we stayed in the half term week but quite quiet.when we arrived there was no room for us eventhough we had booked through a company.this seemed to happen to al the english guests.we were promised fruit, free wine and a free safety deposit box,we protested as being fuly inclusive we could have as much wine and fruit as we liked.we stayed at the lavita hotel the first night which was less than the 4 star petit palais and i really think the petit palais was less than 4 star.the food was terrible it was the same everyday with left overs from the day before.thank god for the pizzas.the bar man was rude to the women and served the men first which meant women waited ages to be served.the floor in the bedroom was not swept all week as i left a piece of paper on the floor beside the bed and it was there all week.wouldnt go back to the hotel as i have travelled alot and this definately was not 4 star, rude staff, bad repetitive food, smelly toilets in the foyer, rolls for the snacks really hard and difficult to chew.not recomended

The Hotel was in a good location to be used as a base to travel & see the sights as it is in Rhodes town close to the Harbour (boat trips) bus station & Taxi rank. Also within easy walking distance to the old town which is well worth a visit (esp in the evening)
Never been on AI before & not impressed, others told us that this was the worst AI they had ever been on.
Poor choice through the day i.e only snacks available where rolls with ham ,cheese & salad but as the morning progressed the sandwiches wilted as they are left out on a table adj to the bar other bits left in warming tins i.e sausage rolls & odd things got all
soft & look warm.Once these had gone or been cleared away ,nothing else on offer day evening or night.
Drinks only available from bar near reception,so had to carry outside& to pool area.No ice cream etc on offer.
Main meals poor,Breakfast was ok with good choice, but coffee / tea seved @ tabel & difficult to get attention of waiter to get 1st cup & worse for 2nds.This did tend to alter depending on the table location given.Service was very poor & unfriendly.
Lunch was a joke with little on offer poor qualtiy look warm & hard to select things that went together.
Dinner again lots on offer but found it hard to eat,did try but normally left the stuff got a clean plate & tried something else, when all falied had Pittza
which was good but fed up with it after the 1st 5 nights. Most food offered @ dinner was the same each night they just changed it a bit i.e lamb in orange sauce, chicken in orange sauce etc all you could taste was orange sauce,it didnt matter what was in it.
The bar in the evening was run by 1 man who i guess dint enjoy his job.If you had an AI wrist band on it was ok to make you wait,be rude & not wait until you had finished speaking before turning away.then getting annoyed that you wanted to finish giving him your order. He would not serve AI after 11.30pm
No entertainment Not a True 4*
Also worth saying that as they had overbooked we had to spend the 1st night in another hotel.Through the week met others that this happened to,it appears normal practice, with people having to stay elswhere until they have a room ready.

We took an All Inclusive deal. First impressions of the hotel were good with a very well presented lobby area with a nice entrance with two small water features. All looks very modern and clean and the check in was very efficient.

We were given a room on the first floor at the side which was disappointing as there was no view apart from the side of a shabby building although the room was good.

The first night (Wed) was karaoke and was very loud and disturbing. We asked to move and then got a room on the 4th floor at the front with good sea views and this was really nice. Modern rooms with balcony and TV but only one English channel (BBC World). Maid service was excellent.

Bar is ok but only one bottled beer - Lowenbrau but the cocktails are good. Snacks are a bit disappointing but the rolls were well made with egg cheese and meat in the same roll.

We felt that breakfast was good choice of continental with cheese, cold meats, croissants or English with eggs cooked to order and cereals or you could have fresh pancakes.

Lunch was ok salad and 2 cooked choices. Dinner we though was excellent with fresh pizza, salad, and some good main choices grilled meats and local dishes. I know some hotels with AI are much bigger on the spreads but all in all this was very adequate.

Entertainment is not great but we wanted a quiet time and we did enjoy the Greek dancing on the Saturday. Staff in the restaurant are a bit slow in the main - but having said that there were two very good waiters.

The manager that runs it needs to work on his humour as he comes across as rude at times. The Barman is great when you get to know him but he does upset some people who don

This is an honest review and does highlight the downside of things so please read this with an open mind!! This hotel is of a good standard in general but just a few things that need adjusting here and there and this could be one of the best hotels in Rhodes.

We arrived at 6am via taxi (15 euros) to check-in and was given a room on the 5th floor. It was clean and tidy, bathroom a bit small but on the plus side we had a sea view! We opted for 'all inclusive' during our stay here but realised after a while that this meant we were treated slightly differently to those that opted half board or BB. The restaurant staff were slow and rude most days and never listened properly to what you would ask for etc...after a while we got used to this style of service as it appeared to be the norm. In one incident, we did complain about certain members of staff, but then to our amazement they would be told off infront of everyone in the restaurant which was totally unprofessional. The food was of good quality in my opinion and the homemade pizza is first class. Breakfast abroad is never the same as at home but there were a variety of things to choose from. Fruit juices tasted more like watered down squash, never did quite figure that one out!

After mealtimes in the evening, everyone would relax at the bar which was run by Manwell, the one and only barman who reminded me of Omar Shariff!! First impressions go a long way as im sure you would agree and most people found him a bit rude but i realised intime that this was just his way and that he was a very nice man. The one thing that us 'all inclusive' guests noticed was that waiter service for drinks only applied if you were paying guests!! We had to go to the bar to get ours and when we did we got small glasses (ie, cocktails in small coke glasses)!! Word of warning, this hotel does not do DIET COKE - ridiculous i know but i got a feeling that after our thoughts on this to Management..things might change!

We didnt have a rep as we booked via the internet but we made good friends with the hotel rep called Nikki -she was a scouser and a really nice girl and helped us with any issues we had.

The entertainment is Karaoke Wednesday, Greek Dancing Saturday and if you were staying at the hotel in August then you got 2 weeks worth of Kevin & Perry impersonations everyday by myself and my cousin!!! We were called the entertainment by most that met us.

We made some great friends on this holiday and if it wasen't for them we wouldn't have had as much fun. It was like one big family so a big hello to the Boltons, the Readings and the Guilfords XxX

The hotel staff were excellent, always ready to help with local information, nothing was too much trouble. We went All Inclusive with a 7 year old who is extremely fussy about what he eats, to our amazement he ate everything in view. The food was buffet style and delicious, the food is local cuisine and international dishes. You could watch the chef's cooking the fresh food. The hotel was spotless not a speck of dirt anywhere, the maids were constantly cleaning around leaving the hotel and the grounds gleaming. We couldn't have wanted a better location, it was a steady stroll into the Old Town and the Shopping Centre, again excellent choice of shopping, everything you could ever want. The staff from the maids upwards were friendly and made us feel extremely welcome, always smiling and helpful.

It was that good my son cried on his last day and I've had to promise him that we will return.

The only down side of the holiday was we were only there for 7 days. Next time 14 days.

The hotel was small but clean.

The staff not to helpful, in fact quite rude. When we arrived in the early hours on the morning our room was not ready. We had to wait about an hour or so in the bar. We were given a room but were then again moved next morning. The rooms are standard and clean.

The food was very limited in selection and I think every fly in Greece lived in the restaurant, which was very off putting.

The table clothes were often very dirty as so was the cutlery. The snacks were a joke as so was the entertainment. Stayed on an AI deal.

In my view this is no way a 4 star hotel.
