My partner, our son and my partners two sisters and their husbands enjoyed a fortnight in the Demitris Studios during late June/early July. The studios were very basic but clean and pleasant and in a very picturesque setting. We did need to pay an extra 5 euros per day for air conditioning which we found necessary during our stay. It was very quiet apart from the cicadas and there was a very nice pool and sunbathing area with lots of novels to choose from. Our 15 year old son was with us but there wasn't a great deal for him to do apart from read books, swim, eat and sunbathe. (At least it kept him off the computer for a fortnight)The studios were a ten minute walk uphill from the bus stop on the main road. The bus service was frequent either way along the coast road to Skiathos Town or Koukonaris beach. There was a small supermarket and a couple of bars nearby which had quiz nights, BBQs and even a large TV so my partner and son could watch formula one and tennis etc. We thouroughly enjoyed our holiday but the island would not suit people with walking difficulties.

We have just returned from the Demetris Apartments. They were excellent, very clean, there was air conditioning which we didn't use as the evenings were cool enough. The location was up a track from the main road, bus stop 15 about a ten minute walk, not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties, but there was a supermarket which you passed on the way up which was very handy! The owner of the apartments was a very pleasant lady, she came and knocked on the door on our arrival to see if everything was ok. We would certainly visit these apartments again.

Rooms are basic, but very clean, staff very friendly, these appartments are a 10 minute walk off the main road, it is so quiet you take 2 or 3 days to get use to the quietness! the only thing you are woken up by are the cockrells! i would highly recomend these appartments, 28 years of traveling the greek islands, demetris comes up top of my list, skiathos is a lovely island, but not much to see or do, after all these years and 27 islands all i want to do is chill by the pool and eat beautiful greek food, louise, oxford, may 2008

Demitries are excellent apartments, set just up a narrow road. The small pool area is great and was fairly quiet as most people went off to the beach. Rooms are cleaned on a regular basis and the family ( mother and 2 daughters )who look after them are really frendly, as with most Greek places the apartments are basic but have everything you need ie a bed, bathroom and a fridge to chill your beer. We are planning to go back next year so that speaks for itself.

Demetris.
Lovely studios, great views,nice pool area, bar & supermarket just round the corner. Very quiet 10 mins from the road. Great bus service to the town, and the beaches on Skiathos are superb.
