After previous Egyptian holidays on arrival I was a little disappointed with the small size of the complex and lack of facilities. The room we got however 1087 was in an excellent location over looking the larger pool and near the only free restaurant on the complex.
The January weather 0800 to 1600 nice and hot around 80 but when the sun dropped don

first visit to egypt and was not dissapointed. the st george is a fantastic place to stay.the staff are very friendly and they work so hard to make your stay memorable. our room-lovely.food-excellent. both pools beautiful and cleaned every day. towels supplied for pool at hotel and at the beach. you go to beach on free hotel shuttle bus. well worth a visit. your All Inc applies there too. food and drinks provided. and loads of plush sunloungers. my husband and me and our friends were impressed from day one. wish we had booked for 2 weeks. we will definately go back. the temp for our week never dropped below 35 degrees.

The first thing I would say about this hotel is that you get exactly what you pay for, repetitive all inclusive facilities that often leave a lot to be desired.
My Mum and I stayed for 10 nights here and by day 4/5 we were pretty sick of the bland food on offer. I pity anyone travelling with kids as there was very little on offer for them. Approx 2 nights out of 10 there were chips available. Being a vegetarian, things were not too bad for me as they cook a lot of rice and vegetables and always had pasta available, but for meat eaters choice was often limited. On the whole as I said, very repetitive, enough to put you off eating for a while.
Drinks were served in small glasses inside or very small plastic cups outside, meaning several repeat trips to the bar, we saw some repeat guests who had brought their own from home, big plastic tumblers and that seemed to be acceptable so I would recommend that to anyone travelling there.
Ice cream is available in the daytime but is only free to children, adults are required to pay.
There is little atmosphere at the hotel, the main lobby bar is pretty boring, no background music, the animation team also leave a lot to be desired but this seems to be the norm in Egypt.
There are two main pool areas, one is "the noisy pool" and the other is "the quiet pool". If noisy thumping music all day is your thing then the noisy pool is the one for you (its the one nearest the restaurant) but if like us, you like to relax then head to the quiet pool. Sunbeds are always reserved despite the rules, but if you cant beat them, join them!
Hotel is overall, lovely and clean and staff are friendly, but this is a budget all inclusive, not worth more than a 3 star, and despite claims of many repeat guests its definitely not one I would visit again.

Me my partner and our 7 year old son have just returned from a fortnights all inclusive holiday to st george.
This hotel is clean and our room was cleaned on a daily basis. The resort has entertainment on 6 nights a week but only from 9 until 11 once the entertainment is finished that is it there is little else to do there. Entertainment included karaoke, bingo, belly dancer and magician. We found it hard to keep our son entertained on a night luckily he met friends later in the holiday. Had the entertainment been on longer things would have been much better and less boring. We visited the beach a few times using the free shuttle bus from the hotel. The shuttle bus is excellent and we had no problems at all getting to and from the beach, they are very prompt though so dont be late. It is a lovely clean beach the sea is amazing however sandals are required as the beach is not sand more of a fine grit, however this is not a problem as said aslong as you have something on your feet. I recommend a boat trip out into the red sea i was astounded by how beautiful the coral etc..was. Although i would visit Egypt again i wouldnt go back to St.George we found the food repetitive (always rice potato veg any meat was cut for you by staff and little was given). We had major problems with our 7 year old as did the families we met. The kids food corner only had 2 choices 1 always salad the other choice ranging from pizza, toast, hotdogs (which were spicy) burgers which were tiny a few times a week there were fries. Although i think the staff try they just dont have the food quite right.Drinks are given in very small plastic cups which mant you are constantly backwards and forwards to the bar. I recommend taking some large plastic cups of your own and keep getting these refilled. My partner was also ill for 2 days and ended up in the clinic on a drip several other families had stomach problems too. The weather is amazing and all said it was a good relaxing holiday. This is a place to go if you want to lie by the pool for a week in the blazing sun and do little else. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere so you can't actually walk anywhere you need to get a taxi. There is a shopping centre 25 mins away although not finished yet and also when it is 46 degrees it is too far to walk especially with a child. I would say though we managed for a fortnight and im sure you will to. Hope this helps a bit

Me and my family went to this hotel for 10 nights. The hotel was lovely and clean, rooms cleaned every day, pool area and bar areas also nice and clean. The food is very repetative, i was ok as i like salad, rice, pasta, potatoes, but my partner ate very little. They only did chips 1 meal whilst we were there and they were suppose to be for the children, when my partner went up for some he got asked if it was for a child. My 3 yr old boy lived on pasta and potatoes. We found out that McDonalds and the other fast food restaurants delivered, so the last 3 days my parner and son had them. I was really disappointed with the drinks from the pool bar as they poar them from a bottle, which is kept in the sun, so quite often we were given warm cola or lemonade, which was not what we wanted to have when the weather was a scroching 47 degrees. The childrens ice cream was just a pile of slop, this was kept in the freezer but with the door open as they were serving it, i was also disappointed that they only serviced this between 3 and 5 in the afternoon. Many parents wanted to keep children wearing t'shirts whilst in the pool, if the t'shirts were not white we were asked to take them out of the pool. The day entertainment were ok. The evening entertainment was really poor. Where you sit for the evening entertainment is next to a s### farm, and the smell wafted across you during the night. Ensure that you take with you some strong insect repelland. I do not know of anyone that we met that did not get bitten, some were quite a mess. I know most of my review was negative, but i would go back to this hotel.

we stayed in st georges and it was a fab holiday, the food was good and the drinks were good, we took our own plastic cups, larger than the ones they give you and they had no quams about filling it up with alcohol. the cleaners were out all day cleaning the rooms and the hotel, couldnt find fault on this, infact they made crocodiles and other animals with the towels and left them on the bed. the location of the hotel is good its only about 15 mins from the airport, n they have their own bus to get you up and down to their own private beach, where its all inclusive on there too, we went out a walk every day down to the markets and along to where they are building all the new shops, very good walk if you like walking. the staff cant do enough for you, few very friendly waiters and the hotel manager are very helpful, the entertainment could be a bit better but we won the mr and mrs competition, which was a good laugh, we booked up again for next year and were going back to st georges again.
the all day boat trips and the snorkling are not to be missed, so is the trip to cairo, it was amazing, were gonna do it again next year and also go to luxor to see the valley of the kings, if you do go try the quad biking, its brilliant and go out for your dinner in the bedouin camp.

Our room was cleaned every day, by polite staff. Tables in the lounge/bar area were wiped and cleared regularly. The beach has been taken over by the hotel, also the restaurant on the beach, now the beach is raked and rolled every morning, and much better managed. We could not fault the choice of food, something for all tastes, and well presented. The hotel has a good shuttle service, so reaching the beach, and Naama bay is no problem, but too far to walk to. Staff were very friendly, with a great sense of humour, and very polite. Entertainment, I believe, was quite good, but we only attended a couple of times so can't comment too much, people we spoke to seemed to enjoy it. We will be going back next year, and we very seldom return to the same place.

we have stayed here twice, and have booked again for 2010.cannot fault this hotel at all.the wide range of food means that you are bound to find something to your taste. the cleanliness of the rooms are second to none.in fact all areas of st. george are spotless. i cant praise the staff enough, nothing is too much trouble, they are so friendly, and have a lovely sense of humour(even understanding my husbands silly jokes) Cant wait to see them all again, especially two certain barmen who we keep in touch with.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at St George, it was our anniversary on 1st May so I emailed the hotel a couple of days before we left to see if they could allocate a nice room and also book Chez Pascal for us, I received an email within a few hours saying they would do their best and that the restaurant was booked as requested.. We were allocated room 2075 which had a lovely view overlooking the pool with the restaurants in the background. The room was large complete with couch, table and chairs, it was in excellent condition. The hotel is not to big and we preferred the noisy pool, the quiet pool was just as it says very very quiet.

The meals in the buffet restaurant were very good with a reasonable variation on different days. Chez Pascal is excellent and although its not all inclusive it is very reasonable. We ate twice and for soup then steaks for 2 was a total of
