Most big chain hotels now take a credit card imprint at check in to cover incidentals [ie. spending on the mini=bar, pay TV/ movies etc].

Its only an imprint which acts as a guarantee. They probably will accept a debit card or a nominal cash security fee, say £20. Explain you havent a CC and they will probably not require any payment.

Assuming it's Trevelyan Square - It's next to the railway station and well located for everything in central Leeds.

Hotels are usually happy to take a debit card imprint.

Enjoy your stay.

In my experience hotels will not allow debit cards to be used for the upfront imprint (although the debit card can be used to settle the bill at end of the stay)
