I have seen the minimum 3 month passport validity requirement mentioned by Cypriot authorities, but only in relation to citizens of those countries which require a visa to enter Cyprus. I haven't seen the 3 or 6 month validity requirement listed in relation to holidaymakers with British passports. And as you will see from the links in my previous post, neither the Foreign Office nor the Cyprus High Commission in London list such a requirement, as far as they are concerned the passport only requires to be valid for the duration of your stay. However, some airlines and tour operators may stipulate a minimum 6 month validity requirement for all destinations, even where no such entry or immigration requirement exists and so it is perhaps better to be safe than sorry. Fortunately time is in your favour to allow for a renewal to take place.

If you are in any way doubtful, just renew your passport.

The new passport should be extended 10yrs from the expiry of your current passport - mine was. So renewing sooner will not mean you lose time on your new passport.
