Do not ask the co-owner Dimitris for a good room, you will probably get the same response as I did.
Try any other hotel or restaurant, there are plenty in the area

San Stefanos is just what we wanted in that was quiet and relaxing with a few bars and restaurants scattered aroud. A lovely village feel about it with the locals being so friendly and welcoming.
We hired quads for all 17 of us and saw how beautiful the surrounding countryside was (only 10 euro's for 2 hours, unbelievably cheap!)
We also had a trip to a huge water park in Corfu town which was good fun too!
I would recommend ozzie oils for good food and a great welcome and also Zorbas and the little prince for nice food and a great atmosphere with greek dancing thrown in.
My favourite venue was at the new Beachcomber bistro what a fantastic setting over looking the beautiful long sandy beach with the sun setting you couldn't ask for more.
Also a must to try if you like curry is at the Perros hotel for the chicken or beef Curry, ok I know its not greek but The owner Stefanos makes it himself and its absolutly scrummie (makes a nice change too)
We had a few 18- 20's with us and there were a couple of livelier but safe and friendly bars for them there too with some entertainment but if thats not lively enough you can always get a cab cheaply into neigbouring Sidari for popcorn parties etc(yuk!) they did just that a couple of times and had a great time.
I will definatly be returning for a holiday where you feel chilled the minute you arrive !!!!!!!

If your looking for a quiet traditional Greek holiday you won't be disappointed. There are plenty of Tavernas to eat in and are all reasonably price.
The beach is clean and gently shelves into the sea making it safe for children. I found the further to the right you walked along the beach, the nicer it got but be warned, at the extreme right end of the beach you will find naturists letting it all hang out. It takes all sorts to make a world!
After a hard days sunbathing take a drink at one of the very relaxing beach bars.

San Stefanos is a great resort. It probably is not ideal for those looking for a Kavos / Sidari type place (eg 18 to 30s madness) but if you are looking for a good choice of tavernas, bars and shops and a relaxing atmosphere, San Stefanos is the place for you. The resort is based around a wonderful, turquiose bay which has a wide, gently shelving beach (ideal for kids). There are watersports on the beach and you can hire sunbeds and umbrellas for about 7 euro per day. At the bottom of the cliff path from The Romanza hotel, there is a nudist beach if you head to the right (enough to put you off your lunch!!)but everything to the left is suitable for all.
One recomendation - Hire a moped!!! We got a 100cc moped from Spiros (opp Thomas Bay Hotel). 17 euro per day. Excellent value as we travelled all the way to Paleokastrista on 7 euros of petrol. He also has quad bikes and buggies if you're not confident on 2 wheels.
Restaurants we would recommend are Zorbas and The Little Prince, both of which have greek dancing every night (good fun).

we stayed at the resort from july4th,the resort is very clean no rubbish at all in the village, theire were a few places that had entertainment but if you want 18-30 i would go to Sidari or Kavos as it is very quiet, the beach is very clean with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas to hire for the day,we will be visting the resort again next year if you want a nice quiet and relaxing holiday then we can recommend san stefanos nw

The resort is spotless and extremely friendly. Everyone is extremely helpful. Hire a car, or bike or buggy to get out and see some more of the island if you can. Most days the beach was lovely, although when windy it can be spoilt at the waters edge by extreme amounts of seaweed, though once you walk out about a metre the water is extremely clean and a joy to swim in.
We found the entertainment to be a bit lacking, though the condor had some good acts, though if you prefer to sit in a quiet bar and make your own entertainment you are well catered for.

The resort of San Stefanos was very clean & friendly. The locals & shop keepers were very helpful. There were plenty of supermarkets, bars & restaurants so we were able to eat out if we wanted a change from the hotel food. We had heard that the Condor Bar was 'the' place to go for evening entertainment but we were quite disappointed with it. The singer who was on when we visited was a very talented person but we were looking for livelier music that night. During our week there we went down to the beach twice. The first time, although very hot weather, there was a strong wind, so strong that the guy in charge of the sunbeds & brollies actually gave us a second brolly (at no extra cost) and put it diagonally into the sand so that it acted as a windbreak. The second time we visited the beach, it was much calmer but unfortunately the weather had tunred cloudy by that time. However, we felt really safe at all times. There wasn't any hasselling from the locals like you get in other countries. The beach is sandy but with a bit of seaweed which we were told is collected up each day but there was still a fair bit along the waters edge.

The resort of San Stefanos is a really lovely place to spend a relaxing, chilled out holiday, there is not alot in the resort itself, but you are able to hire a car, beach buggy, Quad Bike, moped or even a Mountain Bike. The people in general are very friendly and helpful.
There is usually something going on in the bars/tavernas to entertain in the evenings.
The beach itself is nothing to write home about, we felt it was quite dirty and not a very nice looking beach especially with the small river running into the sea, but other people thought it was lovely.
We would definately visit this resort again, but we would only visit if we were staying in an apartment because in the resort of San Stefanos all holiday makers are allowed to use the facilities of any Hotel or complex within the resort. Therefore, our thinking on this resort was you might as well find somewhere as cheap as possible to lay your head down at night, go self catering and use the facilities elsewhere saving money at the same time.

A lovely quiet resort with one of the best beaches I have ever seen. Some nice restaurants and bars. The people are great and make everyone feel special. A couple of supermarkets and little shops and a lovely glass factory which is worth a visit. Not too much else but you don't go to San Stefanos for the nightlife. A lovely relaxing quiet holiday

san stef is small but so friendly and you feel so welcombe.the beach is huge and you have to strain your eyes to see who is within 50 metres of you and pop in the Havan bar for a cocktail ar cofee on your way from the beach once you feel so special. and you do feel very safe in the evenings, there are NO larger louts here

Our 4th year in San Stephanos and not our last, enjoyable and relaxing with just enough entertainment. The tavernas were all of a high quality although the Nafsica has definately got the edge. with the 2 princes and Zorbas just behind..
