Have just got back, as per the last review, the rooms have been refubished, which puts it much better than most greek accomadation. The holiday is in a quiet, handy location, the beach is 5 mins walk, sun beds etc 8 euro this year. the bus stop is 50 yards way by the frog bar and the supermarket. the bus to town is 1.40 euro.
staff at the hotel where nice and helpful and the breakast had evrything most people would want. the staff keep the breakfast spotless. harry looks after you in the bar. drinks are dearer there. most bars it was upto 3 euro for .5 ltr of mythos whereas in the hotel it was 3 euro for a small bottle..
we liked the place and would recommend to anyone

hotel just been modernised contempory fixtures and fittings splash room bathroom small rooms but very adequet in an ideal location very short walk to the beach pool and bar area lovely drinks at the hotel expensive but we didnt drink at the hotel that much breakfast good choice cereals eggs toast fruit rooms cleaned every day

We have been to the Astoria three times and are going again this year.
It is a small hotel,basic but very clean.Staff very friendly. Lovely gardens pool quite small but very nice.
Be entertained by Harry at his bar and be prepared for his evening fire show. Excellent location near the beach and bars and restaurants in Troulos.
Buses stop just across the road to take you to the many lovely beaches or into Skiathos town.
Beautiful island very tranquil not a place full of lager louts which is a refreshing change.
Go to the Astoria and enjoy YAMMAS!!

Returned to Troulos in 2005 for the third time. Originally visited Troulos as a group of 20 in 2002 when Mark and I got married. Only a few were resident at the Astoria in 2002, but Harry's bar was the place to be.
Have always stayed at the Astoria since.
Clean and basic.
Harry Bar is the main pull.
