We stayed at the Park Inn (renamed)on an all inclusive basis with a family of 5 in two rooms in July. Here are the facts on a basis of you get what you pay for & we got a really good deal as we booked really early, got a free child & had our flight changed with a good discount. With all this taken into consideration the holiday was excellent value for money. We looked into the possibility of booking again next for year, but as it was going to cost over

This hotel has now changed its name to the Park In resort. On arrival there were no rooms available and we were put up for the night in a part finished block at the rear of the complex. The next day we moved rooms and this was a great improvement very clean and spacious.

The hotel and its staff were of the highest callibre, what really let the hotel down was the awfull food, I have never had food as bad as this in any hotel I have ever stayed in.

This would make a great B&B hotel but a complete waste of time going AI .

Have just returned from unfortunatley only a week in Sharm el Sheik... my goodness what a holiday, we arrived the first night to a very hospitible welcome, with a drink of orange juice which was well needed!

Tipping is a must here and you will need to tip the bell boys, the man who puts ur cases on te coach, the waiters, the housekeeper etc! Nightmare but they wait on you hand and foot afterwards, well worth a pound or two! They appreciate everything, apparently living on only

We have been to Sharm before but have never stayed at such a poor hotel.Although the rooms were nice and the staff tried their very best to please you the hotel was poorly ran.We are not fussy eaters and will try anything but the food in this hotel was awful. The entertainment was a joke.Although the pools looked lovely my husband and my son both got ear infections.
The chilled drinks machines ony worked accasionally
so when the ice ran out it was warm pop or nothing.Water was not available to buy at the beach bar for the whole two weeks we were there. One day the beach bar could only provide dry batches and chips for lunch and free ice cream for the kids is only available at the beach and not on the complex.Beach bus is not always reliable.

Had great holiday in Golden Resort (Park Inn). Hotel excellent although location not great its only 25 minute drive to Namma Bay in taxi and taxi fare is cheap. Namma bay hive of activity plenty of shops bars etc and Hard Rock Cafe, KFC and McDonalds. Food was a one week menu so it was repeated the second week. Plenty of choice for all meals even for the most fussy of eaters. Waiters in restaurant and bars very pleasant (especially Mohamad Saad and Tarek)Ask Mohamad to make a 'Whatever' cocktail (very potent). Across the road is the SAS Raddison which leads to the beach. The snorkelling amazing and the fish amazing. Pool area very pleasant and clean towels for the pool every day so you dont need to bring your towels with you on holiday. Travelled to Cairo to Pyramids, Museum etc. Booked the trip with Sini Tours

Have just returned from two weeks at the Golden Resort/Park Inn and have had an absolutely fantastic time.

The weather was hot hot hot but after a few days you managed to get used to it. We were upgraded to a select room which was fantastic with a good view of the pool. The room was very spacious and kept extremely clean by our room attendant who was absolutely brilliant.

The food was very good and there was a lot of choice. Danish pastries at breakfast were a must and I have to say the six pounds I gained whilst away was worth it!

All our party did suffer with stomach cramps and upset tummys but I have to say I dont think this was due to the food, probably a lot to do with cold drinks and the very cold air conditioning in the rooms. I had to laugh when we arrived in our room as there was an exceptionally thick duvet on the bed, as the temperature was 37 degrees at 10 pm at night. But the air conditoning was second to none and we would wake up freezing in the night glad of the thick duvet!

Entertainment was not very good but apparently on 2nd August they were opening their new bar and the entertainment was supposed to be improving.

If you want a good sunbed with shade then prepare to get up early. We were going down at 5.30 am every morning to secure one but by the end of the holiday we learnt that if you tipped the towel man he would apparently reserve one for you. There is no need to take beach towels as you are given a towel card and can get towels for the pool every day and even use them if you go out on trips.

I feel we have to give a special mention to Mohamed in the pool bar (Geezer) he is the Arsenal fan and he was always cheerful. Wael was one of our waiters in the restaurant and he was really sweet. Adel in reservations was most helpful as well.

The snorkelling is absolutely fantastic and it is quite reasonable to buy snorkel, masks and flippers at the local shop. Naama Bay was fantastic for shopping and very cheap albeit very hot. We went to Cleo waterpark whilst we were there as the kids were disappointed that the waterpark had not been finished. It was ok but really not that much there but nethertheless they enjoyed it.

All in all we had a fabulous relaxing holiday. The hotel was clean and all the staff were fantastic. In fact we enjoyed it so much we have just booked to go back next July and hopefully by then the water park will have been completed.

A last note. We flew with First Choice from Bristol and I was 3 kgs overweight for which we were charged

When we arrived check in was very quick and hassle free.
Our rooms were great the best we have ever had bar none!
Staff very friendly on the whole.

Our waiter wael was fantastic but moved to another hotel during our 2nd week wich was a shame.

The bedouin evening has now been abandoned as the new bar has opened.

Evening entertainment is poor but your holiday is what you make it and we had a great time.

Dont miss snorkeling fab.

Food is good gets a bit repetitive but what all inc doesnt?
Hotel beautiful but very hot lots of burnt children and adults ouch!

This hotel would be ok for 1week but 2weeks is very long.
and as for the entertainment what entertainment? Dont get me wrong they try realy hard with the staff they have got but...its not very good (the hotel will only pay for 2 entertainers!!!!)

If you are taking young children the food is not very good one night we had bird soup :( and all the entertainment is at the pool bar so after watching your children all day so they wont fall in the pool you have to do it at night as well!!

We stayed here due to the Holiday Village not being ready in time, Staff brilliant, really friendly & chatty. Pools nice, rooms spacious and clean. Food was ok, however my husband and 2 children were very ill, probably due to the fact that I stayed away from the duck and they didn't. My 11 & 9 year olds were bored rigid each evening, absolutely no entertainment, just other guests playing cards etc. If you have no children and just want a nice place to sleep, this is the place for you, if you have kids stay away!
