We have stayed here for many years and although the food has never been great there has always been something for you to eat, however this year the food was disgusting, I don't know if its because they have installed new showers and re-tiled the floors that they are maybe cutting down on the quality of the food. and its for this reason I would hesitate at returning, which is a pity because it is well situated, clean and the staff are very nice. I think its about time they overhauled their menu, including the breakfast.

I found the mar y huerta to be an excellent hotel despite it being labelled as basic.
I found it to be clean and comfortable although quite small, with maids coming 3 times a week and the ceiling fan in the room was a big help during the day and night to cool down. The pool area was great with plenty of loungers available and a snack bar for lunches in the hotel.
The location is excellent with the beach just across the road and a shop on your doorstep for essentials like bottled water. There is also a doctors surgery and pharmacy directly outside the hotel.
I always found the staff to be helpful and friendly from the receptionist to the bar staff. The bar is a nice comfortable area to relax and have a few drinks in and reasonably priced.
I found the hotel food to be quite good, despite me being a very fussy veggie!! Although the veggie choices were quite limited, there was always plenty of salad, chips, potatoes,rice and vegetables. Breakfast could have been a bit more exciting, but there was bread rolls,bread for toast, croisssants, ham, cheese and jam.
I would probably visit this hotel as it was clean,comfortable and in an ideal location.

As there are no lifts in this accomodation, some elderly and less able bodied people found it hard to climb the 3 stories of steps.If you think you may have a problem with the stairs though, you can REQUEST a 1st floor room when you book, although this won't be guaranteed. Rooms have just been re-decorated, with new en suite toilet and shower room for MOST rooms. Shower cubicles are quite small and any larger people may have difficulty in getting in and out of it.
This hostel is situated 20 yards away from the beach. The staff are mainly very polite and although the 2 daytime waitresses are of eastern european origin, they are very good with basic English and work very hard.
1 piece of advice is this, the hostal is situated directly on a road, 2 of the exits having no pavement, and although is not a particularly busy road, care should be taken with small children.

have stayed here twice and we are booked to go again this year. hotel is in excellent position is very clean and staff are very friendly. pool area is excellent with free sun loungers. food we found that although not a lot of choice is very well cooked and there is always plenty of it.

Small hotel right in the heart of Es Cana. A 2 min walk to the beach.
The food is all cooked well and served hot, a good salad bar,chips, potatoes and veg with fish, meat,pasta.
Plenty of choice each day. Each morning a Menu is put up in reception.Breakfast is good, continentant but all fresh. We loved how you could sit outside to have your meals.
Towels are changed 3 times a week and sheets once. Maid service each day. The hotel is kept very clean the staff all work hard to keep everything shipshape.
The staff are all friendly, this hotel has a personal feel to it.Excellent value for money. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to visit again in the very near future.

Staff very friendly and helpful but unfortunately overlapped our booking so our first night was spent down another street in an awful apartment and I booked six months in advance on internet. they said only take bookings two weeks in advance!
Next day we waited til midday to get into our rooms we should have been in the previous morning! Rooms basic but clean with ceiling fans which really helped at night. No mozzies or flies whatsoever.
Once in we realised we were so close to all amenities which was so handy with a family of six. Food was okay but children not keen. Pool lovely and clean with free sunbeds. Adventure playground next to pool area. Background music excellent and games of pool in bar terrace kept kids occupied.
Night entertainment was not at this hotel but just a few steps from the hotel to Charlies Bar is where all the family can enjoy live entertainment and after 11pm the dance music starts for a good night our for the teenagers.

We arrived at the hotel at about 11.00am. but the room was ready for us which was good news after a early flight.
The room was small and basic but clean. Ceiling fan was a bonus this kept our son aged 7 cool at night.
The food was very nice plenty of choice our son loved serving himself.
The location was spot on near the beach, shops,and bars.
The staff was very helpful & friendly also hard working.
There was no entertainment at the hotel but it was nice to go back for a quiet drink after some of the livelier bars. There's something for everybody in Es Cana. I would definitely go back to the resort and the Mar y Huerta again.

The room was small ...no air con and the bathroom /shower room was realy stuffy and musty with NO airvents or window which made it very overpowering and unhygenic.
The breakfast was very basic and the evening meal was unedable so we did not bother for the rest of our stay.
Staff workers were fine but hotel manager was very rude and unhelpful... no entertainment so this category scores a big 0.
Will not return to this hotel but will return to IBIZA...

We arrived at the Mar Y Huerta in the afternoon, went to our room and found it clean and that we had a lovely view of the beach.
The air conditioning wasn't very good and quite frustrating as it was really hot at night.
The bathroom was very basic, with no window and found it got a little smelly sometimes with there only being one small air vent and think it might be because of Spain's sewage system.
Overall,clean and basic.
The food at the Mar Y Huerta wasn't too bad with a good selection of foods and something for everyone.The hotel is literally metres from the beach front which was great,and really handy.
Found the staff pleasant and helpful.
There is a bar at night in the hotel which has music channels on the television,and they do great cocktails.
I will be travelling to Ibiza again next year and probably stay at the Mar Y Huerta again in a few years.

We had a fantastic holiday, 1st time at hotel but will definitely go again.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Hotel in brilliant location for all amenities.
The food was the best we have had abroad with good selection for all tastes and cooked to perfection!
Only complaint was lack of air conditioning as it was very warm at night and the ceiling fan wasn
