Our hotel, The Oceanis, was superb. All of the staff were wonderful and although the entertainment left a little to be desired we had a terrific holiday. So much so that we will be visiting again this year. Hats off to Spieros, Tel and Maria in the restaurant, their service was impeccable and the friendliness made you feel so very welcome. Go to this hotel if you can and book through Hellenic Voyages, great service, better price. Thanks to Manos from Hellenic for all his help. Just a little note, I left my bag in the room on our leaving day. The maid found it and it was posted to the UK intact. The honesty of the staff makes it an even better bet. We have recommended it to many friends who have visited and are booking again.

Booked late availability & stayed all inclusive. On arrival at hotel we were immediatley impressed with the reception & bar area which we later discovered had recently been refurbished (along with the restaurant and pool area). Hotel reception were friendly and sorted a (very slight) problem we had with room allocation.

Rooms were ok, not to the same standard as the refurbished areas but were spacious (for 2 people) very clean (maids cleaned daily) and had air conditioning (did hear that rooms are to be refurbished this year).

Hotel is in excellent location with a variety of bars & restaurants nearby. Rhodes Old town short taxi ride (6 euro's).

Food in restaurant was excellent with a good variety on offer daily.

Cleanliness of hotel was superb with rooms cleaned daily and maids constantly visable cleaning all public areas. Staff were excellent however the younger of the 2 barmen did tend to flap a bit when the bar got busy.
Only negative comments I can make do not relate to the hotel but some of the guests; The german guests tended to have a terrible habit of walking staright up to the bar and expecting to be served in front of everyone else.
The french seem to think that if a seat was empty they could take it without asking if it was being used, as happened to me a few times when I was at the bar (usually when I was telling the Germans I was before them!).

Prior to going we had seen reports for others that the hotel does not cater for children, well there were a number of children there including 2 of our own (aged 12 & 14) and they thoroughly enjoyed tehemselves.

Will certainly be returning and look forward to seeing the refurbished rooms.

I stayed at this hotel in June, I feel the same about it as all other reports on this site, it was a very nice stay apart from the Bar Staff who had to be the most rude, arrogant and ignorant people I have had the misfortune to meet, they totally ingored you if you was waiting to be served and made you feel so uncomfortable if you where all inclusive as was most of the guests. We spent every night out of our two week stay outside the hotel on an evening, mainly because of the attitude of the bar staff and lack of service.

Entertainment was availanle on an evening, although not to my taste or the majority of the guests

All other aspects of the hotel was fantastic and I would highly recommend this hotel.

As regular visitors to Rhodes we knew the Oceanis but had not stayed there. Our reaction to this was "wow" as a major re-vamp had occurred since 2004 and the brochure pictures, including an impressive new front facade and beautiful new reception/bar/lounge areas, all amply and attractively furnished and decorated. We were impressed.

Externally there is now a new random shaped main swimming pool, with bridge linked centre island and waterfall etc. and decked, paved or grassed surrounding lounging areas. There are plenty of shaded external seating areas with comfortable chairs, settees and sun beds.

Bedrooms remain as at 2004 but are spacious and well furnished with ample drawer and wardrobe storage, TV, mini fridge and well fitted en-suite bathroom. Linen and towels were changed frequently by the efficient daily cleaning staff. Our room had a balcony with sea views over the bay.

The re-vamped first floor dining-room also overlooks the sea, and a good choice of excellent food is served. Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive.

Evening entertainment was varied with singers, dancers and even a Tunisian fakir-but nothing too raucous or intrusive.
The hotel location is convenient being only a short bus or taxi ride from historic Rhodes Town and the busy port but with plenty of more immediate shops and activities available within a short stroll.

Whilst we booked half board we found we could change up to 'all inclusive' at reception if we so wished for a reasonable extra charge. We did, and appreciated having the choice without fuss.

In looking for something to be critical off we could only find that perhaps the bedroom serving corridors are a little spartan, but apparently these will be re-vamped for next year. We will be back!

This hotel is in a great location only ten minutes by bus to Rhodes Town which is a busier resort. The reception area is very spacious and airy with plenty seating accomadation.

The bedroom was large and very well furnished with T.V. and mini fridge. The room was cleaned and towels changed every day with sheets being changed twice weekly. The room we were in faced to the rear overlooking the hillside and the glass roof of the indoor pool, very quiet at nightime.

The restaurant was on the first floor overlooking the sea. The food was plentiful with a very good choice on the menu. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was very clean and tidy but you did have to pay for sunbeds.

Entertainment was low key suiting more mature couples such as us.
