At this time of year no problem getting a sunbed at anytime of the day. Weather was good 30c on average.

All the staff were freindly and helpful. We got a ground floor apt, as requested, fairly clean except for a few cobwebs on the ceiling and between the pictures on the wall. Very roomy for two people.

I am a fussy eater but I thought the choice of food was one of the best I have seen and very tasty.

The entertainment, I am not a bingo and singalong type of person, usually if its the reps who are doing the entertainment I'm the first one out of there but once the nightly bingo was out of the way and they even made that funny. The four reps/entertainers (Mark,Laura,Ben and Teresa)were top class, every night was different, they all had good voices and were well worth watching. At the end of each show they would come and 'mingle' with the hotel guests and have a chat, which I thought was really good.

Location. It took about 20 minutes by bus (80 cents) to get into Paphos where there is a undercover market, a nice harbour and a site worthwhile seeing where they discovered some mosaics in their original settings. Nearer to the hotel is the Tombs Of Kings site which is also worth a visit.

Although the hotel was nice I don't think it is a 4 star but a good 3. What made it for us was the staff, which can change from one year to the next, all the nice people we met (other holiday makers)while there and deffinately the entertaimment team, who were excellent but who sadly are going their own seperate ways at the end of the year.

Hotel room flooded 3 times due to heavy rain pouring under the entrance door.

Awful drinks in plastic cups in a smelly smoke filled bar area.

Food the same every meal time.

No beach to use only pool deck so on the bus to the beach at coral bay or harbour in Paphos.

Would not stay here again.

The Pafian Sun Holiday Village, or "Butlins" as the local ex-pats call it, was a pleasant place in a great location with some stunning sea views. We had fab sunset views from our terrace.

The apartment was basic, but met our needs. We did have the odd ant wandering through, but nothing major. There was an adjoining door to the next apartment, which could let in a lot of noise from next door if you have loud folk in there! On our arrival, this door was unlocked. I actually opened it without realising where it led, and walked in on our neighbour! Fortunately she was very nice and laughed about it afterwards. (I must say at this point that if there were any problems, the reception staff got the maintenance staff on the case immediately - a man arrived within the hour to lock the door.)

The staff were all really nice - very efficient, friendly and helpful, often with a great sense of humour.

The food was very good, especially at dinner, with themed nights. There could perhaps have been more variety at lunchtimes.

While the entertainment team work really hard, if you don't like cabaret and games in or around the pool, you'll hate it. There is a non-stop entertainment programme for kids as well as adults, and it can get a bit loud at times. If you want peace and quiet, it probably won't be for you.

We chose to holiday in September to avoid school holidays and therefore loads of kids, so we were amazed and a bit annoyed at how many families with school-age kids were there during term-time. (Obviously this is more to do with irresponsible parents than the hotel.) The lesson for us was "if you don't like kids, stay away altogether!" Bit of a shame, really.

Hubby and myself stayed for 1 week all inclusive. We just wanted somewhere hot and sunny to unwind and we got it. Food good, plenty of it and always very good with very good choice.

Room clean but a bit drab, we had a balcony overlooking the sea - the sunsets were lovely.

Plenty of sun beds, round the pool and also on grassy verge overlooking sea.

The enterainment team were very good, Theresa, Ben, Laura and mad Mark - their interpretation of Alladin was funny. All the kids seemed to love them. You could join in with the enterainment (from 10am daily) if you wanted to, but weren't pushed into anything.

The Pathian Sun Holiday Village is not, as some people believe,a great place to holiday.

It is very very basic for a complex rated 4 star. The food is okay, but no better than any three star complex my family and I have visited in the past.

The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, with plastic cups, fag ends and paper strewn about the place.

The location is hopeless, just off a busy main road and without a beach. The only hope of dipping your feet in the med in this complex is if you are able to clamber over rocks, there is no sand in sight.

The cleaners show on most days, but only change towels twice per week. We had sand, from a visit to Coral Bay beach, on our floor for over a week, this was obviously not swept clean at any stage of our stay.

The entertainment team did their best, but it was very much the same thing day in and day out, this gets on your nerves after two weeks on the complex!

There is no way we would visit this place again, the atmosphere was awful, gangs of kids congregating between the 'clusters' (apartments), made life a little uneasy at times,a holiday is for relaxation and Pathian Sun did not provide me or my family with either.

I stayed in the Pafian Sun in July 06 I thought that the resort was very nice, it had most things you needed.

There was a shop which sold most things and a supermarket just across the road.

The Hotel has two swimming pools a big one and a children's one which was ideal because there was a lot of children.

The entertainment team was good but it felt like they did the say thing over again there was also kid

I have never been so uncomfortable on a holiday complex like this in all my life.

If this is four star, I'm the man in the moon! The accommodation was basic and our apartment was not even ready for us on our arrival.

No towels,no bedding and no air conditioning! We had already paid for air-con in our AI deal, but we were told it would cost 70 cypriot pounds to have it put on, but that was out of order and we refused to pay.

The cleaners had their work cut out, there are a lot of apartments for them to clean, but they did not live up to a good standard,at least not in our case. We had sand on the floor for over a week and the towels only got changed twice a week.

The food is not too bad,but the outdoor eating area was situated next to the pool and eating was not at all comfortable or enjoyable, especially at lunchtime, when the animation team thought it was a great idea to play water polo just as you wanted to try and enjoy your afternoon meal.

The hotel was just off a busy main road and did not have a beach, just a rocky outcrop which was not safe for those unsure on their feet.

Some of the staff were down right rude and sulked most of the time, although the animation team of Ben,Mark,Hayley and Teresa did their best to keep the kids entertained.

The bar staff more or less threw drinks at you without so much as a smile and all drinks came in plastic cups which littered the complex. On one occasion a boy of no more than fifteen was drunk and tried his best to impress his mate by standing up to me. I am not the tallest of women, but I have sons twice his size and told him to get off, which made him feel rather silly,I hope. This is not holidaying, not when you have encounters with teenagers. Some hung around in gangs as though the complex was some kind of ghetto and security had to be called in to sort these kids out!

The overall entertainment was repetetive and boring once you realise its going to be the same for two whole weeks on every morning, afternoon and evening.

There is no hope in hell of getting me back to the Pafian Sun Holiday Village,I feel I need another holiday just to get over this over-rated 4 star joke of a place.

No chance of chilling here, this is full on Pontins in the sun!

My mum and dad took us to the Pathian Sun holiday village in Cyprus, but I wish Airtours had not messed up our original all inclusive holiday to Fuerteventura because Pathian Sun was horrible!

The hotel rooms were basic, but kept clean most of the time except for the sand on our floor, which stuck to our feet for over a week after a visit to Coral Bay beach.

The food was okay, but no better than the 3 star accommodation we usually go to. This could not be classed as 4 star, no way, not a chance of that.

The hotel was located just off a busy and dodgy main road which was always full of traffic, even late at night.

Some of the staff were okay, but some were very rude and looked unhappy when serving drinks. Ben, Hayley, Teresa and crazy Mark made me laugh in the evening entertainment spot, but most days were the same stuff. Same music, same water fitness, same water polo (played by very serious adults), same water volleyball, again played too seriously by adults. The kids hardly got a chance to touch the ball, let alone play!

I don't like it at Pathian Sun, it is not my idea of relaxation, it is far too busy for that and you have to travel if you want a beach. No I would not want to stay at Pathian Sun ever again. I am 15 and my 12 year old brother thinks the same, this is no good. Come back Fuerteventura!

I took my wife for her birthday on arrival I was impressed with the layout of the village everything was close by, the reception area was clean and welcoming.

our room was a good size as a 1 bedroom, the hotel was once self catering and the room contained everything you would need. Apart from "Ants" I think it may of been hatching season because they were everywhere but only little tiny ones, never really bothered us but several people were asking for their room to be sprayed.

The pool and the view was very nice indeed there was plenty of beds and a choice of poolside and grass areas for sunbathing, (advice for those who burn easily) try P20 apply once a day and thats it I'm fair and burn easy but I've never looked back since I tried this, (soory about the advert)

Anyhow the staff a mixture of Cypriut and Hungarians
who dont speak hardly any greek, they were freindly enough and plenty of them, the restaurant lookd a little dissorganised at times both service and in the kitchen, running out of things and panic setting in?

The Entertainment Bingo everynight it averaged CY

When i read the bad reviews on this site I was very wary about what were going to find, I was thoroughly impressed with the complex.

My 7 year old is a fussy eater but the food on offer satisfied his needs. From Breakfast up till dinner the food is delicious with varied themed nights all week.

The staff are fantastic and very friendly. The entertainment on offer is great from 10.30 in the morning until midnight. The entertainment team is great well done Theresa, Hayley, Ben & Mark (the craziest of the bunch)
The complex is clean the rooms are compact but cleaned regular.

The view is great and the pool area is very clean with loads of room and pleanty of sun beds available
There is a bus stop right outside which runs every 15 mins to Paphos or Coral Bay, but you really do not need to leave the complex if you don't want to. A mini market on site and a supermarket across the road.

Our flight home was late at night and room had to be vacated by midday, but you can stay on complex until your transfer and use the showers and changing room for free or pay 15 cyprus
