Stayed at Bugibba Holiday Complex which is located on a busy street and short walk from all resort bars, shops and restaurants. Clean and spacious room with air con, friendly staff. Tried the hotel restaurant a couple of days and found it was ok, but prefer to try different places. The hotel puts on a variety of entertainment. A big plus for this hotel is 2 outdoor and a heated indoor swim pool.

The hotel was very clean and in a good location about a 5 min walk to the beach and bugibba square. The mini market was really good it had everything on from drinks to beach toys.

The indoor pool was a bit poor only went in there once was a bit dirty and run down but the outdoor pools were great.

The staff were very friendy. We got a bottle of maltese wine on arival and another as a complment for staying with them.

The hotel was took over by students half was through the holiday, they took over the pool and was a bit loud but bareable lol.

The entertainment was a bit poor, the people couldnt sing at all, one attempted mama mia but sounded horrible lol. but funny to watch.

The maid cleaned our room evry day with fresh towels ect.

This was our second stay at this hotel, although it was early morning and the staff on reception were very pleasant.

The room that we were given was clean and spacious-beds were comfortable.

My wife and I found the food very good and the choice changed every day, we were contacted by reception several times to make sure that everything was OK.

The staff were very pleasant through out are stay and we have no complaints.

By the way this was our second stay at the BHC and will be booking there again asap, thanks to the Maltese people.

If you enjoy sleeping in public toilets, then this place is for you. I would not say this was a 3* hotel, infact I would have felt guilty leaving a dog here.

Unfortunately I booked this without reading reviews on it. I said to my wife that I will cancel, but she managed to talk me out of it (typical woman). I should have made her pay for the next hotel we was to move to (hahaha).

We got there at 5am in the morning to discover this place. We got 4 hours sleep, then went out looking for another hotel. After finding one, we went back to the hotel to check out. The desk staff said is it the weather that you are checking out so early, I said 'no, its the hotel'. At this they took my key and did not even offer me another room or anything.

Please dont judge Malta by this review, as it is a gorgeous island with lovely people.

Please read reviews on any hotel before going, save yourself money.

We stayed at The Buccaneers Guest House in Bugibba run by the Gove family.

The food is first class and the rooms although basic, are very clean with fresh towels and linen daily.

The family make you very welcome which creates a very relaxed atmosphere.

Upon arrival we were greeted by pleasant reception staff.
(No funny smells, as reported by others in the reception area).

Our room was on the 4th floor looking over the large pool, this was very nice as we have never had a pool view before.

The air con was working ok and there was also a wall mounted fan for extra comfort. The beds were comfortable and the room was tastefully decorated. There was even a hair dryer.

The room was made up every day (very clean) and towels were changed as required.

The food at the main restaurant was great, a good selection and different every night. The breakfasts were great too, full English to Continental. There was also a great choice of wine, beer, soft drinks available with the evening meal.

There is also a smaller restaurant by the 2 small pools, here you will find a fantastic menu that includes pizza's. A big hit with the kids and grown up's too.
The evening entertainment was pretty good. A real must see is "Martin Elvis" (on Wednesdays) and "The Young Talent Team" (on Fridays).

There is a pool side Bar and also by reception there is "Jacks Bar" both very good with a wide selection for All Inclusive guests.

In reception there are computers for Internet access.

The Hotel was very clean. Behind the toilet door's were lists of when they were cleaned last and inspected.
The Hotel is about a five minute walk to the sea and about a five minute walk to the bus station, from here you can travel around the whole Island for just a few Cents.
In general this is a good Hotel which is worthy of its 3 star rating.

We had an enjoyable 2 weeks All Inclusive stay here and would return for another holiday.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel after reading some of the reviews. After a bad check in, we were told our rooms were not ready which didnt help as we had already been delayed three hours, things did improve.

We were allocated rooms on the fourth floor which were clean had air condtioning a hairdryer and a fan all of which worked. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied and the cleaning staff were very polite.

We couldnt fault the meals at all there was a Buffet Style Restaurant and you could eat as much as you wanted. Our daughter didnt like some of the the meals in the main restaurant so we were able to take her to the other restaurant which served pizzas, chicken nuggets, burgers etc which went down well with all the children in our party.

Rooms not ready although booked in January.

Treated with contempt by reception staff.Given two filthy self catering rooms 4 hours after we arrived in spite of telling them my son was disabled. Complained and were given 2 rooms the next day at 2.30pm no apology from any staff.

Noisy students running around all night till 4.30 in the morning banging doors and shouting no one did anything about it. The place is not fit to be three star. The pool area was always full in spite of a notice saying do not reserve the loungers.

The reception staff were the rudest people I have ever met but most other staff were very nice especially the pool guy Joe.We would never stay there again or advise anyone else to. There was always someone complaining at reception,.

I would still return to Malta but no to the Bugibba Holiday Complex!!!!!

I really enjoyed this holiday and so did the friend I went with the staff where friendly and so where the people there.

Our room was on the seventh floor with air conditioning and a fan! The room was also tidy and cleaners came every/every two days. The pools where also very clean and fun to play in exept for the inside one but the two outside ones where very nice!

The reception was beutiful aswell where there was computer and internet acsess and the mini marts where cheap and very cheerful.

The only bad thing I have to say about our accomodation was the balcony it was quite loose and looked like it was going to fall but it was fine as long as you didnt leen on it.

Hotel is in dire need of an upgrade.

Our room was very basic & bathroom had quite a few faults. We did request a move & were put in one of their "superior rooms" which was the standard of room that I would have expected in the first instance.

Incidently these rooms are avail at a supplement. However I would expect this standard as an entitlement rather than having to pay for the privelege! Food was actually very good. Good choice for Breakfast and dinner always consisted of 1 fish dish and 2 meat dishes. Desserts were lovely!

Staff were quite arrogant especially pool guy!! Entertainment rubbish. Thie hotel is extremely basic and we felt that the brochure desription should reflect this and that prices charged for this hotel should also reflect exactly what you get.

Poor value for money overall.
