The resort is mainly all inclusive hotels. The Iberostar and its grounds and beach were so good that we really did not need to stray outside. As reported elsewhere there is sometimes a little weed (restricted to a relatively small sectio) on the beach though this depends on the prevailing wind and a team of the hotel staff always clear it up first thing. Beaches stretch for miles in either direction and are lovely to walk along, with a nice cooling breeze.

The hotel Iberostar was the resort, there really was nothing to leave for as there is not much going on outside the hotel, and probably not very safe after dark, although we never felt threatened during the day.
There were a couple of other hotels within easy walking distance, but the hotel had absolutely everything we could possibly require.

Costa Dorada was very clean and well maintained. The entertainment was excellent. But if you want to get out of the hotel the next resort along Playa Dorada has a casino, a golf course and lots of other entertainment.
The resort is situated on the North coast, on the Atlantic side of the ocean, which means that it does accumulate a lot of seaweed, but was cleaned all day long by the workers.
We would definately visit here again as it is great for couples and for a family.

The entertainment team are excellent they work so hard to make sure you have a great holiday, the show's they do in the evening are fantasitc, you have to see the lion king!
Star friends work 16 hrs a day for little money, but still they don't stop, constantly playing differnt games throughout the day.
The resort allso has a night club open 11pm-2am
The pool is huge alaways enough sunbeds if you want to have a lay in.
Beach is nice but lots of seaweed.
The gardens are beautiful, the gardeners work realy hard aswell to keep the place looking clean and tidy!
We went on a helicoptor ride that is amazing, ocean world is huge and lots of things 2 do, we realy enjoyed that day out.
Weather was great around 33-34 only rained 3 times after 4pm which was good.
i will be coming back to this hotel next year, as its the best hotel and holiday we have ever had.

It is difficult to say much about the resort as this hotel is in an area with just one other Hotel and the main resort of Playa Dorara is a taxi ride away. We did not visit Playa Dorada as we were quite happy to remain in the Hotel Grounds - apart from one trip to Ocean World which was a great day out.
The beach is very nice and there is a lovely breeze every day here. There is some seaweed but that didn't bother us too much. The sea was really warm - like a hot bath and there are lots of sun beds avaiable and a beach bar.

On the beach you can ride the banana boat for a small fee and tip the guy in the boat a couple of dollars for a fantastic ride.
The plaza is close by and you can walk there from the hotel in about 20 mins along the beach turn right when entering beach area.
We took a helicopter trip from the plaza which was fantastic. All in all this was a truly magical holiday I would definitely go back again.

The trips available were good value and very fun too! The Ocean World trip was great; my mum and sister did the sea lion encounter: a half hour show followed by half an hour by the pool with these increadible animals. The dolphin swim however was more disappointing I was told by my relatives. We also went on the Domincan Discovery trip. This made the holiday and was a day I'll never forget.
Make sure though you go on official trips recommended by the reps however.

The resort "Costa Dorada" has only two hotels in it , Iberostar and Marian Coral so there is no entertainment outside your hotel you can walk along the beach to playa dorada but thats about it. Thats why we wouldnt go back ,we prefer to have some freedom to look around a resort by ourselves.
The beach is kept clean, no rubbish or cigarette butts lying about but a lot of seaweed on shore and in the shallows, so no good for snorkling (which I love to do).
All in all a good holiday for lying by the pool all day but I love to try new places would still recommend it.

everything about this resort is perfect the beach was cleaned of seaweed each morning and in the afternoon the breeze was most welcomed
