Not sure that is entirely true re the weather - the effect of the Gulf Stream means that much of the west coast of Scotland is as warm as the south coast of England because it keeps the sea warmer. Of course this does at times mean that it can be rainier because of the mountains. :D I might be biased of course given that I live up in Scotland :tup

What part of the South do you actually mean? Kent? East Sussex? West Sussex? Hampshire?

Anywhere along the south coast. From Hastings to lands end. Each county has something to Offer. I have traveled extensively in these areas. So if you have a question I might be able to give an answer.

Mountains? - well, NO, but try climbing some of the Tors on Dartmoor...
