if you don't like this hotel, stay at home and close the curtains.

Food - Great choice and perfectly cooked.

Accommodation - All you need, and what you expect in a med resort.

Staff - hard working, pleasant

Location - perfect for recharging batteries.

Entertainment - Seemed to work for the guests while we were there.

I remember this as one of the best holidays I have had.

We had read some bad reviews about this hotel. i cannot imagine the reviewers were staying in the same hotel we were.

Hotel was very clean and staff were very frendly.

Breakfast was the same every day sausages were like tinned sausages and what look like cut up bits of ham passed of as bacon. The kids did enjoy the pancakes.

Lunch was ok if you like chips you will love this hotel.

Dinner was good some nights but other nights were only average.

What was very disapointing was the entertainment. The first night was just abysmal a so called comedy night put on by the entertainment staff. Another night they managed to drag out one game of bingo for an hour and half!

The Bar Staff were very good but I thought the lager was very poor.

The kids were very disapointed that the only ice cream included in the all inclusive were at meal times.

You need to be pretty fit to stay at this hotel the hills are real killers there is a bus to the beach every half hour.

Our apartment was very nice and we had a very good maid who was very happy and polite.

The pool was good and was not to crowded but brace your self when you step in brrrr cold. but I would say the lager tasted better at the pool bar.

On the whole we enjoyed our stay but I would say this is not a five star hotel.

If I was you bring yourselves something to do in the evenings as I said earlier the entertainment is at the best poor, good job we had a pack of cards.

We did our research on this hotel before accepting a last minute deal from Sun Star Leisure.

The hotel was really fabulous, there was a choice of pools (noisy v calmer) and the food was good and varied (after all hotels cater for all nationalities). Because of our research we knew it was on a hillside, fairly remote and that Greek 5 star isn't always what it should be. But, the deal was good value and we were realistic with our expectations.

Added bonus is that it has its own beach and we had a truly relaxing 14 days.

The children navigated themselves around to the noisy pool and enjoyed the children's club which was run by hotel staff which meant they made some international friends! Nice mix of guests from Europe but not many English. Our room had 2 bedrooms and balconies and had superb views across the bay. Children can't wait to go back - we prefer not to return to hotels though.

Hired a car the second week (hotel prices the best). I would agree that the hotel entertainment is poor as it is left to the entertainment staff but we prefer not to join in with hotel entertainment anyway - but its there if you need it.

Firstly, I have to say that we were booked to leave for Sharm el Sheikh two days after the bombs so this hotel was booked very last-minute through the same operator (Sunstar).

Notwithstanding what is written below, in the circumstances, we feel we had a good holiday.

The hotel is NOT in Agia Pelagia but on a clifftop nearer Ligeria.

We agree with other websites that the hotel is not 5-star but more like 4-star. It is also NOT all-inclusive i the Caribbean sense....more like full-borad with some drinks thrown in.

The rooms are a reasonable size, with air-conditioning, bath & shower and kept very clean by the friendly staff. Both ours and the kiddies rooms had great views over the local bay/beach at Made though please be aware, this 30's Art Deco style hotel is built on a cliff and hence it can be a walk from your room to the main restaurant/pool area.

There is a bus and, for a small tip, the drivers are very accommodating.

Sure, the food can be very samey after 2 weeks but what can you expect ?? We did think it a scam that even on AI you had to pay extra for theme nights and hence were cautious. We did go to the Italian night (an extra 8 euros per person) and were pleasantly surprised to find a whole array of fresh, different food and a chef cooking home made pizzas in a gas kiln.

The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpul but if you have late night flight, would suggest that you arrange an extra night at the time of booking because, even though it is slightly cheaper to do it at the hotel, it can be fully booked and showering, changing etc can be a pain.

Book a trip to the Aquapark thru the hotel NOT your tour operator as it wil save you money....a good day but it can be hot and one of the kiddies had a dose of sunstroke.

If you do go out for the day, even to the "private" beach (be careful where you sit as it can cost you), make sure you arrange a lunch pack from the hotel (free on AI). Collect it at breakfast time, "nick" a load of cakes (you ARE entitled to them !!) wrap them in a napkin and put 'em in the bag. Similarly take large empty bottle(s) and fill with whatever you want to take. You gotta play the game !!

The guys in the main bar at night work very hard but two isn't enough and you can wait. If you make sure they see you tip them a couple times you do get preferential service and they do remember what you drink and lo! rum & cokes will appear in front of you without even asking !! Tequila shots are also free.....!!

Even with kiddies (8,11 & 14) we found the main pool noisy and crowded. We liked the smaller of the pools nearer the reception though you gotta get your towels down before 9am to be sure !

The animation team tried hard but the disco room lacks any sort of atmosphere and with kids of many nationalities I guess it's difficult to please all.

All in all we enjoyed our stay and although it is unlikely we'd return I think it is unfair to put that we wouldn't go back......I've been to far worse and as a last minute deal I think we got a fair deal.
