Overall, an excellent choice for those who do not need to be in the middle of town. Well positioned between Alcudia and Puerto Pollenca. Practically no beach right at hotel (across road from entrance) but plenty of beaches as you go towards Puerto Pollenca.

Great swimming pools (I think 3+) at the hotel. The pools are well laid out, with wading pools for children. Sparkling clean. Nice views of mountains and ocean.

Property nicely laid out, and spread out. Good open spaces. Only three floors high (ground, 1st, 2nd). Parking spaces if you have a rental car. Bus stop right outside entrance. Cheap and the bus drivers speak English and can be helpful about where to get out and on. It was one euro each way.

Studio sofa beds not very comfortable. I was told by staff that the one-bedroom rooms have real beds with real mattresses. If we get a chance to go back, we will try these as we didn't sleep that well on the sofa beds and their foam mattresses. Good air conditioning.

Kitchen area would score high, except that who over laid out the room, didn't seem to feel that under cabinet or overhead lighting was important. So you are cooking and prepping in darkness. When I complained, it was met with little sympathy. I asked for an extra light, but nothing appeared. Somewhat annoying to ruin a nice place with negligence in planning. Even the light from reading lights on the wall were obscured by a shelf directly under them. So you couldn't use them to read. TV reception was not very good even though they had some sort of satellite setup.

Food in restaurant buffet okay. There was a lot of choice. We went once, and it was enough. We preferred the local food. But, I can see the buffet an excellent choice for those with families and/or huge appetites.

At first we weren't all together crazy about the place, but as the week went on, and also seeing some of the monstrous blocks of hotels in other areas, we considered ourselves very lucky and would be happy to stay there again.

A few evenings were noisy until about midnight with the entertainment, but for October, it wasn't too intrusive, with the TV to drown it out a little.

We did not attend any of the entertainment evenings, so we cannot comment on their quality.

The lift (elevator) was a nice amenity. The place was spotless. Balconies had table and chairs and clothes lines.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. We went to them first when needing some direction. They sell good maps at reception. English newspapers available at a price. The local food shop was convenient for a few items here and there. Prices a bit high, but not too bad for the convenience. Staff there nice too. I dropped a carton of eggs after I paid for them, and the cashier insisted on replacing them. Be aware that they don't take cards for payment. Cleaning staff also very pleasant with a hello.

I'm pretty fussy having been an ex-travel agent.

Club Del Sol was an excellent apart/hotel with great pools and bar areas. The rooms were clean with small kitchen are and dining table with 4 chairs, one bedroom with twin beds and 2 full size sofa type beds in the living area. There was air conditioning which was switched on with your room key and a television which had the usual satellite stations plus BBC1 which was a bonus!

The food at the buffet was ok, we aren't really buffet people but it was fine - there was also an outside snack bar which served everything from sandwiches to omlettes to chicken to pasta to steak! This opened for lunch and again at dinner time.

The location is the only thing that let the place down, it is not within walking distance of Porta Pollensa for families and also in August heat. There was a bus service which was fine but waiting can be a pain in the heat, I'd prefer to be somewhere more central. There was only one pub near the hotel called Jules, this was a great place which did food as well, but sometimes variety is nice.

The entertainment at the complex was good, better than at some places I've been to before - there was the usual kiddies disco followed by Bingo (which was actually ok, cause they gave all the monies collected to the winner so some nights there was over euro150 up for grabs! After the bingo there was sometimes a show (professional brought in ie. Abba tribute, other pop star tributes, parrot show etc, there were occasional nights that the hotel team did which were not great but on the whole entertainment was ok.

Overall this was a nice clean friendly place, but a little out of the way.

We were sent here after I refused to stay at the Jupiter Hotel in Alcudia. First impressions I thought the place looked clean and tidy in reception when we got to our apartments they were also clean and tidy. The pool area is lovely we were in room 3106 which was on the ground floor and right beside the entertainment at night it was ok but if you have young children who like to go to bed before 10.30pm ask for block 5 or 6 as there is no entertainment at these blocks. The bar closes at 12.30am but you can still hear people partying until 1.30am-2.00am. We bought the meal packs from reception as for a family of 4 I thought they the deal was good for breakfast and dinner {meals are nice}. The location was not great as you had to get a bus into town which ws 1euro per person it is too far too walk with young children. We went into Alcudia on the sunday for the market go you get good deals. The supermarkets are not cheap and the resturants in town are not cheap . I would not go back as it was far out and not much to do round the complex. First Choice has started a kids club this year at the complex but not for children over 8 years old. There is two young men who run the complex club and entertainment at night they are very good with the children and the kids loved the bingo at night. The shows at night are not the best.Overall the complex was nice but too far out.

fantastic holiday. Staff bent over backwards to be helpfull, food very nice in resturant, also jules bar (withinhotel) served excellent food.Lovation excellent for us, peace and quiet, although beach at the top of the road to complex was a shingle beach (didnt like that) the loals fished there. lovely beaches 10 mins walk. Entertainment was good but a little late , sometimes not coming on till ten (kids tired and ratty by then)resulting in missing some shows. great visiting shows ;tribute bands and a parrot show. Very clean, linen changed 3 times a week and towels also apartment cleaned 5 days week. very good location nothing around you but mountains! beautiful. Only down thing was on site shop very expensive, worth walking into town to the supermaket that the locals use.

We have just returned from a two week stay at Club Del Sol and had a fantastic time, we had a great room on the ground floor (block 4) Room 4113 which was right out side the childrens pool so could keep am eye on my daughter whilst in the room! plus had a nice breeze around from the pool by the sea which also gaves us great views! The staff where fab and friendly and the complex was very clean including the rooms! The supermarket was the only downside which was expensive! The entertainment was great and the animation team were excellent with the kids! we stayed self catering but ate at the snack bar and Jules Bar which is an english style pub/resturant which also showed all live sporting events/itv etc, as well as doing a great proper english breakfast!!!

Stayed at the club del sol for two weeks in june although it rained for the first three days we had a great time there. Very clean and the staff are very friendly especially the kids entertainers. Not the best of locations with you having to catch a bus to either puerto pollensa or alcudia but it is only one euro single in any direction with the bus stop right outside the complex. Varied entertainment at night some good some pretty dismal especially the nightly one game of bingo.Ther is a bar/restaurant called New Jules just over the road from reception and the food is excellent we ate there almost every night and had the full english breakfast most mornings,Its very reasonable and the staff are absoloutley brilliant.Give it a try.

The Hotel was lovely and clean and the food was good, breakfast was not that great but Dinner certainly made up for that, buffet style. The location was a bit far out however with a 10 min ride to Puerto Pollensa and 20 mins to Alcudia.

The staff were very welcoming and nice, the entertainers for the kids were great too. Kids really loved the Mini Disco, especially the song called Veo Veo which they have been singing ever since.

Parrot show was gr8 but don't have you photo taken as they are not very good and add 2 stone to your weight. They are 10 Euros, don't bother.
