Hi Katie ... according to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, entry to Thailand is normally refused if you have less than 6 months passport validity remaining. As the validity requirement apparently relates to entry rather than exit then you may be okay, depending on your actual date of outward travel:

However, if you did renew now, you could have up to 9 months validity transferred from your current passport to the new one.
