We have stayed with Blue Riband frequently since 2006 and find the family run bungalows are always clean and well equipped. We have loved our family holidays with them. Including the miniature railway.

Belle Aire Chalet and Site

Not happy with our chalet ! bathroom had a terrible personal hygiene smell (nauseating!) , chalet very tatty, beds hard and old . An asthma inhaler lying under a chair which showed the level of cleaning done between bookings. faded old pictures on the wall - one which has even parted company at the top with its frame. It is the first time we have used Blue Riband and their standards seem very low.
Belle Aire has changed this time, although I have been going there for quite a few years. The site has lost its lustre and sparkle. I found it quite grim and more run down now, Cars with youths in and around, outside in car park with loud music, smoking drugs on a couple of evenings. I was fearful for the safety of my car as they parked right next to it . Abusive screaming and shouting from an occupant moving out but no security around. Quite a bit of litter too unfortunately. It seems to have a lot of non holiday people who are living there for actual accommodation (not chalet owners) rather than holidays, so it don't think it is a true description by calling it a holiday park .

I will not go again to Belle Aire or possibly with Blue Riband as their standards are not acceptable .

Hotel tip: rent from actual individual owners. and if you want to stay at Belle Aire, choose a chalet well away from the main entrance

Premises not cleaned properly before we arrived , beds uncomfortable ,duvet covers not changed from previous clients so didn't smell very pleasant,bins full as bin men don't arrive until the Monday, crockery stained and some even unwashed,cutlery dirty. Hoover smelt really awful when we used it - the mop looked like it hadn't been used for a long time too.

The location of the bungalow was good ,very near the beach but it didn't make up for the unsatisfactory condition on arrival.

Spoke to neighboring bungalows and all seemed to be in the same condition.

blue ribband was not cleaned properly, and the appliences need pat testing, most was in need of updating, beds not good, and some appliences rusty
ive been on holiday with this company many times and its never changed.....

just to follow on from our last report, the chalet on belle aire was much nicer than last years. it is privately owned with modern fitted kitchen and bathroom, clean good quality mattresses on the beds. the only downside was the sofas and carpets, which were pink, could have done with a clean

we stayed at the belle aire chalet site. chalets all terraced ,unlike the sea dell site which are all detached.chalets vary in decor,if you are lucky to get a privately owned one, it should have modern furniture and carpets,otherwise some are quite awful. a good club on site with reasonable priced food and entertainment in the evening. lots of shops and take away food stalls on beach road, all leading to a nice beach ,agood for families who arent too fussy about accommodation and you dont have to go too far for a choice of pubs
