Been to the Don Toni Hotel for three years running and it has always been a fantastic holiday. Food, rooms, staff and entertainment are all first class. The proximity to the beach is a major factor, no roads to cross so very safe.
However, other tour operators from other countries are plugging this hotel as a gay resort. I found the activities of some gay men around the Superfamily Pool a bit too unacceptable. When I mentioned this to the Thompson Rep I was told I was Homophobic and they were not responsible for what clientel the hotel chooses to let their rooms to!!! I am not Homophobic, I just don't want my 4 year old asking questions I would rather not answer just yet, and also being a Superfamily Hotel I just didn't expect this.
Each to their own, but I won't return.

When we actually arrived at the hotel, we were a little disappointed. I don't think it has updated since the 70's.
Our room wasn't much better, very basic no air-conditioning only a ceiling fan which in the height of the season doesn't help much.
The dinning room of the Don Toni didn't impress us much either. To get to the pool you need to go out of the main entrance and walk around the back!
It wasn't until we looked around the hotel and found the Club Don Toni that our holiday started to look up! We started using the main restaurant by the pool which is much better then the hotel restaurant, and the Club Don Toni's pool is wonderful compared to the hotel's pool (you are not allowed any sunbeds around it).
Once we had found the Club our holiday was fantastic, the only thing we used the hotel for was to sleep!
The entertainment was the best we had seen on any of the holidays we have been on, the entertainment team worked really hard, we stayed at the complex almost every night as there was always something worth seeing such as a performance of Starlight Express or The Lion King.

absolutely fantastic, the thompson reps were amazing especially the childrens reps, who kept my daughter entertained all day, she cried when we came home.
brilliant pools great location definately going back the self service restaurant had a very good choice every meal time, a seperate buffet was available for my daughter.

Hotel was excellent, staff were friendly and rooms were cleaned every day. Located alongside the beach which was mostly clean (except for when a load of seaweed washed up on the tide). Entertainment was fun. Food was delicious. An all-round good place to stay.

This hotel is quite basic but has everything you need.
The maids were lovely even taught my daughter who was 2 at the time some Spanish.
Hotel was lovely and clean, your terrace was hosed every morning.
Great choice of food.
Entertainment was excellent for children and adults.

The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were excellent.
The choice of food was great for both kids and adults. The entertainment was brilliant - top class and was held outside by the pools.
There is something to do for everyone during the day and nightime. The beach is on your doorstep too.

The hotel offers alot for families, with entertainment all day up to twelve pm.The kids clubs are absolutely brilliant.We have been 4 times now and still love it.Never the same year after year.Bit aircraft noise but you dont notice after a day you have been there.Beach nearby and staff are excellent.Rooms cleaned every day.An all round good holiday.....

we stayed here in June 03, we had a great time, the food was good, did repeat its self in the 2nd week but good choice.
The entertainment was a joint team effort from thomsons and fiesta and they did put on some excellent evening shows - lots of musicals reinacted although miming very good costunmes and effects.
Lots of daytime entertainment if you want it -
The beach is a stroll past the pool - best of both worlds
both my kids aged 3 and 6 loved the kids club , and they also found the play area a fun place.
We have now stayed in the Club don ton on 2 occasions and will definately go back again

My stay in the Don Toni was exellent, as a family we have stayed in every hotel on the Playa D'en Bossa strip and been satisfied every time. The food at the Don Toni is incredible, it is repeated but that is to aid the new arrivals.
The hotel location could not be better, 4 minutes from the airport, and 30ft from the beach.
The staff are incredibly friendly and put on great shows, my eldest was 13 when we went and there were no tennage activities, he asked one of the fiesta reps if he could do anything and they started a teenage program that week.
