Hi & welcome to the forums. So sorry to hear of your accident.

Thomson have a duty of care of all their clients & health & safety should be top priority. Wasn't there a phone number for their rep?

As the 6 months are now up I'd write to Thomson's, send it recorded delivery, & ask that they inform you of the outcome.

IMO you have cause for redress. There are plenty of holiday accident claim specialists who should offer no win no fee.

I agree, get legal help. Don't just claim for the injury remember to also include psychological affects such as mobility, lack of sleep, other personal activities that were impacted as a result of your injury.

Good luck!

Time to contact ABTA I would say. Try once more with Thomson and say you will involve ABTA as you have given them enough time to respond. For more details about what to provide ABTA with see

Dont give up- that is what they want you to do and obviously many do just that!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Based on what you have described, it seems that you may have a valid claim against Thomson. The fact that you reported the issue with the sink to reception and housekeeping beforehand and they failed to address it properly could potentially make Thomson liable for any injuries or damages resulting from the incident. Additionally, the lack of proper assistance and apology from the staff when you were moved to a new room is also concerning.
As for whether or not you are entitled to claim, that would depend on a number of factors, including the terms of your travel insurance policy and the local laws and regulations in Bulgaria. It may be worthwhile to consult with a lawyer who specializes in personal injury cases with glass wall to determine the best course of action.
In the meantime, I would recommend following up with Thomson regarding their legal team's response. It is unusual for it to take 6 months to investigate a claim, and it is your right as a customer to receive a timely response. If you have not already, you may also want to consider lodging a formal complaint with Thomson's customer service department and providing them with the photos you have taken as evidence.
