Just returned from a very enjoyable week at the Holiday Village Viva. The hotel complex is well laid out and set in pretty gardens and we found all areas very clean and tidy. The rooms are very spacious and clean, very handy having a shower in the bath plus a seperate shower cubicle.
The variety of food in the buffet was excellent, unless you are a very fussy eater you should be able to find something you like. The salads were particularly good with plenty of meats, cheeses & fish on offer. We didn't eat at the Italian or Caribbean grill because of having a baby with us, but we were told by friends that the food was good in both. Snacks were readily available at the poolside bar from 10am til 6pm which included burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches & salads.
We found all the staff very friendly and attentive and service was always good regardless of how busy it got.
The entertainment staff work really hard and do put on some good shows, there were also some good acts that visited throughout the week. The bingo is worth a go with jackpot being around 300 euros!
This was our second time at a Viva hotel and would highly recommend them to families.

We have just returned from a great family holiday at the Holiday Village Viva and I can say in all honesty that this is one of the best family holidays we have ever had.

The food was very good and the main restaurant has plenty of choice with a childrens selection served for the first hour of every sitting. (It was so good that we didn't bother with the Italian and Carabian Grill)

Both pools are very nice and the whole complex is clean and very safe.

The kids clubs are very good as are the entertainment teams that run them. My daughter went to swimming lessons with Vikki who was very good and really looked after the kids.

The whole family enjoyed the evening entertainment which started every night with kids club.

A great place and well worth the money.

The whole complex was very large and comfortable and extremly clean. We stayed S/C and we upgraded to AI for 35 euros pp per day, 17.50 for the child. We found it was well worth it for us.

The food in the restaurant was typical AI food, breakfasts were very good, packed lunches were available, evening meals were ok. The food at the Italian restaurant was excellent we went twice in one week as it was off season, did not try the Carribean Grill as there were many complaints about mosquitos as it is outside.

The drinks side was excellent there was never a big queue as the staff were so fast. There is a large outside area with stage which was used for the first three nights and then it moved inside where there was a very big entertainment lounge although we sometime had to wait for seats so high season on a rainy night this could cause a problem.

Pool was large and there were plenty of sunbeds but the babies pool was tiny which is strange as this is a family place. Pool towels available for 5 euros deposit. Indoor pool was very good with Jacuzzi and sauna, showers and toilets.

The accommodation was the really good, plenty of room and every thing you could want was supplied, we were in block 3 and found it was very quiet. Only news channels in English on TV. Grounds were so well kept and spotless.

This is a very child friendly place and with the exeption of the babies pool, was designed with them in mind. First Choice reps were available all day in reception and they were very good as were the entartainment and child reps who worked very hard.

The shops and the beach were about ten mins walk away,
slight incline back. Buses to Palma were right by the hotel and buses to other places about five mins walk away. This a place to go with children I would not return as a couple but as part of a family holiday it was very good.

we stayed self catering but it should just be all inclusive as if you want drinks or food you cant pay for any thing and you have to put money on your swipe card that you use to get in to your room.
hotel was clean but our room had a musty smell and it wasnt cleand propaly. as we were self catering we didnt use the reastaurants and only used the pool bar onece for our little girl. as the weather was not very good and rained for most of the week we could not use the out door pools and we could not stay in the indoor pool as there was to much clorine in and it stung your eyes and hurt your nose the whirl pool was the same. it was also quiet hard trying to entertain a four year old when all it was doing was raining and they could not use the pools.
hotel was a bit far out and not really near anything.
hotel staff were quiet helpfull but it took 2 hours for some one to come and fix our tiolet that had started to leek and i had to place a pan under it and try and mop the floor with towels did have to go back to reception to ask if any one was comeing.
entertainment on a night time was diabolical as half the acts did not turn up and it was up to the entertainment team to step in. only went on one trip but not organised very well as there was two different trips on one coach.
no i would not go back to this hotel.

This is our second year visiting the Holiday Village and we were pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit bowl in the apartment on our arrival. The Reception staff were as efficient as ever and check in was quick, thankfully as the bus journey from Palma to C'An Picafort (after stopping off at every apartment in Alcudia) took almost 2 hours. Would have liked food or a snack to be available being that it was 22.45 before we arrived at the Holiday Village. In comparison to last year we got an excellent apartment with very little noise on the top floor, which in my opinion is the best floor to ask for as the noise echos through the lower floors in these blocks. We didn't think the Holiday Village was as busy as this time last year and there seemed to be plenty of sunbeds available at around 11.00 in the morning,we went to the beach each day so didn't use the facilities. It was handy on check in that you could leave a copy of your Visa card at Reception and use your room key card to order food or drink over the stay if you wanted. Also the safety deposit box is a must. Our apartment was spacious and was cleaned three times during our 1 week stay.I can't say it was a thorough clean and both myself and our 4 year old brought slippers to wear as from last years experience we knew the floors were never cleaned properly. Also agree the toilets are smelly, don't know if this is the water...Entertainment at night, in my opinion is brutal.I know the staff try there best but it really is ridiculous to watch the same people each night attempt different acts.We didn't see as many outside cleaning staff this year but the Village is well maintained and there are plenty of bins etc if people would only use them.We noticed broken glass around the pool area 2 nights. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay this year, better than last year in my opinion. Would definitely revisit the Village and just love C'An Picafort. One more mention for people with small children and toddlers don't cart loads of supplies (as I myself have done), you can buy Pampers and all the Irish/British brands of baby food. The Spanish equivalent are also very good quality.

we stayed here in 2005 so we knew what to expect and it did not let us down, the hotel is there for all the family as our group went from 5.8.10 to 80 the hotel is spotless and the staff are cleaning all day long well into the evening.
the food has a good variety although we did struggle a bit with the kids if i have one point it was never very hot maybe we picked the wrong time but speaking to other people the same opinion was met.
the entertainment was good with the reps working there socks off.
sunbeds were never a problem maybe down to the time of year some days there were stacked by the side of the pool well into the afternoon.
although at times in the evening the bar did get busy the way the staff served was allmost poetry in motion and enteraining to watch the speed they served, never at the bar more than 5 mins(maybe our local pub could take a leaf out of there book)
a great family atmosphere through and through wont be back next year as we are trying a different destination but i would only village viva on my next visit to majorca.

Have just returned from our summer holiday at this complex. Hotel staff and bar staff were very pleasent and efficient. The daytime staff worked hard to encourage participation and the evening entertainment team were fantastic, in fact always worked extremely hard, and would always say hello to you, in fact we enjoyed their entertainment much more than the professional acts brought in. You could tell that they enjoyed what they were doing. The towel hire was a great bonus, only 5 euros per towel deposit and you could get them changed whenever you wanted, and then get the money back when you hand the towels in, no need to take beach towels with you.
Could do with more imagination with pool snack bar choices, and rooms cleaned more thoroughly.

We have just come back after two fantastic weeks at the vilage.

Most days we were round the pool and the fountains with our 18 month old son. He loved them what I fab idea to keep the little ones entertained.

I would also highly recommened the 10 min walk to the beach for a change. The sea was a lot warmer than the pool and the beach is very clean, with an option of sun beds.

The appartment was very big for a one bed and was cleaned every day apart from Sunday.

As we were self catering we didnt eat at the hotel and missed all the evening entertainment

Loved it!!

The hotel staff work very hard. The queue for drinks at the bar in the evenings can be long, but the bar staff work very hard and fast, they are excellent at keeping the queuing to a minimum. The hotel is kept very clean, although I would say that our room could of been cleaned more thoroughly than it was and the toilet was always smelly.
The food was excellent, far too much really(massive weight gain!!)The staff work very hard and are very prompt at seating you.
The outdoor swimming pools were brilliant and my two children spent most of the day in them. There are fun quiz's that take part around the pool area daily and fun pool activities you can take part in.
What made our holiday was the entertainment team,Ruth,Hayley,Jenna and Jamie are absolutely excellent. They work day and night and are always happy.Ruth is so enthusiastic with everything she does and has an excellent singing voice,a brilliant allrounder.Their evening performances can't be faulted, they are professionals. The outside entertainers that the hotel got in were no way near as good as the hotel entertainers but just about bareable.I loved Jamie's Justin Timberlake. There is big bucks to play for in the bingo every night, well worth taking part. This hotel would be lost without Ruthie, they have a lot to thank her for.
