Jiuzhaigou enjoys worldwide fame for its astonishing scenery. Located in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Region, Sichuan Province, Jiuzhaigou is a valley that stretches for more than 40 kilometers at the foot of the snow-capped Minshan Mountain.

There is a saying that goes: “No mountain is worth seeing after you’ve been to the Huangshan Mountains, and no water is worth seeing after you’ve been to Jiuzhaigou.” Indeed, water is the soul of Jiuzhaigou. The lakes in Jiuzhaigou are extremely beautiful.

In Spring, the waterfalls of Jiuzhaigou are like green looms weaving different silks. Varying in shape, some are like dragons, some like snow and some like pearls. The sun often casts rainbows across their fronts. In spring, silky waterfalls drop delicately down from the high gullies. The water is alive everywhere. It pats on rocks shyly and gentle like a sweet young girl.

In Summer, Jiuzhaigou (Jun- Aug) is colored by green. The mountains, the trees, the rivers are range from light green to deep green. During this time, Jiuzhaigou is in the rainy season.

In Autumn, the primeval forest at Jiuzhaigou is nearly 30,000 acres, which occupies more than half of area in Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area. The forest contains more than 2,000 different plants, beautiful flowers, lovely grass and numerous rare species under state protection including pandas. In deep autumn, orange trees, golden yellow birches and red maples flourish in warm autumnal glory.

In winter, the waterfall in Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve will solidify on the steep rock and there will form a blue icefall. The icefall is a natural ice sculpture features huge icicles, ice hockey, ice hanging and ice mantle, which constitutes a sparkling ice crystals world, exotic and dreamy.
