My wife and I , took 2 of our grand kids, the entertainment for the kids was great, and theres a kids club so you get freedom for 3 hours during the day and kids have fun at night 7pm till 10pm and adult entertainment after 10pm. the food was the best ive ever had on holiday, my grand kids couldnt wait to show the whole family there new dances. All in all it was the best holiday ive had so much so were going back this sept with a other grandchild. Cala Bona, Cala Millor are only a 5 min cab drive or a 20 min walk. If you go there go to Yates bar, anyone will tell where it is, good entertainment, bingo, quizs, games, say hello to Dave and Liz for me. Might see you there.

This is our second visit to the hotel and again had a fabulous holiday. The first visit was in May 2009 and we were all inclusive. Although food was adequate we found it repetative and ate out more than at the hotel. We also noticed self catering customers are served out of different bottles and pumps at the bar. Hence our second visit was self catering and much more enjoyable. The pool area is fantastic for the kids although be aware there are hundreds of sad brits who are prepared to get up @ 6am to put towels on sun beds !!!!! The beach is fantastic and sun beds readily available also without the noise of poolside activities. As our boys are late teens they pretty much did their own thing without us worrying too much as sa coma is such a lovely resort. There are loads of fabulous restaurants as you head to the beach which make you all feel really welcome. For those unable to walk far the hotel provides a little train during the day to the beach as it is about a 25-30 min stroll. We will definately be looking at returning in 2010 with the boys who loved it as much as we did. Almost forgot, the staff recognised that we had been earlier in the year and sent complimentary champagne and snacks to our rooms :)

We stayed at the Bouganvilla for 2 weeks at the start of the season, we stayed self catering and found that the hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. We had a two bedroom apartment which was very basic but cleaned every two days. The hotel was situated away from the beach (15 minute walk) but in a residential area and the Boogie train would literally take you to the beach frontage (I can imagine train being packed in high season). The 3 kids found the entertainment in the Big Top excellent and loved the entertainers (especially Kym), the only downside for us is that you can smoke in the Big Top. There are lots of activities to do throughout the day including volley ball, rounders, the daily quiz etc. There is also a tennis court, football court, pool table etc. The pool was freezing but huge and very clean. We have no complaints and would definately visit this hotel again.

COMPLEX
Complex was quite large but very clean and well tended. Bar, dining room, 2 pools (1 very large pool with lifeguards and one quieter smaller pool), snack bar, a few onsite shops (not too expensive either), kids club area (both indoor and outdoor), tennis court, volleyball and 2 football pitches (one tarmac and one sand). There is a large entertainment marquee (big top) where the main entertainment takes place. The complex is about a mile from the beach and town centre but a mini train runs every 30 minutes for those unable (or not willing) to walk. This service runs from about 9 in the morning until 6 at night, with an hour off for dinner. For walking, it's about a 15 - 20 minute walk. There are several supermarkets and bars close by

RECEPTION
Check in was quite good without too much of a wait. Staff spoke very good English and were always very helpful with any questions.

ROOMS
We had a studio apartment which consisted of 2 beds + a sofa bed, a couple of chairs and a table, a small kitchen, bathroom with full bath and shower overhead, and the usual wardrobe etc. Room was absolutely spotless with no real signs of wear and tear.

FOOD & DRINK
For a 3 star, the food was good quality with a decent selection of salad, main courses, vegetarian and pasta. There was certainly room for improvement with the table situation as there didn't seem to be enough staff on to clear the tables so sometimes you had to sit down at a table which had the dirty pots from the previous diners. Sometimes there was quite a queue for the dining room, but this soon went down.
The bar was very orderly with a queueing system which the waiters were very good at enforcing when people tried to jump the queue. Service was ok. They didn't rush but we never had to wait more than a few minutes. Everyone (apart from 1 person) was friendly and polite, and they were always good for a laugh. You are only allowed 2 drinks per person per trip to the bar so if there are 4 of you, 2 people need to go up.

POOL & GARDENS
There were plenty of sunbeds round the pool (but we did go in October when it wasn't all that full). Pool was very cold (again, probably due to the time of year) but was well laid out with Lifeguard attendance every day.

STAFF
Always friendly and polite and most spoke very good English.

ENTERTAINMENT
Entertainment was on throughout the day around the bar and pool area (quizzes, games etc) and the evening entertainment was in the big top. This started with the usual kids club, bingo, prize giving, daft games etc before the main entertainment which started at 10 pm. The main entertainment was good quality with the majority of it being "bought in", mainly tribute acts (Elvis, Drifters, Michael Jackson etc. etc.) but the staff put on a couple of shows as well, which were quite good.

SURROUNDING AREA
Sa Coma is fairly small but turn right when you get to the beach and S'Illot is only a few minutes walk away. For a larger place, Cala Millor is only a 30 minute walk away which has lots more shops etc. You can also hire bikes, catch an open top bus, or get on the mini train to get there. The beach is quite large and very clean with lots of umbrellas and sunbeds (charged for)

OVERALL
We had a great time at the Bouganvilla and would recommend it for a family or couples holiday at a reasonable price

The hotel complex had a really strong smell of sewerage to the extent of making you feel ill. There were flies everywhere, even in the dinning area and even landing on the food!!! The flies were that bad that the local shop ran out of fly spray! Some of the staff were rude and ignorant. Our room balcony backed on to what can only be described as a narrower version of the M6 motorway and was also as busy traffic wise. If you fancied a quiet break, do not have a room at the left of the complex because of the road noise throughout the day and also in the early hours of the morning. The food was average to say the least. The drinks (all inc) you could have drank all day and not even got tipsy. Entertainment team were good and would suit a family.

Arrived at the apartments at 05.30 in the morning after a ten hour delay courtesy of our tour operators went straight to bed and woke to find that our panoramic view consisted of looking straight into someones bedroom from our very small balcony and the view from our bedroom looked straight into someone elses bedroom, off to a good start then. The apartment itself was very basic but yes it was clean and no complaints there.Reminded me of living in a housing estate in Dundee even had the complimentary noisy neighbours to make you feel at home.Cant make much comment on the staff at the Boogie as we never hung about long enough to find out as we found the place depressing. The convenience stores on site were ok if you bought local products but british goods were very expensive.Im sorry but I cant see where the entertainment during the day came from we usually heard an announcement in the morning from the entertainment staff advertising something that was supposed to be going on later. They had water polo or something similiar around about 4 o clock for about half an hour but that was it the goal nets were taking away and well end of. Charges for safe and tv were very expensive (about 30 euros a week for tv) you could buy one in the supermarket for 90 euros.Evening entertainment was variable but nothing spectacular. Not for us Im afraid and we certainly wont be back

This is a huge complex and is ideal for families as well as couples. On site there are 2 supermarkets, a restaraunt, Bar, snack bars at least 2 pools and I'm sure plenty more if you go and explore the whole site.
There is a large entertainment arena to the rear of the site - which although is noisy during the late evening, does finish (strictly) at 12 midnight. There was always sunloungers available and the pool was very clean. The rooms, for self-catering, were well equipped for 2 people and they were well cleaned during our 11 day stay. You have to realise that this is a very busy complex and you will have to queue for some drinks, food and facilities.

We visited the Bouganvilla in aug 2008 and had a great holiday. The best part of this holiday at the complex was the entertainment which was organised by Thomas Cook and their reps.
When we arrived we recognised one of the Thomas Cook reps who has been a neighbour in my town of Liverpool for a few years. This neighbour informed us that Thomas Cook will no longer be organising the entertainment in this complex for the summer of 2009, this will now be the responsibility of the hotel. This was also confirmed last week in a local Thomas Cook travel agent. In no way am I saying the entertainment will not be as good, I just believe Thomas Cook and their reps were fantastic and it will take something special to replace them. Anyone who has been here before will understand my concern.
I just want people to be aware of this and hope they have a great holiday
thanks Alan
