The apartments were very clean, well kept and large. Air-con would have been nice, but the fans did their job adequately. The apartment facilities were very good for a family. Lots of traffic noise at night if you had the door open for air, but not offensive. The pool area was very good for the children only drawback was we had to walk all the way round and via a road to get there as our apartment was right around the back.
Staff were pleasant, food and drink at the pool bar was great. The entertainment every night was very good - especially the comedian and the fire eater.
The location wasn't the best, but it only took 10-15 minutes along the main road or through the passages in the residantial area. The bus stop was directly across the road from the apartments and run every 30 minutes - but were usually late. I wouldn't visit again but not because of the apartments - just where they were.

Hiya my names Katy and I have been here twice now and I am going later this year as I found everything about the stay spectacular.

I made so many friends and was able to have so much fun with the facilities provided at both day and night.

Staff: staff were fab , especially Alan the funniest man ever who made everyone feel so welcome :) jonny and victor who where always a laugh and fun too :D

The apartments were kept nice and spacious and plenty of room for a full family, nicely furnished and a balcony with table and chairs.

I can't wait to go again this year and see what else they have to offer :)

After researching our holiday and reading all the glowing reviews about these apartments we did not hesitate to book. However, we were bitterly disappointed.

Our review is a true and totally honest account of our week long stay, and we feel we just had to put across our experience after reading such bizarrely outstanding reports of this accommodation. Read this first before you book!!

We arrived at the C'an Sanso apartments after a long and tiring journey, all we wanted to do was get into our apartment and settle into our holiday. However, despite arriving at lunchtime and the fact that this is a small complex, we were told our apartment had not yet been cleaned and therefore would not be ready for at least 20 minutes. (What were all 4 cleaners doing all morning I ask myself?) This was the same for a few other families although they had to wait for over an hour.

When we were eventually shown to our room we were met with disappointment. Despite booking this holiday well in advance and specifically asking to be placed in a room away from the road, and with a pool view, we found ourselves with a lovely view of an extremely busy....(you guessed it)...main road, and no pool view!

Although the brochure does warn of "some traffic noise" it is in fact, like sitting next to a dual carriageway. This did not make lying out on our balcony very appealing. However, surprisingly the noise didn't disturb us very much at night even though we are usually used to no noise at all at home.

The apartment itself wasn't bad, very spacious although a little dark, but well equipped. Our twin bedroom (no double?! we are married!) was ok although the mattresses on our beds were as hard as a brick! I've never seen anything like it, it was like lying on a slab of concrete all week! So uncomfortable.

The apartment was very clean, although surprisingly I was hit with a chronic sneezing allergy (presumably dust?) all week which only affected me whilst we were in our apartment. The cleaners came every other day to mop round and change towels although our bed linen did not get changed once all week.

Outside, the complex has a small but nice pool which didn't seem to get very busy (although it was the end of September), a crazy golf, some pool tables, swings and slide for the little ones, a small supermarket and a bar that served food all day.

We ate dinner in the bar a few times and found the food to be very basic and school dinner-like, lots of chips with everything! Very mediocre but quite cheap.

There was entertainment such as karaoke and a magician a few nights in the week that went on until about midnight, but didn't disturb us too much if we wanted an early night.

Despite glowing praise for the staff at the complex, we found them to be quite miserable and rude! We had even thought we had done something to offend them as we were so shocked by their abruptness! Perhaps as it was nearing the end of the season they had, had enough. Who knows? In fact this experience seemed to carry through to the majority of other staff we came across in restaurants and shops.

Everyone seemed rather fed up and disinterested, this surprised us as we normally find the Spanish people very friendly and accommodating on previous holidays we've had.

The worst aspect, however, of these apartments we have saved until last and that is - location. This is probably one of the worst located holiday accommodations we have ever had the disadvantage to experience. Although the brochure and indeed many holiday reviews will state that the walk into the main resort centre along the busy main road is only 10-15 minutes, we can tell you that it is not! Unless you are Linford Christie, the walk is more accurately like 25-30 minutes, and that is not strolling! The walk along the road is horrific and dangerous with cars travelling as fast as they wish to. On your way along the road into town you will see some lovely views of waste ground, building work, graffiti and run down residential homes, not forgetting to dodge the dog poo along the pavement. You will eventually arrive into the resort centre tired, fed-up and in need of a rest. Of course, don't forget that once you are there you will then have to make the long walk back again all the way to the C'an Sanso.

Although the road is quite well lit at night, it is still a little intimidating with a few youths hanging around ominously. This is why we ended up eating dinner most nights in the downstairs bar. There is a nearby restaurant called 'The Lighthouse' which we had pondered about going into but didn't venture in as it was always empty (not a good sign). 'Mangos' beach bar is near and ok for snacks but not sure about dinner. These are the only 2 places nearby to eat, otherwise its the long trek into town. There is a bus stop near that runs regularly into the centre if you can be bothered to wait for it.

The beach called 'Bora-Bora' is also supposedly only 10 minutes walk left from the apartments but truthfully its another long trek so we didn't bother to go. Apparently you can cut through 'Mangos' bar but its a long rocking way round so you couldn't do it in flip-flops.

Overall these apartments did not live up to our expectations and did not match the glowing reviews at all. We would not recommend them and will not be returning in the future!

My mum and myself 62 and 37 arrived back from Can Sanso yesterday and can honestly say it was the best holiday we have ever had.

Around the spanish area we have been to Tenerife, Algarve, Portugal, Gran Canaria and Ibiza but, this was so far the best.

The whole of the appartments were spotlessly clean. We had to laugh when we saw a leaf on the steps.

Yes you can hear traffic noise during the day but, at night it quietens down a lot (it does state traffic noise in the brochure).

We found the staff lovely and friendly. Emma even invited us out to a lively bar called Mirage which had live entertainment every night, we then followed her to a salsa dancing bar called "Eu Cariba" but, after getting home at 6.30am we had to delete that day. Anadin and rennies helped us recover! She was also fab with the children that were staying there. Alun was also a great laugh.

There is a bus stop outside which comes every 30 mins but, we decided to walk and we were suprised that it only took us 10 mins to the start of town and 15 mins to the lovely beach and relaxing harbour.

Most of the dogs we saw were on leads we saw two off leads but, later discoverd that they belonged to the bar next to Mirage. We only saw 2 lots of dog mess all week but, come on you get that in every country.

We went self catering but,had eggs on toast one morning, gorgeous eggs. One evening I had prawn cocktail (really juicy) mum had t bone steak which was the size of her plate and really tasty (I nicked a bit) if you are after exotic food then use some of the town restaurants.

Mangos beach bar across the road was so peaceful and calm, we didnt see any children there.

Great shops in town too. Definatly booking again for the end of next September.

We arrived at the Can Sanso after a very early start from the UK. We were let into our 2 bedroom ground floor apartment with a massive terrace overlooking the pool straight away. My parents came with us however and although they love the grandchildren dearly opted for a separate apartment which was not ready on arrival. They had a half hour wait but this wasn't too bad as they used our bigger apartment as a base.

The apartments were very clean and spacious and very well kitted out with modern facilities, such as full oven, microwave, kettle, full sized iron and ironing board.
Overall impression that the apartments were of good standard.

Dissapointed with ongoing cleaning of apartments as bed linen changed only once in 2 weeks,no way near enough, but had fresh towels every 2 days.

Staff in general very friendly and obliging and excellent choices of evening entertainment on offer but to be honest we ventured the trek into town most evenings.

The location of the apartments is really the most disappointing factor and although it does tell you this in the brochure, it doesn't prepare you for the 15-20min trek to town or the beach, so thats 2 x a day if you don't want to stay at the pool, and if you want to venture out at night. We are not averse to walking but with 2 children in puschairs it did become arduous towards the end of the fortnight (mother has blisters to prove it and I have deeply bruised leg where pushchair got caught in a pothole on the road and I fell over it!!! Not under influence of alcohol either!!!)

The accomodation is in the middle of a residential area but with hardly any amenities close at hand.

Mangoes was ok but meals not fantastic, and apartment supermarket woefully stocked which ment another 15 min trek with buggies for collecting essentials and other bits and bobs. The supermarket at the Casa Luis round the corner is slightly better stocked.

We had a fab holiday and though the apartments were good standard but just too far out of the way for us as we like to go into town etc however there seemed to be a lot of people staying there who were quite happy to spend day and night in the complex.

We would not go back again purely on location and the fact that we don't normally go back to the same place again anyway.

Our holiday at the C'an Sanso was perfect, just what we needed. We were met off the coach and shown to our apartment which couldn't have been in a better situation.

We were on the top floor in the middle, overlooking the pool which is just what we had requested many months before when we booked. We would have been disappointed if we had been on the busy road side of the apartments. The complex was ideal, not too busy.

Only problem as is the case with most hotels/apartments was getting up early to reserve a sunbed. People were claiming them at 0800 and not arriving until after lunch, sometimes about 1500.
The food served in the complex restaurant was exceptional for the price we paid. We ate at the apartments 3/4 times during our two week stay and were always pleased with the "specials" menu.

The location of the apartments for us was not a problem. The walk into town took only 10/15 minutes stroll along a busy road. Not a problem for us as our the other two in our party were teenagers. Possibly a problem with buggies or young children along such a busy road. The staff were always helpful and friendly.

The entertainment was as we would expect for an apartment complex. You would only expect better in a 5* hotel. We would definitely visit these apartments again but only if it could be guaranteed to have an apartment with a pool view.

After reading other reports decided this would be for us. Situated just outside the town (about 10 mins walk)on a flat surface, was no problem to us but those with walking difficulties and 'stroppy' kids may be a problem. A local bus does run past every half hour and a taxi was only 4 euros, but never used them. The Can Sanso is down a side road off the main Es Cana road.

The room we were given was a studio over looking the pool and above the restaurant seating area but the noise was not off putting. Very clean apartment with all the facilities working. A lack of drawer space was the only comment that faulted it (plenty of room to put a set of drawers in !!).

A small shop on site was stocked well but no English papers (the one round the corner does them)

18 euros for safe hire and 6 euros for key deposit.

Staff were very good and trustworthy, so maybe a safe wasn't needed ?

Thomson's now run a policy of not having reps every week, so you have to use the phone to contact them (not needed). We found this out when we wanted to book the room for our last day as we had a midnight flight home. Was told it would be 30-40 euros so didn't bother speaking to them, we just used the courtesy room. This was a very good one compared to other hotels. 2 sofa beds/dining table/4 shower rooms, and Gerado who keeps an eye on things.

Quite a few family's there, which didn't cause hassle to us, as we spent every day away from the place.

Traffic noise can be heard as stated in the brochure, but you get used to it and wasn't too offensive. Also some building work going on across the main road, but again this didn't cause a problem.

Spoke to a lot of people who seemed to be regulars there, making 2 or 3 trips a year, so things can't be that bad.

Myself, my husband, our 2 daughters (4 and 7) and my parents went on our 3rd Holiday to the Can Sanso Apartments this year and as usual had a wonderful time.

Our Apartment was very clean and well equipped. The kitchen was ample enough to cook in with a lovely big fridge.

All the staff Emma, Pablo, Alun and Tony were all great and very helpful. They really did make our holiday great fun. Emma is English and was happy to answer the millions of questions you have when you are in a foreign country.

My 2 daughters had a fantastic time playing in the park and swimming in the pool in fact my eldest cried all the way home.

There was some great entertainment especially Commit 2 Blues and Jennifer Molloy and of course you can't miss Bingo with Emma.

Myself, husband and children returned last week from the most amazing holiday at the C'an Sanso apartments.

We had a fantastic time. The apartments were clean and well equipped. The pool was fantastic and never over-crowded. The staff were friendly and helpful and made you feel really welcome. Emma and Alun were great with the kids, and Emma's bingo calling is a must, especially after she's had coffee......ha ha ha.

The entertainment was great, a good mix for all ages, my son, Riain(6), especially enjoyed the magician who was most flattered when he asked for his autograph. My daughter Shannon (11) loved the Karaoke night, so did I, the highlight was Emma and Tony's version of La Bamba...they certainly made the night.

The apartments themselves are not in the main town, but it was nice walk down to the harbour and shops etc, about 15 mins, and about 10 mins the other way was Bora Bora beach, this was a nice quite beach enclosed by trees, but we preferred the town beach which was a little further to get to but nicer sand and less rocks in the sea.

We have never been to Ibiza before and it certainly beat all our expectations, and it was the C'an Sanso that totally won us over.

We are already looking at booking again for next year....Can't wait.

Can Sanso was fantastic I am definitely going back next year.

So clean I found no creepy crawlies in my apartment or under my bed. Made lots of friends. The pool is so much fun.

The staff are so amazing Emma is fab I went to a local football match with her Pablo always made me laugh when I went for food and drink Julian always comes to your table to make sure your ok and Toni wow he is so fine (and funny and friendly.) He told me all the best places to go and opened the shop at night if I really needed anything.

My room was so nice I felt like I was at home. Can't remember what number but it was the biggest apartment and was the only apartment with a balcony at the front facing the shop. I really felt like I was at home.

I am sooo going to miss can Sanso, my apartment and Tony of course, and his brother hubby! Make sure you come here best place I have stayed at fun for every ages. And it will be on my number 1 get away list, might even consider moving to Ibiza in a few years!!

Must come and stay at Can Sanso!!!
