Well on arrivial we were greeted and our luggage taken to our room on the 2nd floor. We had asked for a high floor. The room we were put in had one socket and no plug on tv.
It was like a store room the tile grout was painted with red paint. We were moved the next day to 7th floor. Not much better. They are clean. Avoid being put anywhere below 3rd floor.
The sokol shares it facilities.
40 sunbeds,only and there are 132 rooms with 2 to 3 sharing and an ajoining hotel about 120 more guests.
At around 6.30am towels are put on sunbeds and no one uses them till after 9.am.
The food is, well I will skip that part. Every one ate out except the ones that were not English, ok if you love polony, smoked cheese, hot dogs, eggs and tomatoes and fruit and veg. With sliced boiled eggs with tomatoe ketchup draped over the top.
The menu is the same every day it never changed once the 2 weeks we were there. The dining room is like a transport cafe. No a transport cafe is much much better.
The staff are brilliant. If you look in next years brouchers you wont find it because it is getting pulled down at the end of the season to be rebuilt...it should have been pulled down last year.
Its got a great location and pool if you get the chance to use it. The resort is great. It rained for 9 days take your wellies.

I am 4 days back form Bulgaria and the Hotel Sokol. I loved it very much. I Dont think there was enough sunbeds as some Holiday-ers would get up real early, about 4 and hog all the beds so no one got a chance...other than that FANTASTIC
The Maids
What can i say about them...OUTSTANDING
we were on floor 2 and 9
Marrion - the cleaner on floor 2 was amazing, every morning she would have our room cleaned whether we were up or not, she would not desturb us and would egt the job done, had great conversations with her, as she didnt speak a word of english
Mary - when we moved to floor 9 here she was, she told us whether we could drink or not "Tonight...NO DRINK" or if we were alowed to "DRINK SLEEP DRINK SLEEP" which me and my holidaying chum had numerous giggles about, and if she came in and we were sleeping she would kindly shout at us to get back to sleep "SLEEP" which was...very scary and funny at the same time, i loved her, got a few pics of her. I offered her a drink but she kindly declined, i would have loved to have a drink with her.
The Waiters were polite too, everytime i passed one of them, whether in the street, beach or hotel, he always said hello which i think is very nice!!!
Overall I loved this place...
OOOOOO dont forget Sexy Lady, the lovly singer, would come on about 8 everynight and have me singing and dancing on the balcony! and when the ketchup song came on, well, there was no stopping me! and "I do, I do, I do, I do" - we called her sexy lady, because thats what she is, - did u see some of the outfits she was wearing...WOOF!!!!! Great Entertainmet, Maids and Waiters!

Hotel was pretty basic but very clean and in an ideal location close to everything. The only problems we had with the hotel was the food which was very fatty and borin. Also the shower which leaked into the bedroom all the timed as the only drain was in the middle of the bathroom floor. Would come back to Sunny Beach for the money but not here.

The room was cleaned on a daily basis. When I had a mishap with a glass bottle the maid was there within 5 minutes and cleaned around us.
I found the breakfast good. There was no hot water for tea, or any cold juice on the first morning, this had been put right by the next morning. It was a continental breakfast, with every type of cold meat and salad. The eggs and bacon were too fatty for me but my husband enjoyed them every moring.
The hotel is convienient for everywhere. It is a minute to the promenade and 5 minutes to the main shopping area, although there are little kiosks along the promenade and most of the street.
The hotel staff were very friendly and accomadating. On one occassion we had no change to pay for a drink and the catering manager allowed us to pay this later.
I can't comment on the entertainment in the hotel as such, the TV did have a number of channels but most of these were in German.
