sliema is a good place to stay as it is on a regular bus route and has easy access to every part of malta. a short stroll takes you to the grand harbour which is an amazing sight at night. we made the mistake of booking expensive trips when we could have taken very cheap bus rides to the same places and had as long as we liked there. some trips only lasted three hours which was not long enough. we will probably return to malta in the future, and, because of the location, stay at the preluna.

The resort it self was outstanding with spectacular views over to Valletta, without a doubt you could not falt it in any way.It was absolutly breathtaking.

The long streach of prom along the side of harbour was a lovely walk.

The shops were good with Next, M&S, BHS and all the local sovernior shops also there were lots of restaurants and cafes to have snacks.

The bus service was excellant and so reasonable to use and they run very frequently.

The hotel is situatied in an excellent position, the sea is 25 mtrs away.
The rocky beach is excellent for swimming and the sea front walks in either direction are excellent.
There are ample excellent resteraunts with in walking distance (towards Paceville).

filthy dog muck everywhere no effort to remedy the situation that was seen by us.
likre the hotel no entertainment whatsoever rather pricey any way though the buses are frequent and quite cheap
i feal we paid to go on holiday to somthing similat to a war zone everyone is geared to fleece the tourist as youll find out you cant even take a quite stroll on the harbour front with out being bombarded with trips the simply dont leave you alone i might add guess what the hotel ownes the trip boats.
some governing body on the island needs to put a halt to this or there will be no holiday trippers to malta.
makes my bllod boil everytime i think about it!
even the daily local papers have daily reports about holiday makers being skinned in malta they call it.

you have bin warned.

During our stay there was a public holiday on the Saturday and the shops do not open Sunday. We found that there was little to do in the resort other than watch power boats.

Buses were plentiful and easy cheap transport to get about.Plenty of boat trips around the harbour.

Some interesting buildings and history , shame about the tower cranes every where

Resort reviews have previously mentioned dirty with dog mess everywhere. We found no evidence of this! The whole resort of Slima was spotless and I certainly witnessed two young men at 6:30 am going along the promenade picking up the odd pieces of litter. The only signs of grafiit we spotted were from Man U and W.Ham football "supportes" who seemed to enjoy scrawling upon the beautiful limestone walls.

Would stay here again. we preffered this side of sliemma for the views, but the other side was very nice and probably had more entertainment to offer. It is a brilliant base with easy access to valetta via the ferry on the front of the harbour which only cost about 30p. Local buses stopped just outside the hotel which enabled you to travel anywhere on the island.
Brilliant holiday, weather was perfect would go again next year.
