When we arrived the hotel looked pleasant. Got to the room and it was dated there were wires showing on lights which wasnt good for my one yr old son the balcony bar shook slightly and my sons cot was rusty and dated.

The room was clean though. This was a very large hotel it only had one tiny lift to use between the first and fifth floor which meant you were waiting a long time.

There were 3 other large lifts to floors 5 and above which was maddening. Our rooms were cleaned daily I understood the maids were very busy but our doors were not cleaned till the last day and a 1 year old with sticky fingers did make them filthy.

Also we had to complain about the beds a few times as they were not changed and sleeping in a sandy bed was not comfortable.

The food was good we never went hungry although breakfast was catered towards the German's. The waiter was fantastic he was a credit to the hotel and the entertainment team were as well.

I would not go back to this hotel again as it was too dated and extremely crowded there was also alot of fighting between teenagers.

I stayed her end July/early August with my 10 year old son. I have to say I was very impressed with the hotel - we both had a fantastic time.

The food was lovely, it's buffet and every day there is salad, rice, pasta and sauces, a choice of meat and fish, vegtables, 2 or 3 styles of potatoes, soup. At lunchtime there is also a paella. For desert fruit and lovely cakes and mouses. My son ate well every day. Breakfast too is good, you can have ceral, cooked breakfast or toast or breads.

As with any hotel there are never enough sunbeds, but I lay on the grass on a towel and during the day always managed to get a bed at some stage. The reception also say that if a bed is reserved for more than half hour and no one uses it, that it is acceptable to remove the towel.

There were queues at times at the bar for drinks, but when do you ever go to a bar and get served straight away in peak season? The longest I ever waited I think was about 4 mins - not too bad.

The rooms are compact, but kept clean. The lifts may be a problem if you are on the higher floors, I was on the 4th and walked - I spoke to some people who had requested lower floors when booking and got them - so worth a try if you're not up to stair walking!

The staff are excellent - they are friendly, put on a variety of professional shows and I was really really impressed by them. The kids loved the entertainers and every day there is a kids disco which the parents are roped into.

And if some one want best food or entertainment go to TROTTERS ON THE BEACH is about 5 mn walk to the beach is a good fun.

This is our second time to club tonga as we visited last year, we didnt know if this time would be as good as last, but it was even better.

The hotel is nice and clean, the staff are friendly and work very hard for their money, the food is lovely although can be repetitive but they still do a brilliant job.

Now to the entertainment staff, this is what truely makes the holiday great, jarl has a great team in Alex, Wim, Jane, Irina, Greet and Meyka.

These people word so hard to make everyones holiday enjoyable and they do so with a smile on their faces all day and night, the girls are brilliant with the kids at the mini club and my kids are missing them so much, and the boys make the most of all the sports during the day, if you can go on the bike ride I would say do so as you see the other side to Alcudia.

Ghe evening entertainment is fantastic with all the shows they put on and they love it when the quests arent too shy to join in.

We are looking forward to next year and we hope the same entertainment staff will be there as we will then know the holiday will be as good as this years.

Just returned after our 5th stay at this hotel. Can't understand last review, this hotel is fantastic in everyway.
Food is excellent, lots of choice. Bar staff great.

Entertainment team are terrific, Jarl,Wim and Alex work 15hrs per day to entertain everyone and the girls make sure the kids are happy in the mini club.

Maybe people don't like the different languages the entertainment team speak during the shows but you get used to it. It's not all Germans as someone reported. There are Austrians, Polish,Swedish,Dutch who are all friendly and willing to mix.

My tip to anyone travelling this summer is to look after the bar staff with a few coins,as I had to get my mixer in another glass, due to glass being full of spirit!!We have booked to go back in Sept for 2 weeks with our friends, and are counting down the days till then.

This is the first DIY holiday we have been on and all worked out really well. It took us an hour from the airport, which was mainly motorway and overall a pleasant journey.

The Hotel Club Tonga rooms had 3 single beds and 1 pulley down bed which overall was very spacious although there was not much room for hanging clothing, we mostly just lived out out suitcases. We were on the fifth floor at the front of the Hotel with a furnished balcony divided by frosted screens.
The bathroom could of done with updating but was clean.
The towels were changed daily and beds were supposedly made everyday, but sheets were just thrown over the bed and were never changed.
I must say that the room floor was really dirty and the week we were there it had never been swept at all. Their is a television that you have to pay

It was our first time staying on all inclusive and we were all very pleased with the standard and variety of food. We never had a problem finding a clean table and used plates were always taken away fairly quickly.

The walk to the beach takes around 5 minutes and it does get very busy, we only spent one day on there and took the picnic prepared by the hotel with us.

The hotel is well situated for buses and the local train, we used both. The centre of C'an Picafort is only a short walk away and on most evenings we went to the centre to the English pubs to watch football and the soaps.

The entertainment team work very hard from 10.00am until 12.00 and they provided a wide range of daily activities.

The hotel staff were always helpful and the room was cleaned daily, and clean towels left. The lifts do get very busy but as my partner doesn't like lifts we used the stairs there are 130 steps from the bottom to the eighth floor!!!!

So if you don't like lifts or the long wait for them suggest a room on the lower levels. Club Tonga is usually the last drop off from the airport so be prepared for a long journey from the airport, ours took 2hrs but depending on how many hotels you have to drop off at this can vary.

Just arrived back from our second vist to this hotel we had a great time and did not want to leave.

Jarl, Alex Wim and the girls work hard from 10/till 12 midnight they make sure everyone from young to old has a great time.

The rooms are cleaned everyday plenty clean towels everyone from the maids to the bar staff work very hard. The only problem with the bar is they could do with a queue for the kids as it is only 2 drinks per person and it can get realy busy.

My daughter really loved the kids club and the team do a show were they let the kids be the stars. My daughter and her friends all nationalities did Oliver Twist. Jarl and his team work very well with the children this hotel is only 5 to 10 mins to the beach, with lots of shops and some nice bars.

Try Wotites the British pub they show all the soaps if you are a soap fan. The hotel food is good with plenty to choose from.both our kids liked it. The snack bar during the day is good but the hotel could do with some snacks at night as the kids and some adults where hungray at night.

My teenage son only had one problem, Wendy who did the teenagers club last year is no longer there and we all missed her, and there is no longer a teenagers club but the team let them join in with the adults and its fun if you want to push each other in the pool you can push the entertainers in if u can catch them.

If you go to this hotel you will have a great time. We are hoping to go back next year.

We have just returned from The Club Tonga hotel. It was our first holiday together with out the kids, and we really enjoyed it!!

The hotel is a short walk from the beach - which is like heaven on earth!! - there are plenty of shops and pubs etc also around this area, so plenty to choose from.

The hotel itself was really nice.

The rooms are very clean and the hotel staff are helpful - although some of the staff have limited knowledge of English, which at times, made communicating to them what you wanted a little difficult - but other than that, they are all really polite and helpful. All the staff do their utmost to make sure you enjoy your stay.

The only disappointment, which wasn't a big one really, was the entertainment wasn't that good. The staff, again, worked really hard at what they were doing, but it could have been more varied. Each night was a show, put on by the same members of staff. Perhaps a guest entertainer or a disco one night, could have broken this up a bit. Also everything closed completely at 12am and the bar people also seemed to limit the drinks they served from about 11.15 onwards. Snacks in the evening would also be appreciated, as you can sometimes get the munchies at night!!

Still that won't stop us going again! We are going to take the girls next year, as there is plenty for them to do - although, again I know our elder daughter would love a disco!!!

All in all a lovely relaxing, family orientated place, with plenty to do in the area and lots to do in the hotel, if you don't fancy looking about. Would recommend it!

We stayed at Club Tonga from 23rd July 2005 to 30th July 2005. We have one son aged 10. I can only give a neutral review of this hotel because the pros and cons basically cancelled each other out.

Pros.

Food in the main is very good, a bit repetitive at times and the choice slightly lacking at breakfast but quality was good.

Plenty of seating around the pool throughout the day on seats, not loungers, as most of the loungers were all taken very early in the morning.

Plenty of staff around the bar areas although the queues could mean a wait of 5 mins or more during the busy periods in the evening.

Entertainment staff made a good effort, but you can imagine that it is difficult to get a joke across in 5 different languages.

The on-site sports facilities very good (2 tennis courts, one 5-a-side football pitch, archery range and beach volleyball court).

Cons.

We paid extra to stay in a 'triple standard' which for the 3 of us was adequate, not luxurious. I would hate to see a twin + 1 type room as I can only imagine it would be tiny if ours was a larger room.

Even though the entertainment team made a good effort, the language banner made everything drag on a bit and understanding when one language stopped and English started made the whole thing quite draining as you strained to listen. All the entertainers were from around the rest of Europe, but none were English which was shame.

Not exactly close to the beach and probably the furthest from the beach of just about all the hotels in C'an Picafort and I wouldn't class it as being close the the resort centre although Can Picafort is not that big so you are only 10 to 15 min walk from most places.

The on-site kids club was OK, but the language barrier for small kids is even worse due the heavy accents they had. The kids club details of the daily activities were not well displayed (we only found it the day before we left) and only in German!

This is a mainly German orientated hotel as there was only details from one English tour operator whilst there were loads of different German ones.

There are loads of signs up around the bars stating that you are limited to 2 drinks per person per visit to the bar. We found that up until 11pm the bar staff would let you have 4 drinks, but would then stick the rule after 11pm basically when the entertainment finished.

On the whole, can't grumble too much as the price we got (
