We went to this hotel for our first holiday abroad so it was a change. The staff were very pleasent with us . The reps provided a good sort of entertainment. The hotel was very clean . All the family was pleased with our holiday ,so much in fact we went there in 03 and enjoyed it still. We are now going back again for our 3rd Holiday at Palmeras Playa Sa Coma.

Arrived and very hot, hotel much bigger than expected. Hotel room very spacious with air conditioning and very clean. All staff very polite and helpful. Reps were great, especially with the children. Hotel pool very nice although shaded one side but not a problem soon cleared by afternoon. Cafe had plenty to eat and drink. The beach was just 5 minutes out of the back gate and beautiful. Plenty of shops and trips. We visited waterslide park and had a great day. Enterainment every evening and kids club much enjoyed. We Would recommend as a family holiday.

We had a last minute deal husband and wife 2 kids 10 and 7.
The hotel was great friendly staff clean all the Thomsons
gang all did a fantastic job. Nice beach near bar plenty of bars and restaurants.

If you go in to Cala Millor check out Stumps opposite Cheers a nice family bar with nice meals and reasonable prices. There is a rush for the sunbeds but they are chained up until 8.45. And yes the sunbathing area does get shaded but the plus of that is that the pool is as well at times which is good when the kids are in.

We were a family with three children aged 13, 11 and 18 months.
The hotel was nice and clean but the pool had too much shade and the water was a little too cold.
Food was very good with plenty of choice, especially for the kids.
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
Entertainment was average and daytime activities poor.
The beach was superb with plenty of places to eat and drink but watch out for the melon sellers!!
The resort itself is superb with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and plenty for the kids to do.
Only downer is that the resort is a long way from all the main island attractions, which were in and around Palma.
We would all definetly go back again.
the waiters were lovely(I recommend it to teenagers)- Gemma 13

we visited the palmeras playa in may 2001 and it was so good we returned in september 2003! all the bar staff recognised us as we were always the last ones in the bar having a drink with all the bar staff! the entertainment was very good but sometimes did drag on a bit. in the day time the reps always had someting they wanted everyone to do whether it was table tennis or pistol shooting they always got everybody up doin it! we would definately go back to mallorca but maybe not this hotel as we have now been here twice!

Echo the comments below, plus ...
The Childrens' Reps were brilliant. Nothing seemed an effort to them, they obviously enjoyed what they did and the children loved them for it.
The grown up Reps were just fine too. The entertainment was varied but almost always interesting. The majority of the entertainment was performed by the Reps themselves and although not brilliant in quality, was actually all the better for the fact that they were having a brilliant time fooling about doing it. The stage was well placed in the open air within the complex.
The food, when we chose to eat at the complex rather than at any of the many good restaurants nearby, was good. Not brilliant, but certainly good. And the advantage was that the kids could keep going back to the buffet until they found something they *would* eat. That saved the mental anguish of re-reading menus to them a dozen times and then them deciding that the ubiquitously ordered chicken nuggets were not covered in the right sort of batter.
The complex was very clean and the staff were really nice. All of them. It was as if they were all naturals at customer service.
The beach (and it *is* 100 yards away) is fantastic! Wide and long, nice sand, seldom much seaweed and a nice shelf into a clear sea.
Local restaurants - really good selection along the front towards the resort of S'Illot (which is about 300 yards away) and also along the parallel back street. Meal for 4 cost 40 - 50 Euros including plenty of drinks.
Bouncy things for kids at night - as well as a little fair ground just over the bridge in S'Illot, there's another if you come onto the road outside the main entrance to the hotel and take a left. Its about 200 yards away on the left. But, watch out for the security of your kids, especially on the little train track they have there which is fenced by all of a foot high rope! I would go to the fair in S'Illot if I were you.
Thomson Trips - I don't know how much Pirates was, and the sell they gave you once inside was unbelievable (swords 7 Euros, bandanas 5 Euros, Photos 8 Euros, etc), or if the food was quite adequate, but the gymnastics on show was amazing - and I hate gymnastics! It was, therefore, worth going!
Mega Fun Day Water Park Thingy - Okay if your children can swim properly, bit limited if they cannot.
The Dolphins and boat trip - the 30 minute dolphin show was good - the rest of the day was a drag.
Overall .... Sa Coma is really nice, especially the beach. The hotel and Thomson people were A1. The complex was good if the appartments a little small, but who cares!

We have just got back, and had a wonderful time, can't complain about anything, the hotel was very clean and the pool was lovely, just remember to get those beds early. The shops are just outside the back of the hotel, which sold everything. We took a nine month old baby, which was hard work, but everything we needed was there. We are now trying to book for next year can't wait to go back, and the beech was the best. I would recommend a restaurant called Largo I think, it is near the bar called Monkeys. Excellent, but expensive.

We were recomended this holiday by a tour operator 2yrs ago

and out of all the holidays ive been on this has to be the BEST!!,We went self catering and occasionally eat in the resturant and the choice of food was great for adults and kids alike,The staff and reps were very helpful and polite. The rooms were spotless,And the location was ideal very close to the beach/shops/resturants/bars.Don"t forget to check out the wooden train that stops right outside the palmeras playa to take you into town or to the safari park.

Ive worked hard, saved my money and we are going back this year in september,CAN"T WAIT !!!

We arrived from a 12 hour flight delay from Glasgow to Palma. We were greeted by a rep called Marcus Jones from the plane. He apologised and from then on I was pleased the company had made the effort.

We arrived at the Palmeras Playa at 4am (12 later hours than expected) in the morning and who was there to greet us, yep the night porter and Marcus. He showed us all to the rooms we booked and explained the bad start, very good ending!

Next morning we went down for the meeting (20mins late) to have a go at our rep, when I saw who it was I thought WOW he needs a break, yep it was Marcus. He was with his collegues Craig, Lee, Aimee and Katie. Marcus was the soul of them all.

All of us enjoyed our holiday as Marcus told us we would. I have never forgot him and would love to thank him dearly.

Marcus you made our holiday, this has taken 4 years to find a site to explain all this.
