Upon arrival at Kessingland all seemed well and the check in process went smoothly and quickly and we were soon directed to our mobile home.
Unfortunately when we got to it, the first impressions of the area around the mobile home did not look promising, with litter, waste food and cigarette ends strewn all around and underneath.
So with trepidation the door was opened and sure enough it was not much better inside, with dust all around, human hairs (yes those ones) stuck in just about every corner possible in the bathroom, dead fly's squashed on the walls, a broken litter bin, a fridge with a freezer compartment containing more ice than the wilds of Antarctica, damaged kitchen doors, stained and dirty upholstery, dirty windows, a television and bedroom light that didn't work and a totally un-accessible shaver point.
Needless to say complaints where made and to be fair the television and light where repaired quickly but shouldn't these and the unacceptable lack of basic maintenance and cleaning be checked BEFORE anyone is given the keys to their holiday home?
In summary Kessingland is a reasonable area to stay in, but our advice would be try looking for alternative accommodation to Kessingland Beach Holiday Park run by Park Resorts as our experience was very poor to say the least and needless to say we will not be returning.
