Hi

We arrived back on Sunday 9th July after a fortnights stay with my husband and daughters aged 14 and 17. I can only say that I was extremely impressed with the standard and cleanliness of this establishment. It fully deserves it's 4 star reputation as I am sure it is no mean feat keeping an establishment in tip top condition. As well as maids I was also aware of a painter going around touching up any marks on walls. On requesting extra towels after a little misunderstanding due to my own inadequecies with the Spanish language they were delivered to our room no problem.

I was pleased that air conditioning was self controlling which allowed you to keep your room as cool as you liked even when the air conditioning was switched off in the public areas around midnight.

Even the number of computer terminals available for public use far surpassed those I have found available in other establishments.

Although the majority of the other guests were German and the fact that we did not attend the entertainment very often we could hear much of it from our balcony and we were aware that the entertainment team addressed the audiences in many languages including English.

Unfortunately some people visit a foreign country and expect everything to be 'English' or 'British' but I think we do not try hard enough to have a broader view on others culture. The German people in this accommodation where never anything other than courteous and considerate even when they were celebrating football wins.

This hotel fully deserves the ISO quality award it has been given

We visited Sa Coma in May for the 2nd time.

We chose to stay at the Safari Apartments as we thought they looked good for our 2.5 year old and almost 1 year old.

The apartments and accomodation are lovely but the fact that you cannot get a sunbed at any time of the day was not so good. The beds were packed so close together it was impossible to get past. We used the pool next door which was within the same group. You could guarantee a sunbed here and there was hardly anyone at this pool.

It is quite a walk to the beach from here but is ideal for the Caprabo Supermarket which sells everything including nappies cheaper than the Spars. We love Sa Coma and are going back this Summer, this time to the Coma Gran.
Sa Coma is excellent for families and is very quiet.

It has a lovely promenade which you can walk along happily with children without having to worry about the road. The beach is great and the sea is quite shallow which is good for toddlers. We have not come across any time share operators. The only seller we found was the usual 'fruit sellers' on the beach but these didn't cause any problem.

As I say we are going back to Sa Coma and would recommend the resort but chose your accommodation carefully, the resort is quite busy with other Europeans, mainly German which is fine but if you have small children it is sometimes quite hard for them to join in the entertainment.

Happy holidays!

Just had our first taste of safari park and really enjoyed ourselves.

The hotel was the first that we had been on that had hot water for washing and showering constantly all day.

The hotel location was excellent for the beach, shops and for going out at night.

We didn't use the restaurant or entertainment as we went our own way at night but it appeared to cater for the German and Dutch way of life?

The hotel staff spoke a little English but were fluent in German, not that it bothered us.

We were on the fourth floor next to one of the cleaners store cupboard and the noise from this was unbearable at times but if thats the only fault it has then its doing well.

Spent days at the poolside and days at the beach and would recommend the safari park to friends.great hotel to stay for couples and families.

This was our first family holiday to Majorca, we booked through Portland direct and quite frankly we thought it was an absolute bargain.

The hotel from what we could tell was probably to best one in the area, rooms are spacious and air conditioned, hot water always available and maid service 5 times a week. It was great to be able to go out and return to find beds made and the apartment tidied. The apartment is equipped with toaster, microwave and hairdrier and also a safety deposit box.

We found all the staff helpful and friendly and the animation team were great with the all the resorts kids no matter what time of day it was. Only down side was that my youngest daughter went to the hotels kids club and was the only English speaker there so she didn't enjoy it.

A lot of Germans holiday here.

Well the Safari Park was excellent and certainly looks the business!!!

The reception area is huge and the hotel is based on 5 floors and may take a few days to get your bearings as it is so big.We got there at 3am after a transfer of around 80 minutes wasn't too bad.

The credit card you are given for entering your room and using the power is a clever idea as it saves lugging a large key around, the card can also be used to put things on a 'tab' at the hotel but we never used it for this.

The room was booked for 2-4 people and we maybe niavely thought the room would be bigger having seen pictures of the rooms being on 2 levels but these were probably the 4-6 people studios. So what you have is 2 singles in the bedroom and 2 sofa's which you can use to sleep on,we let the kids have the beds and we pushed the sofa's together to make a double for us as the kids would be in bed before us anyway it made more sense to put them in the room.

The apartment is airconditioned,I thought ours was broke but it only works when the window/patio door are shut depending what room(clever eh!!) and the view is fantastic if you book a room with a pool view, try not to get a room on the basement or first floor as you may find it quite intrusive and may not get much sun on the balcony.

We tried both as we had a room on the 4th floor which was great but because we were not leaving the complex until 10pm we spoke to Colin(Thomson main rep and nice fella)about a late leavers room and we were sorted with a basement room for our last 10 hours for 22 euros.
Still on the room,it has all things you need and look quite new such as the microwave, fridge, kettle etc,and the t.v has sky news which changes to BBC1 & ITV,and cartoon network. You don't need the remote to work it but if your lazy you can get one from reception for 10 euros.

The hotel also has an internet area inside but a better value 'cybercafe' is next door to the Brittannia English bar a couple of streets away.

The whole hotel complex is huge and the 3 crazy golf courses are fun,2 or 3 kids pools and 3-4 adult pools to choose from were great,As was the childrens water/playpark at the rear of the complex. The indoor pool is only filled up in winter, and the gym was always empty but the 2 restaurants were always full and night time entertainment was lively and not on too late or too loud to cause a problem if you have the kids in bed.

Safari apartments was great, with maids cleaning 5 days a week.

The animation teams was both hard working and friendly. performing exellent show at a night time and fantastic entertainment round the pool in the day.

The hotel provided many trips and attractions including bananna boats and unfortunately horse riding which we actually took part in and a member of our party was thrown off his horse and consequently broke his arm. This trip is not recomended.

Children was well catered for with 3 swimming pools,(3 paddling pools)table tennis and pool tables, a giant chess board, 54 hole of mini golf, a football pitch, park, tv room and at last but not at all least at the back of the complex is a park for children between the ages of 3-12 which includes trampolines, go carts, water slide and a climbing frame. Everything on this park is free exept the go cart which only cost a euro.

I can not comment on food though because of being self catering but many good restrants are in Sa Coma.

I would most definetly recommend this to anyone who is looking into going to Majorca and I hope to go back to Safari apartments in the future.

Travelled for our first holiday with a seven month old baby and would go back again tomorrow. Very clean hotel, nice apartments and a huge pool, complete with two small pools for toddlers. Good location five minutes from the beach and the supermarket across the road stocks most of what you need, Execellent staff, great facilities - you can even book in a high chair and Mothercare cot for your apartment. All in all a great place for young families.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Safari Apartments, the hotel, pool areas and apartments were kept very clean.

Although we were self catering we checked the menu in the hotel dining room every day with a view to eating there on the nights we liked the sound of the food. We only managed to eat there one night when it was a Chinese Buffet. The food was very much geared to German/Dutch taste and there was not often something plain enough to satisfy our children. The restaurant was well run and the food was plentiful and if it suits your taste then it is well worth the money. However there are a good range of well priced restaurants nearby serving everything from pie and chips to pizza and paella.

Entertainment in the hotel was good when they had a professional act in but the hotel entertainment team seemed to provide a very strange variety of mimed shows e.g. Grease and Mamma Mia.

But having said all that this is the best hotel we have stayed in Majorca and we would definitely visit this hotel again, in fact I have booked already for next year!
