bothered with any other beach shack.

He used to run Mama Cecilia's originally, then a few years ago he decided to set up his own shack with his brother Patrick and of course all the regulars followed him to the new place, which is on the Calangute, Candolim border, down from the Beach Classic, where the Pine Trees are.

The food is amazing and as well as the day time hospitality, with free sunbeds, they do a great BBQ on selected evenings. They will also arrange any parties that you want and the only place we will be on New Years Eve is at Hyson's Beach Shack.

All the staff are really friendly and helpful and great fun too. If you don't feel like going into the shack for lunch, the boy's will bring the food and drink down to your sunbed, but the crack is so good, it is worth going up for half an hour. Definitely worth a visit.
