Just got back fromBelverdere Htl, had a great stay staff are very friendly and helpful.
Rooms as stated before they are very clean but sadly in need of updating.
The furniture is aged the bathroom tiles are old and depressing, tv as CNN and eurosport only.
Pool area very nice never had to rush for a sun bed, there was 4 of us and we never went out before 10am for a bed.
Was our first time in Greece and we were told don't expect there 4 star to be like the one's in Spain.
This is very true more like a 2 star, very basic in all departments.
Food was ok but very limited, if you had bacon one day
it would be sausage the next never together.
same with egg fried one day scrambled the next.
Evening meals nice food shame about the choice around
3 to 4 hot meals plus veg, or salad never cooked meats
or fish etc. only one soup, never a chef cooking food
while you wait as in spain very basic but tasty!!
Spoke to a few people staying in the Grand hotel who said the food was awful, breakfast ok but evening meal rubbish!!
We will be returning next year but not to the Belverdere.

THE BUILDING IS OLD! AND SOME OF THE FITTINGS COULD DO WITH REPLACING BUT THE CLEANERS DID A GOOD JOB THE FOOD WAS GOOD WITH GREEK ALTERATIVES AVAILABLE MOST NIGHTS LOCATION WAS VERY GOOD FOR THE OLD TOWN ALTHOUGH YOU DID HAVE TO TAKE YOUR LIFE IN YOUR HANDS WALKING UP A NARROW ROAD WITH NO FOOTPATH OR STREET LIGHTS ENTERTAINMENT WAS VERY POOR SO WE WENT OUT EVERY NIGHT

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel on a half board basis.The staff were friendly at all times,especially in the dining room.
Our rooms were cleaned daily and although the fixtures and fittings in the bathroom are a little dated,the shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure.
The food is of reasonable quality and always had something for all our tastes.

We had no complaints at all about the hotel , our room was very spacious as we had 4 beds in there and still had plenty of room , the bathroom was a little bit small but for the amount of time you spend in there it was not a problem. We were on the 3rd floor looking out onto the small pool in the garden , there was a derelict building opposite but didn't spoil it for us.The dining room was well run and although the meals became a bit repetitive the second week there was always a good option and the foof marked so you knew what you were eating , the staff were wonderful in the dining room , as were the reception staff and also the bar staff, the head bar man Manelos is a bit of a character. We didn't stay in the hotel for any of the entertainment which was a greek night on a Friday they had Karaoke, Bingo and Dance night . Over all a great holiday would use the hotel again and recommend it to others

the hotel itself is not bad but not the best 4 star we have stopped in. if you are a couple with no children this hotel is ok unfortunately we have a 12 year old who was bored for 11 nights as there was no facilties for kids at all.the food at the hotel was ok and the hotel rooms were kept very clean all the staff are exellent. be warned this hotel is very popular with the germans and was full of them while we were there.this is why i would not visit this hotel again,yes it was the usual towels at dawn parade then turn up at 4pm to use sunbed they had reserved all day, people walkin around looking for sunbeds while sunbeds not been used with towels on them, digrace!hotel is in good postion though and close to new and old town vey good to walk round at night but not much enternainment in the bars, went to falarki waterpark and the beach both good days out be warned the falraki side of island is 5 degrees hotter than the west,it was near 40 degrees on the beach in falraki. all in all had a good holiday in rhodes would go again but not to this hotel also would go self catering as we found eating out fairly reasonable as we did this some nights for a change from the half board.weather very good as you would expect.
