Beware of this place, First Choice have offered a reimbursement as food was a little below standard, awful hotel.

My brother and his wife had previously been to this hotel and highly recommended it. After reading reviews I was apprehensive. I had very mixed opinions about it.
Daytime - hotel setting and surroundings were lovely being close to the beach and beautiful scenery. The entertainers tried hard and were very friendly. However, the spa staff just wouldn't take no for an answer until we threatened to complain.
Catering - the cattle market buffet wasn't the best and when we found a dead moth in the ice cream the waiter had to cheek to ask if it tasted nice! We complained and were upgraded to the 'one visit' restaurant instead.
Rooms - very much in need of renovation and we were told they were being renovated during the summer.
Evening - nice relaxing atmosphere in the reception but all entertainment was dreadful!
We ARE returning in October as it was already booked so let us wait and see!!!!!

First visit to this resort and after reading other reports i was a bit apprehensive about our holiday. But once we got there my doughts were all washed away. It is a lovely place clean,extremly friendly staff( my boys made some good friendships with some of them)The only dissappointment was the evening entertainment. After speaking to some people who had been last year it had really changed. There was no shows in the outside ampitheatre only in Finnleys and that was just full of small children(mine are 15 and 12)until 9.30 then the so called local entertainers started. We were told by the rep at the welcome meeting that they have a turn around of 2 weeks entertainment programme so you don't see the same act twice but we did on at least 2 occations we walked out of a few of them as they were so appaling.There was a live singer some nights in the tea garden but that was it you had to make your own entertainment lucky we like playing cards!!.
The rooms were spotless and the resort itself you couldn't fault the small pool was really warm but the big cold pool warmed up towards the end of our stay as temperatures raised to 41c.
The reps didn't make themselves very visable we saw them more when they were off duty!!
Yes we would go back if the entertainment improved you even get your name put on a tree if you return more than 5 times!!!

We loved this hotel so much when we went last year that we have just returned from our second trip, this place is still fantastic with some of the friendliest staff ever. We were remembered as soon as we walked through the door and not one member of staff who we got chatting to last time didn

This was our second time visiting this hotel and we found it every bit as pleasant as the first time. The bar staff remembered us (from December 2008) and advised us on our first night that we should tell Reception we are returning customers and we'll get a "green" band rather than the normal blue band. There were no major benefits to this green band but the staff all know you are a returning customer and treat you very well. We also had a lovely fruit basket delivered to our room which was a nice wee surprise.
The hotel needs a bit of a TLC but to be honest, it wasnt bad. The rooms could be doing with a lick of paint and some new furniture. But, we knew what to expect.. plus it's a lot better than some hotels we've been in, in the past.

stayed over xmas and new year , first impressions was how large the hotel and grounds was , but soon found our way around.the pools was great one heated which was as warm as a bath and the other was fresh water which was alot bigger but alot colder, the rooms was very big and cleaned daily with fresh towels and the odd days of towel art which was a nice touch, the hotel was very clean and all the toilets was cleaned every 10 minutes it seemed and all the areas around the complex was always being cleaned. the food was what you would expect of all inclusive , but with a few nights of specials like curry night or bbq and there was a pasta station so you could always find someting to your liking, also the breakfast was good but mainly egg based but lots of tea and coffee served to you when ever you wanted it. the mermaid bar/ food bar was also ok if you wanted to eat outside in the day without getting dressed to go into the main eating place. the entertainment was the usual mini disco , bingo and floor shows and rep shows which was ok people seemed to enjoy it and the team worked hard and did some good shows over the main days of xmas. would go again anytime of year but over xmas was great because it was in the 80s everyday , the only complant we had was the beer and sprits was not the best so advise you to take afew bottles in yourself and just have there soft drinks.

hotel very clean, in need of some refurbishment in particular poolside and room furniture, sunbeds and covers getting very scruffy. wooden furniture in the room was in need of repair we booked a double select room, tea and coffee supplied and creamer,dvd player was unreliable. Very large balcony although again hit and miss some north side and very small, others very large and south facing. The staff were extremly attentive sometimes too much so.The food was a bit hit and miss,somedays lots of really good choices, others you struggled to find anything decent to eat, fresh pasta and pizza most nights cooked with a sauce of choice. on a theme night chinese or egyptian sometimes very poor.We found the soups very good and lots of bread selection.excellent location right on the beach can walk on the pontoon to look at the fish or snorkelling, for walking on the coral beach shoes required and there is a spa and diving facilities if needed, small play area for children out the back with football pitch, pool and playhouse, one very warm pool and one very cold pool, towells provided.

Second visit to this hotel and again we had a fabulous time. The staff instantly recognised us and treated us very well. They are always friendly, happy and helpful. The cleanliness was superb, rooms spotless and lovely towel animals left on the bed. Weather again fantastic, entertainment team worked very hard and did their best but we enjoyed just sitting on the terrace listening to the background music and the singer that came in twice a week. This hotel is the perfect place to unwind and recharge your batteries. Swimming pool was a bit cold but the sea is warm. you can walk out in the sea to a vast distance and still only be up to your knees. We are looking forward to returning in February.

stayed here in november for two weeks, the hotel, food, and weather along with the staff was excellent. the rooms we had were very spacious and were cleaned every day with clean towels and bedding. Food, there was plenty of choice for everyone. we did find the location of this hotel abit out of the way...to go shopping was a nightmare we have been to tunisa and thought that was bad but we foung egypt worse....the entertainment was very funny but they were lovely guys who you couldn't help but like....beware of the flies and mozzies they really leave a nasty bite......the airport was a nightmare going home planes were being held up through inconsiderate english people who weren't paying attention to what time their departure was thus creating a back-log of flights.
