If you want cheap , basic but high reviews the camel bar hotel, they have own pool and very peaceful as the divers are all out :)

The Hilton Fayrouz is very nice , and as you say is only 2 mins from the centre , there is a walkway along the front of all those hotels , nice to sit in the bar at Hilton and people watch , I think there is a Movenpick as you approach the centre too

andy66, the Movenpick is the jolie-ville at the beginning of NB on the promenade opposite the beach or supermarket

My mistake I thought the Jolie Ville was the casino and resort the other side of the Peace Road , it's all one long hotel though plenty of hotels to choose from around there and all easily walkable too .

There is another nice small hotel in Naama Bay, called the Iberotel Lido, I've eaten in the restuarant there that's called 'on the deck'. Think it may be adult only. It's not a great big hotel like the others mentioned and I believe it has a rooftop pool not multipule pools liked lots of hotels in Sharm. I guess it's down to the type of thing you are after really but it might be worth investigating.

thanks guys im looking at all the hotels suggested forgot to mention ( im loosing my mind ) I need a hotel that has an easy entry pool slope or steps not ladder ones im in a wheelchair I can manage a couple of steps and walk a few yards but nothing major ideally the hotel room to have a walk in shower but if the hotel has the pool I need then I can manage with shower over the bath x :cheers

In that case the Ghazala Gardens, they have a man made beach, wheelchair friendly with ramps, the pool is all around the complex and across the road from NB, you share the beach with Ghazala beach. The complex is small.

I went there a couple of years back ;)

andy66, you are also correct, they have beach side JV, Marriotts etc and what they term mountain view

I think you probably need to make sure you are in an hotel on the beach side rather than the road side as negotiating that Peace Road with all the traffic can be a bit of a nightmare once you get into the actual Namma Bay Area, what with all the taxis. It's not so bad out at Nabq etc but I thought it was really busy in the centre (this was before the downturn though).

Maybe you could pull up some photos of hotel pools from the internet once you have got a short list to see if they are suitable ?
