We have just returned from 1 weeks holiday in the Hauza Hotel and we wished we had booked for 2 weeks.

I read the reviews on this hotel before we went(after we had booked ) and I was very nervous.

The hotel is very good, in our opinion it is a 4 star.

Our room was clean, the food was good and varied.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and not fishing for tips.

Drinks were very strong (including whisky)

This hotel is at best 2 star. I would only recommend staying here if it was very cheap.

Food is Buffet style, is the same for ever day and for lunch and dinner. The food quality is very poor.

Staff service is again poor to the point of non existence. All Inclusive drinks are often served in plastic throw away cups which means you either have to keep going back or just give up.

The pool area is actually quite good and access to the reef from the beach is good.

This hotel is in my opinion badly managed and could given a few changes reach 3-4 star. Rooms are adequate but water and elctricity did tend to break and I heard many complaints to this effect from all nationalities during my week.

This is mainly to encourage anyone looking for this hotel to contact Medhotels U.K. They are the only U.K. operator offering the hotel this year 2005.

We are among many who enjoyed our holiday there and that was because we were all treated as individuals. Nothing was too much trouble. When comments were made any problems were dealt with efficiently and with profuse apology. The staff were plentiful with 95% English speaking and all with a smile at any time of the day or night.

This is a resort with a great deal going for it this is all down to the staff. The hotel its self is comfortable and like many growing in size. The food was plentiful and very varied. Anyone who goes hungry there does so by choice. The bread and meat taste the way they should as they are all natural ingredients even eggs taste different. I could go on all day.

We are booked for this season and are taking family with us as they want to sample this paradise for themselves. Why not try it for yourself. You wont be disappointed. We are flying independently with Redsea flights (Astreaus) 3 times a week from London Gatwick

It was very good on the whole.

The food was great except from the fact that everyone we spoke to got the runs.
We were all sick for the whole holiday but this did not put us off.

The staff we as polite as ever and especially one.

The hotel grounds are extremely attractive and beautifully laid out. The brochure states that there are several restaurants, which attracted us as we like a variety of foods. Only one huge buffet was open on our first week and you had to queue for it. There was no atmosphere. Most nights the dinner offered was below average. Lunch was better. The tablecloths and seat pads were faded and old looking. On the second week another restaurant opened but you could only eat until 8pm as it was hired for Italian clients after eight. The (buffet again) food was the same as the first restaurant. There were other restaurants which were closed.
There is only one bar inside the hotel - the lobby bar which has only a few tables and hard, uncomfortable chairs. The area has a large pool table and several travel company desks. We expected a spacious lobby, some sofas and soft seating areas. The food at the beach bar which closed at 5 was extra. Poor selection of drinks. No whisky, which my husband drinks, tonic which I like despite the fact it could be bought in the hotel shop, or liqueurs, not even the cheaper ones like Creme de Menthe. Fruit "juices" were cheap, nasty and contained high quantities of sugar.
Hotel is located on the beach which is a fair size though not in a long strand. Staff were just OK. Entertainment was pretty bad.
All in all a beautifully laid out hotel with masses of potential. No way is it five star.

I originally booked a week in February 2005 at this hotel with Thomas Cook.

They have moved us to the Dream Beach resort because of the negative feedback they have received from other clients of their's.

Hope this information helps.

We had a good time at Hauza Beach even though I don't think we will go back again.

The complex was very big and they were still finishing things off when we were there.

Our daughter liked the little zoo and the Italian entertainment team, the only thing was they seemed to do everything from the mini club to the evening entertainment.

The food was not great below average.

The mini club was ok, could be better.

The entertainment in the evening was not amazing, and it was often too cold to sit and watch them as the theatre was in the open.

The hotel staff were reasonable and the hotel in general was clean, the electrics and safety standards could be improved.
