Disabled Person Holiday Discussions

Are you disabled or know someone who is? What are your experiences of hotels and resorts as a disabled person?

Hi
Didn't use Push n Go although they had about 5 scooters recharging at any given time in our hotel foyer so they're popular at least.
We hired a manual chair from Mobility Abroad who were very reliable and friendly. The chair was waiting for us when we arrived at the hotel and they came right on time to collect it. Wished we'd gone with a scooter though because it wasn't easy to push up and down hill from the prom. Mobility Abroad do scooters too although they said they don't do the powered wheelchairs anymore.
Half the over 60 population there seem to use scooters to get around......handy alternative to a car for short trips by the looks of it :-)
We'll definately do the same next time.

just tried these and was impressed, was at hotel on time and all the scooters are nearly new and clean, insurance included and emergency number should anything go wrong. They have a couple of shops and there scooters and wheelchairs where everywhere so business must be good. Recommended.

How much was the scooter to rent?

4 wheel one 70 euro's for the week, 3 wheeled ones are cheaper, they deliver and you get emergency no and liabilty insurance, really helpful and if it doesnt suit you just phone up and they will bring you a different on, really good service
