We have just returned from one weeks holiday at the hotel riomar in Santa Euealia.
The hotel is excellent value for money.ok, the rooms are a bit basic and the food choice was limited but the whole hotel was spotlessly clean,the food was totally edible and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
We would have no reservations about staying there again as the location was perfect. on a repeat visit we would pay the extra for a sea view as the balconies were nice and big and the view gorgeous.even tho our room was on the back we overlooked the hills so it was still very nice tho the balcony was very small.
The only downside was the lack of evening entertainment at the hotel (only one night per week). an ideal hotel for couples.

The hotel is well situated to the beach only 20 yards away. It is a fair walk into town, to get to the bus station and a fair walk to the ferry boats. It was hot whilst we were there and altough the rooms are very clean they are in need of a really good upgrade.
We were situated at the front of the hotel (mountain view), there is no air con and no air in the room at all, (it gets the afternoon/evening sun) consequently you need to leave the window open and the curtains ajar to try to get some air in.
The road although a residential one is noisey with kids up and down on motorbikes and the binmen at 4.00am every morning. The food was fine lots of salad, 2 choices of potatoes, fish and a choice of meats most nights. The entertainment was poor, a singer one week and a drag act another.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly and with an upgrade on the rooms it could be winning awards again like it has in the past.

Room cleaned everyday, hotel very clean. Ordinary, basic hotel food, but you will always find a decent meal. Same as all hotels the food gets boring after a fortnight.
Excellent location, only a footpath between the hotel and the beach. All hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
Entertainment only two nights out of our fortnight.
Rooms are very basic with no television but they are spotless.
