We are a family of 4 with two girls 3yrs & 7 months old.

The hotel is split into blocks with good access for a pushchair by lift.

The room was in good order with a lounge area with the kitchen area at one end separate bathroom and a separate bedroom. The kitchen had a microwave, fridge with an ice box, kettle & a hand blender plus all the usual knives etc. The lounge has a TV with about 7 UK channels. You have to hire the remote for around 5 euro which you get back at the end of your stay.

It's worth asking for a pool view when you book as you might be lucky & get put on the top floor which has an off center view of the sea ( we were in block 2 ).

Entertainment was very good in the daytime around the pool area & all the kids loved the 8 till 9pm disco. The hotel had a very safe feel to it so no need to worry about your little ones running around as the hotel is made up of 99% young family's as all of the older kids were back at school.

Overall we had a great time & will return.

This year was our 7th time of going 2 the Bonaire, its the most amazing hotel!!

We ate in the restaurant half the time because the food offers a wide choice for all tastes: vegetarian, adults & children!

Maids are efficient and friendly & the bar staff are hilarious!!

The entertainment is by far the best, although the cabaret acts do not interest me, the entertainers put on a rep show once a week which is amazing and gets better each year. This years entertainers were LJ cool (female Peter Kay!!), Wackly Wendy & Little Leane & were equally gd @ their job of entertaining through the day as well as in the kids discos each night & rep shows. Kids club reps are good too. I'm 15 now but I went to the clubs up until I had to leave!! It's guarenteed you may not see your kids for the whole of ur holiday!! This year I went to the Grid, the teenage club. It was by far the best part of my holiday and the reps Holly & Jo were amazing!! I met so many great matess too & we're all going back next year! don't give this hotel a miss!!

We have just returned from another brillant holiday from the Bonaire.

The hotel staff work very hard to make sure that you have a great holiday.

The Thomson reps are also great and always have a smile on their faces and make sure that everyone has a brill time.

The food in the hotel is first class and well worth the money.

Lots of things to do in the daytime and if you want to take part you can or you can just lay about the pool and soak up the rays.

The only thing that could have been better was the fact that you had to get up very early to get beds with umbrellas.

Anyone going here will have a great time and will add to the many people that go back year after year.

Just returned from a family holiday at this hotel. The Creche facilities and kids clubs were fantastic. With resonable priced swim lessons. However on the down side the entertainment on the evening was a bit butlin style and the entertainment reps were a bit abusive in order to get laughs. The food was plentiful but monotomous. By the end of 2 wks we were ready to go home

We had visited this hotel during the winter when it is young at heart, so we were a bit apprehensive going in the summer when it is superfamily, but there are many people of all ages who enjoy this lovely aparthotel.

Large one bedroom apartments,we were in block 4 with a poolview room which had sun until 1pm. The t.v. receives b.b.c1 and 2 itv, cartoon channel, sky news and sports, probably the best range we have come across.

If you want to have the food option it is cheaper to pay the

Travelled second week in May.Lovely weather.

Hotel food was good and hotel staff very helpful.Thomson reps were excellent.

Stayed in block 4 had a lovely view of mountains and countryside. My children loved the football pitch, indoor swimming pool, playground, soft play area and mini-beach.
This hotel is ideal for families particularly with younger children.

Cala Bona town is close by and the locals are very friendly.

The Bonaire is very well cared for.

The general manager can be seen most days walking around the gardens and buildings keeping an eye on things. The staff are very friendly and have worked at the Bonaire for years.

The bar staff work tirelessly for very long hours but nothing is too much trouble.

The accomodation for everyone is an apartment, even if you are half board you get a kitchen with fridge etc. there is also a TV with sky sport, BBC and ITV, you can hire a remote. The apartment has a safe you can use for a small charge.

The entertainers from outside are excellent.

The all weather green bowls court was well used by the young at heart and bowling clubs on holiday.

The swimming pools were clean, the outside one was too chilly for me in April.

My family and I spent a fantastic two-week holiday here
in September 05.

The rooms were clean and contained all the equipment you need for a self-catering holiday. One tip is to shop around before buying your groceries as the prices vary considerably depending on which supermarket you use.

The hotel restaurant is well worth a visit, a great kids selection which meant I did not have to worry about my daughter living on chips for two weeks!

The kids reps were first class. My daughter loved the 'kids disco' every night. The reps really made an effort to get to know you and your children. There is also other entertainment every night too - ranging from games to performances from a range holiday entertainers. I would not lie and say they were all fantastic but hey when is holiday entertainment ever up to that much anyway!

You can always get a change of scenary by visiting the
beautiful harbour which is only a short walk away. There are plenty of lovely restuarants to choose from and lots of shops to browse around.

If you want dicos and noisy nightlife then this is not the place for you. If you want plenty of activities for the kids, a good base from which to explore the island, then this is a great place to start.

We loved it so much we are back again for another break in August 06.

This was our second time here, we first stayed at the Bonaire in 2004. Well, where do I start, this place is fantastic, loads to do, apartments clean, staff excellent, food gorgeous(you will gain weight)entertainment great.

The kids love Thomson the dog and I guarantee that Thomson the dog song will be stuck in your head forever.

Pools lovely and big and the actual grounds are beautiful, if you want to sunbathe in quiet then the huge lawns are lovely to sunbathe.

Entertainment all through the day for kids and there's quizzes around the pool for the adults as well.

We are going again in September and I just can't wait. The beaches are clean and safe and the walk into Cala Millor is lovely, especially at night.

The pirates show is a must, at first we thought it was a little expensive, but the show is first class and you can eat and drink as much as you want, all the family will love it.

We have just returned from a Stay/Cruise holiday at the Bonaire.

As it was a substitute holiday (Mexico cancelled due to hurricane then re-booked for Sharm El Sheikh and had to get out of that one!) we did not have much time to research the Bonaire.

The Bonaire is located in a quiet part of Cala Bona and a 5 minute stroll takes you to Cala Bona harbour You cannot really fault the hotel, grounds or staff, although the menu did not look very appealing (very typical cheap and nasty buffet like most standard Spanish hotels I have been to) so we were glad to be eating out.

As we were expecting a truly 4/5 star hotel (as we had booked for Mexico) I was quite disappointed when we arrived. I would class it as a 3 star at the most. I would describe it as Butlins/Center Parcs in the sun!

Very noisy round by the pool due to all the poolside entertainment and sunbeds packed around it like sardines with lots of cheap fabric umbrellas added by Thomson's as there weren't enough permanent straw built ones. If you like loud and noisy "English" style holidays in the sun then this would be for you. If you like an upmarket holiday then do not go here.

The staff were very friendly but do take some ant powder for the rooms as we even found them over our daughters bed sheets in the lounge area!
