This holiday was booked off the net and we eventually discovered that our tour operator was Cosmos! Anyway the hotel, what can I say other than it is a dump. What you see in brochures and on the net pages does in no way show a true picture of this hotel. The complex is hige, split into two, lucky for us that we had the good side. I can't comment on the Tamlet as we didn't saty there, just wandered through so it would be unfair to discuss it, however it did look a bit rough.
Yes the hotel staff are friendly but as I was to discover it's all to do with how much you can tip, if you do your service at this place will increase 10 fold. If you do not, you get the normal treatment which at best is ok. An example is that we wanted extra pillows, this the maid did, we thought we'd try this tipping buisness out. Let me tell you before and after tipping the difference was astounding. The maid even arranged my son's pygamas in a fan shape and even turned the beds down. We told a few people this and because they hadn't tipped, there room was only given lip service at best.
The complex has four pools. There is no childs pool with a nice coloured back drop as seen in some brochures. Sadly it is true, if you want a sunbed the cut off point is around 07.30 for the side pools, but for the main "Butlins style" pool the time is 06.15. The main pool seemed to attract a certain type of holiday maker, each to there own, if your happy to clear the pool when water polo or surf board race is on! Personally we went to the pool with the four pillars, quiet, with a bar(non-alchaholic). Again 07.00 for sunbeds. Ashamedly I did partake in this morning ritual, for research purposes I waited around the main pool to see the shinanigans with towels. Some just came down and removed towlels and replaced with there own, fun and games.
Food, everybody has different tastes and standards, I will eat mostly anything, however I did struggle with the main Oasis "canteen". Again tipped the waiter 100drs(

Caribbean Hotel Agador, what a disappointment, we paid alot of money and looked forward to this holiday all year.

First impression felt like going home but the place grew on you. It was basic but clean after a fashion our toilet kept blocking and the out of the 8 lights on the landing only one worked and that was hanging out wires exposed not good with kids!

No air con although it was advertised. Was warned by the rep may get a bad tummy this was very true steve was bad in bed for 24 hours with a type of food poisoning I had it for the last 6 days had to get anti-biotics as advised by the rep and now home im still bad.

It was all inclusive but the food was so bad we had to eat out costing more money! It was located well but you were hasseled eveytime you went out.

Disappointed in the hotel part of the beach but futher down it was nice.entertainement ok but was to ill to see most of it friday night was great though.

We won't be going back again and I wouldn't recommend it either I wish I changed my booking when I read the other reviews about the place they the only good thing was the weather.

Had a fantastic holday. The room we stayed in was basic and clean, all you do is sleep there and get showered and ready for the fun night ahead. The animation team were fantastic, on the go day and night. The bar staff were brilliant, they really looked after us. Please and thankyou go a long way to these people who work long hours. A special thankyou to 'Arofat' chief barman made our holiday. The people who work on this complex are so so friendly always saying hi and smilng. The 4x4 trip a must fantastic. Just need to be wary of the shop sales people. Met a fantastic family from Liverpool and will keep in touch with them. The food is what I would have exspected when you go to a dfferant country dont expect english food,be adventuros and try something different. Our famliy are very very fussy eaters but always found somthing to eat. No one came down with a funny stomach. Some people complain about anything and everything.Would I go back ? Id be back next week in a flash.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with lots of smiles and free drinks in the lobby bar where we sat and filled in a registration card, by the time we got to reception there were only a few people in front of us. Check in was very quick and the porter took our luggage and showed us to our room.
The room was spotless but it didn't take us long to settle in and make it look like a bomb had hit it.
The maid came every day, it was so nice to come back from the pool to a clean tidy room.

We changed and went down for dinner and was greeted by the waiter who showed us to a table and then went and got us some drinks. He was very polite and helpful, he showed us around the buffet style area and left us to it.
The food was amazing, so much choice even if you are a picky eater.
He was there all week and it was nice to be greeted by the same waiter every mealtime.

After dinner we went to the pool where there was entertainment by the Animation guys. Traditional Berber dancing and a snake charmer.

On the Saturday we took a guided tour around Agadir. The Souk was quite scary but don't be put off it's excellent if you like a good haggle.
There are plenty of organised trips to go on and I recommend the 4x4 excursion.

If you fancy something a bit different to the buffet food then there are several themed restaurants on site which you have to reserve but it's well worth it the Moroccan resturant was excellent. Try the tea. Yum!

I must admit that we took full advantage of the all inclusive bars quite a bit but by the second round the barstaff knew our usual tipple and started pouring before we got to the bar.

We went to both of the onsite clubs during our stay and found that we preferred Solambo to the Techno bar but don't be put off they are both worth a try. These bars are not included in the price so take some cash.

All the hotel staff were polite and learnt our names very quickly which made us feel very settled. Even when walking anywhere on site if we passed a member of staff they would say hello and ask how we were.

The entertainment was excellent too. The Animation team do an amazing job organising sports tournaments and dancing with everyone.
They run a kids club and play games around the pool, theres "aqua gymnastics" and water volley ball and the whole team gets up at regular intervals to do dance routines, every one stops what they are doing and joins in.

There is a show everynight in the Amphitheatre at 9.30. we missed a few but the Transvestite show on the Wednesday night was well worth time away from the bar. I haven't laughed so much in ages.

The Animation team definateley made our holiday special.

I wonder if the bad reviews on this page were about the same hotel because I cannot think of any faults or complaints about our holiday.

We were both very sad to leave and completely agree that one week is not enough. hopefully we'll go back later in the year.

We booked hotel to try and meet needs of all the family. rooms were clean, hotel was busy and often found all longers were taken after 8 am. food was ok but canteens were busy and staff at times were slow to get you a table. particularly if you arrived towards the end of the sitting. excursions were good went on nearly all to get out of the hotel. Enjoyed going out and about in Agadir lovely places to eat and most people friendly.

entertainment was ok if you have small children.

wouldnt go back again, too busy and at times

The hotel was fab, food delicious, entertainment well done and not in your face.

Please do not be put off by the remarks below, not sure where these people actually went. The staff could not do enough for us. Yes you can tip the pool man and yes he'll get you a decent sun bed. But 10 dirhams is nothing and to him it's a lot.

The waiters took care of us greeting us every night and asking how our day had been, the omelette man was fantastic.

We changed rooms when we arrived because we weren't happy with our view and this was no problem.

I would say that visitors should go out of the hotel there is so much to see and the beaches are beautiful, we did some trips and visited Marrachesh - not to be missed.

I would definately go back to this hotel and I can't praise it highly enough.

The Caribbean Village ticked most of my boxes as a clean, cheap winter break within 3 hours flight and temperatures of about 26-30c in march. I enjoyed my stay. I might go back if the price is right.

There is refurbishment work at the hotel currently. This in no way affected my stay.

The hotel is a few minutes from shops and bars and about 15mins walk to main resort centre.

Though this hotel is only a three star, the all inclusive here, seems to be among the best I have used. There are six speciality restaurants. You could if you wish, have quality dining for most of your stay. The main restaurant though, has so much variety and the buffet was superb. The queue for drinks was minimal during the day or night.

We found every where to be clean and well kept. The food was cosmopolitan and varied during my stay. We always found some thing to eat. There is a microwave in the restaurant. If you do wish to heat your food up you are welcome. I had to use it, as I like my food very hot.

The hotel staff were always helpful and smiling especially if you tipped them in advance. The day time entertainment is focused on one of four pools. You had other quiet pools to disappear to if you are not sport or noise minded. I won the lazy tourist award during my stay.

The evening entertainment starts with kids stuff followed by performance in the stage like amphitheatre. Do not expect to find a sun bed after 8am. The towel rush starts about 7am.

This hotel is excellent.. im not sure if the reviews below actually stayed at the same hotel as me!

Greeted straight away at the hotel by porters awaiting to take your luggage to the room..

Quick check in service.. shown to your room...

Rooms were basic such as three beds, 2 chairs and table, TV with many English channels, BBC1, BBC2, ITV channel 4 and many more.. Shower room all prestine clean ... toliet rooms and a decent size balcony.

It's very nicely set out as actually villages (blocks)
Small shops around each block so you can buy if you wish... you dont get any hassels from these people... theyre always smiling and greet you with a hello... have a nice day!

Food- there was always a good choice of foods, deserts, drinks available to you...

Waiter service is excellent couldnt fault them in any way at all... table always dressed and ready most of the time..
Pool Area- we were always around the main pool with music playing and entertainers galour!

The animation team are brilliant at what they do.. very funny.. helpful and kept me laughing all holiday... we joined in a few of the main games at 12noon and my partner 'Mr Ben' as they called him always won... 'Boring!' hehe Everyone knows your name which is a nice personal touch to have.. shows the goog customer service they have!
Entertainment- theres always something for everyone to enjoy... or you can just laze around the pool alday if you wish... do not let the below reviews but you off!!

I am the most fussiest person when its comes to hygiene and food and I had no problems what so ever!

Building work is only operating on the beach as theres a new prom being built... didnt see or hear any building work at this hotel...

I would go back tomorrow!!

Our second time back to this hotel.

Again a fabulous week of eating and drinking Who could ask for more.

We met a great gang (Row, Sarah and Lizzie if your reading this) which made the holiday even more special.

Only problem was that the main disco was shut for refurbishment and the smaller disco the back of the hotel was a bit too small (Main disco was reopening on the night we flew home though).

Really good and will be going back on 23rd March next year.

Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone (you just have to remember that it is North Africa and that they are not as well developed in the All Inclusive section as some other destinations)

Staff great (a few even remembered us from last year).
