As a family of 22 we picked Can Picafort for our holiday destination, not one of us had a single complaint to make in the 7 days we had there.

The beach is literaly a 3 to 4 minute walk from our hotel, the town centre and beach front shops are a must if your going to this resort.

There are many english bars we used to frequent for meals and watching english tv, birdies bar is a must if your from the north, these guys are so friendly you feel right at home. There's also a free x box for the kids to use which is a good thing for the parents if you need a break.

We all said we would come back again, it has been a pleasure to visit this resort.

C'an Picafort - The resort is well looked after considering the visitors they have and in general is clean and tidy, waste collection is every day!

The beach is raked and cleaned every day,the sunbed/shade hire is a tad expensive @ E7.50 a day, but again there are plenty of places along the front to eat/drink all helpful and clean

We will be going again as soon as my bank manager says we can go !!!

The resort of Can Picafort is ok, its your typical Spanish resort a few bars, few restaurants all along a beach front, if you've seen Costa del sol, you've seen it all, however we stayed at the Son Boulo area of the resort and as a local put it "this place has died!" it was really quiet.

Pubs shut around midnight, to get to anywhere for some after midnight drinking or entertainment you will need to walk for 20mins (not good after a drink!)

If you go to C'an Picafort make sure you book a hotel in the resort centre, otherwise prepare yourself for long walks everyday to the bank, chemist, lively pubs etc,
the resort entertainment was poor, we would sit in bars in the evening and the owners would be shutting up come midnight, the only exception was "Charleys" which was in the resort centre with a night club underneath, only trouble was that after watching the hotel entertainment you would have to drag yourself out for a 20mins walk to get there, the other option was to get a taxi for 5 euros a time but it soon mounts up! And it’s a little extra that you can do without!

The beach wasn't that great, if you’ve only ever been to the Mediterranean then I suppose you would say it was ok (I'm worldly traveled and wasn't impressed!) The sand was ok if you don't mind fag ends all over the place, it was filthy in some places, I only there the once!

The sun loungers set you back 14 euros a day (too expensive) The beach is controlled by a flag system because there can be a sudden change in the currents, this can be dangerous to small children or weak swimmers on most occasions I noticed the flag was red meaning no swimming.

I wouldn’t go to this resort again because it didn't satisfy my needs, I am a 20 something that wanted entertainment, beautiful beaches and lively atmosphere, (something we were promised by a lady in Lunn Poly at Fosse Park) only this resort didn't do it for me.

I have one recommendation for anyone considering this place "DON'T BOTHER, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSE WHERE!"

Can Picafort has a quiet side and a more "lively" side to it . We enjoyed strolling along the "prom" each evening and also buying the many shops the resort has to offer. It has loads of bars & resturants of which we didn't use because we were half board in the hotel but they all seemed clean, friendly & with a variety of menues.
This resort is one of cleanliness, the beach, the marina, the promonade, all public areas and of cause the sea Excellant!

sort of quiet though im sure you could probably find more nightlife if you travelled to another resort for the night? was good though all in all just a little too quiet for my age (19)some lovely resteraunts although some i would advise you to avoid! directly on the right hand side of the beach ther is a german resteraunt...food was quite nice although waiters were very sarcastic and brought out wrong food order deliveratly to sell ther main dish of the night which i had not orderd...they done this to a few people and they were not very helpful and did not offer to sort out problem or provide me with what i had actually orderd! beach and actual resort were absolutly lovely though!
