Found the staff very good, pool area was lovely, rooms basic considering this is meant to be a 5* hotel. If you managed to find a table in the restaurant, they were usually dirty and then you had a while until they brought more plates/cutlery/cups. Food did not cater for children or the english. Every night was a different theme night i.e. french, italian, but never english. Food was not the best to say the least!

Entertainment more or less non-existant, and what little there was, poor.

Hi all been back 2 weeks and here is the good the bad and the ugly..

Firstly yes the hotel does have a problem on the restaurant side -- I'll come to that later.

The hotel itself is massive there is the older section 3 pools (1 heated) and very crowded even in February.

Struggled to get a sunbed after 9.30, yes its not 5 stars and is a bit dated in parts, the 2 bars are tiny and the day time entertainment was volleyball and bowls and nighttime was 1 man singing the same songs every night.

The new section is 3 quarters built and its fantastic 2 pools and a jacuzzi the main pool is lovely and heated, there is even a waterfall feature, we spent all our time down there as it wasnt fully booked and we had no problem getting sun beds.

NOW THE MAIN PROBLEM .... the restaurant what a nightmare, as the restaurant in the newer section is still being built everyone from there has to eat in the older part and yes it is a cattle market and a free for all..about a thousand people trying the get breakfast between 8 till 10 lunch 12 till 2 and dinner 6.30 till 10
they just could not cope.

If you manage to get a table they were often dirty and you had to clean it yourself -- sometimes no cutlery and they often ran out of cups, ordered drinks with every meal and they very rarely turned up, you had to feel sorry for the staff at times they were running around like headless chickens.

A little tip eat as late as you can for dinner we went down at 9.15 and got a table on problem (it seamed everyone wanted to eat a 7 lol).

If your going there in the summer there should not be a problem as the newer section restaurant will be open. If your going in the next few weeks .. eat out lol

If you can get accommodated in the new section do it --its much better than the older section.

Enjoy your hols.

I stayed here in early Feb 08 for a week with Thomsons and to sum it up I was glad I went but definitely won't be going back.

This is a large hotel on the outskirts of Naama Bay and is getting bigger with building work going on although, I have to say, I never heard any of it.

The people who work there are fantastic. Always smiling and extremely helpful. And the hotel itself was spotless.
Weather was ok for February but it does get dark early.
The room I had was really good. Plenty of space and looked very modern.

The problems started with mealtimes. There seemed to be a thousand people in the hotel all with elbows and cutlery clashing in only 3 restaurants. It wasn't the sort of place you would dwell and enjoy your meal. More like let's get this over with. The waiters though well meaning were very busy.

Then we move onto the entertainment. There was none. A belly dancer for the Egyptians one night and that was that.

There was an awful lot of people there and only 2 bars where, if you wanted a beer, it came from a bottle-no draught.

One bright spot though was the beach apartments where I went on about 4 occasions. There is a bus service that runs regularly from the hotel. The restaurant was different quality with waiters who had time to serve. You can also go there at night to eat and I heartily recommend this with an actual menu.

Also to be recommended is the beach. Not so much the beach but what it leads to. The coral reef. This is absolutely fantastic. Snorkelling amongst the brightly coloured fish was a highlight.
One evening I was getting cabin fever and decided to get a taxi into Naama Bay. Big mistake. I know there are some people who love this type of thing but I hated it. There is no way you can prepare yourself for the assault of people wanting to drag you into their shop to buy something at a 'special price'. I heard stories of people not being let out until they had bought something.

I dived into the Hard Rock Cafe for a beer and on the way back, as I had the all inclusive band on, was accosted no less than 10 times by people asking if I wanted a taxi back to Kiroseiz..

That and the fact that it was a 5 and a 1/2 hour flight back (flying bores me but I know Egypt is never going to get any closer) made it an experience I will not be repeating.

This was our third visit to the hotel and although we absolutely loved it on the previous two occasions we were very disappointed this time.

It now has a new general manager, restaurant manager and head chef who have let this hotel go downhill.

The food selection was very limited, disgusting, cold and undercooked and the waiters were so busy due to understaffing that they couldn't even stop to say good morning.

After 4 times in Sharm this was our first time suffering tummy troubles and were forced to eat out for the rest of our stay.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and this is a beautiful hotel but we are extremely disappointed in the restaurant situation.

The hotel is being extended, with more guests and less staff causing major overcrowding in small restaurant. This is a beautiful, clean and well situated hotel with great amenities but our only problem is the restaurant situation.

We would love to return but feel it is impossible because the food is so bad. Hi to Una and Arthur. Hope you both got home safe and didn't need the tablets!!!

This hotel is in crisis. They have opened another whole side of hundreds of rooms, but not provided any more facilities for it. Therefore, you have a dining room which can sit 300 catering for 1400 people. It was like a cattle market. Cutlery plates and cups ran out as did the food. It's not all inclusive as food isn't available all of the time. The food was very much based on vegetables & veal. There was absolutely nothing for children and the one time they put chicken in the kids corner, it was still bloody!!!

I never thought I would say this, but thank goodness for MacDonalds!!

The travel cot I was given was broken and unsafe. There is no internet access, they are saying this is all over Egypt but after paying a taxi to go about a mile down the road, I found some.

I am sure that when the building & plans are finished this hotel will be excellent. However, the company had no right to describe it as 5* and continue selling holidays there until it's sorted.

We looked on holiday truths and thought this hotel would be the ideal place to spend my birthday, how wrong could we have been. The hotel is very clean and the staff helpful and friendly but the food yuk. It appears some weeks before we arrived the hotel had problems with kitchen staff, they left. We were both very ill, no food was ever served hot some food was served without being cooked. I only managed to eat for two days before becoming ill, I spent most of the holiday in the hotel room, by Sunday I ended up on a drip. The in house doctor was very good, but we had to pay

In our opinion this hotel is certainly 5* as advertised. Our bedroom was ok but the bathroom was not at all clean.
The food was not good and like one of the other guests reports we were both ill and indeed I had to stay off work for a week when I returned home.
Yes the pool area is good and the staff are friendly but this was my first experience of an "all inclusive" holiday and I will not be keen to go on another one.
We absolutley hated our holiday here but plentyu of other people seem to like it so maybe it is just us?
No excuse for the awful food and appalling entertainment!!
We will not be returning!

Having read my last report I noticed the mistake in the first sentance so wanted to make it clear. We certainly did NOT class this hotel as 5*.
Our only saving grace was that we hadnt booked for two weeks!!

The beach bungalow food was lets say basic.Breakfasts and dinners were exclusively for beach guests(22 beach huts/44 guests) but the dinners siting were empty.

Food standards, presentations were not 5 star and many beach guests traveled to the main hotel for evening food and enterainments.

Narmma bay is a short taxi drive away, costs from 3 to 5 pounds. Beach staff were very good and give the beach guests that little extra care and atention but i cannot help expressing my feelings that although we tipped all the staff, they were disapointed not to recieve more
I would visit the beach bungalows again but the main hotel is what is expected from all red sea resorts and it is not 5 star.

On negative note we suffered (the runs)while at the hotel and with converstions with other guests this was not isolated but the normal.

Trips/ bedwin night was a let down ,too commercial and not traditional.

The big plus was the beach jetty over the reef to the snorkelling area.really good and a must.We snorkelled every day, thoughout the day.

Just remember you are in Eygpt and nobody does any think for nothing. But a couple on
