Get a ground room floor as it will help as there are no lifts to the other floors so it can be a bit of a walk with a pram.
Make sure on the strip you visit the Meze restaurant with the funny symbols in the name. It is one of the best Meze places in Protaras. Also Molti was a great restaurant to stay in.

This is our second time in Cyprus Protarus. We came again because it is such a beautiful location. The beaches are lovely and the people are very friendly. The only problem is people walked so slowely and stood in the middle on footpaths which was very annoying... The bars and resturants were very nice. You should try the Olympus Resturant and the la pas cocktail bar!! There is also some great activitys to do like: Ocean Aquarium; Donkey riding; Water sports and lots more... The resort is just soooo beautiful!!

The best thing about this hotel though was the pub just outside the hotel grounds - The Western Star Music Bar - do yourselves a favour and pop in and meet the fantastic couple running this place, Mark and Christine. There's a second to non atmosphere here with entertainment every night, fantastic food, plenty to keep the kids happy and a fantastic pint of cold Carling as well as local beers, bitter, guinness, cocktails etc. Laughs guaranteed for all. They make you feel so welcome and we had a number of great nights here and were within a minutes walk from home. Will definitely go back to the Polycarpia one day and definitely will go back to the Western Star. Keep up the great work guys.

as we were at the rising star we only ventured up the strip from their as far as the sphinx bar, our fave restaurant was tropical dreams, costas and kristina are brilliant hosts and he food was lovely, we also got free fruit,ice cream and slush thrown in, you get a complimentary carafe of wine if you take thir card and the wine is lovely not battery acid! we also tryed chi chi,s for the mexican all you can eat which was very nice, next to ch chi,s was a cocktail bar which did a lovely breakfast for 2 euro 50 cents inc toast and jam, we also visited don carleones and their garlic mushrooms were the best ive ever tasted. we visited oscar restaurant too, the food was ok, but the staff were hostile , very unfriendly indeed.
we went on captain paccinos boat cruise to cape greco and farmagusta (well as you can go because of the buffer zone) and if was the thirty five euros we spent all holiday, we got wine,fruit, popcorn,crisps and meatballs included and the skippers were very friendly and informative. we also did a trip to farmagusta and kyreinia which was brilliand with a visit to bellapies abbey, the views their are out of the this world. would go back to protaras and the rising star again

The resort of Protaras is a beautiful place with plenty to do during the day and evening. During the day there is a choice of restaurants to eat in, or if you just wanted something to keep you going without spending too much money there is also a McDonald's and a pizza hut. These are ideal as the prices for food around Protaras can be quite high. The cleanliness of the resort was up to a good standard making a lovely environment for holiday makers. The beaches around this area were great with plenty of activities to do from jet skiing, to different boat trips. Also if you enjoy playing mini golf or just having a laugh there are a few mini golf courses in walking distance. At night the stretch of bars were really entertaining as there would be something different going on in all of them. All in all Protaras is lovely and we would love to come back and stay.

protaras is a fantastic resort with the best beach i have been to- fig tree bay , crystal clear water with little fish swimming around your feet ! absolutely unforgettable.

The Resort of Potaras is great all round place everyone catered for people are friendly.
There are the normal things Bars shops entertainment shows boat trips excellent value the Big Red Bus trip too!!!Great Place great walk way that takes you along the coast line with bars and plenty of seating so you can stroll just sit and people watch or go in a bar wheither you want a toastie and a cuppa or a pint everything there for ypu the people love to please you and make you feel at home!!!

The resort itself is ok , the boardwalk that has been built recently is very nice, you can walk all way to protaras and is very pleasant. The local bars like spectrum was the saving grace for our holiday, Angelo made us feel very welcome and cheered with the brits when England went through to the next round in the world cup.Lots of lovely restaurants and bars near to the beach. The cypriots as always are very nice people.

The beach is located just outside the hotel and is lovely and clean . Sunloungers are very reasonably priced. There are a few cafes to choose from along the beach.There are loads of good places to eat as well special mention to costas at tropical dreams restaurant up the hill from hotel he is a really nice man. The food and service are excellent and nothing is too much trouble for him.Also the Raj indian restaurant on the main road across from the chapel on the hill the food is lovely there as well.For a lively night out try Bell's bar.The Sfinx and the Greenery are also good.Us ladies will be back again!!!!!
