The hotel was a small family run hotel on the main beach road in the Lido. It was extermely clean and the rooms were large and bathroom excellent. There was a bit of noise at night because of the road but this quietened down later on and sleeping was OK. The room had air conditioning but it was not switched on but was not a problem due to the time of year.
Breakfasts were typically continental buffet style but perfectly adequate, not good if you want a fry up every day!
The beach was 30 seconds walk and although the sand was of the grey dusty variety it was somewhere to sleep off the efforts of the day in the late afternoon whilst topping up the tan.
The hotel was 5 minutes on the bus from the centre of the Lido or 20 minutes or so walk where there were numerous shops, bars and restaurants if you did not want to get the boat to Venice. There was an excellent beach restaurant opposite very cheap that sold excellent pizzas (the best we had all week). Travelling to Venice island was a doddle as the buses were frequent and the vaporetos every ten minutes (twenty at night and all through the night). generally it was 30-40 minutes from the hotel to St Marks square.
