This hotel is situated a few miles from Berlin-Schonefeld airport, and about 15 miles south-east of Berlin city centre. The fact that it was on the outskirts of Berlin did not detract from the holiday, as the train station was opposite with regular (every ten minutes or so) trains into the Centre. A "one-price ticket" (5.80 euros) would allow you to travel on all trains, trams and buses until 3.00a.m. the next morning.
The hotel itself was modern, warm and clean, with a typical German buffet breakfast (cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, breads, fruit juices, yoghurts, fruit and cereals), as well as teas and coffee. There are no other meals provided, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area - a German one next door, then a Chinese and various Italian, Turkish and Indian ones.
