Full of older people which in itself is not a problem, but is in nowhere near anything, so cost a fortune in taxis anywhere as the public transport is virtually non-existent.
Very disappointed overall with this booking. When I booked online I took the flight and hotel on offer. Stansted to Comiso then onto the hotel. It was only nearer the time of the holiday I thought i'd better check if we have transfers. To my horror, I realised the resort was 3 and half hour drive from the airport. I called Loveholidays to arrange a bus, but they could not offer one for the flight time (9pm arrival) so we had to book a taxi £200, one way!!! I advised this was a rip off as they should not be making this offer without making it clear that the connections are no good but they fobbed me off telling me it was up to me to check this. I then said we would maybe book a hire car. Did this paid for it and discovered this was not an option, as I did not have a credit card for the deposit (debit card not accepted). This just got better and better.
Finally arrived at resort in the early hours of the morning after 3 hour crazy taxi drive and find, hotel is running on half steam as out of season. food and drinks over priced. But if you go out that also costs a fortune as the public transport is next to none. Very little buses, albeit quite cheap.
I will never use Loveholidays again and will never go to Sicily again.
Complete wast of £3500.

Hotel tip: Really over priced and over rated. Well being and Spa is not that at all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone..
