We stayed in Jutlandia Apartments for the 2nd time. Previously Aug 2002.

The reception and pool area are kept clean every day and hygiene is very good. The food on offer is basic but acceptable.

Reception, bar and catering staff are friendly and accommodating. Life guard did his job and was friendly.

The only complaints we had (which is why we won't be going back there) is the maid service was very poor compared to our last visit. We were very luckly with the maid last time who was very thorough.

The other guests were very noisy particularly at night when we were trying to sleep. A lot of banging and over drinking. I like a drink but not at the expense of others. There was not much control on teenage drinking either. The night time singing from guests often went onto 6.00am.

We also found the beds very uncomfortable to sleep on. I preferred the couch.

We felt standards had dropped since our last visit.

When we first arrived, the hotel didnt look attractive from the outside and the area seemed very isolated. But looks can be decieving.

The reception area was lovely and the receptionists were very helpful if you wanted information on anything. There is a restaurant and bar, both with good service, although the prices were extremely high.

The pool area was fantastic, with lots of space and sunbeds were endless. There was a lifeguard on duty all day, who made sure there was no trouble and was always walking around keeping an eye on everything.

The entertainment was amazing for the kids, with shows nearly every night and games during the day.

When we entered our apartment, we were surprised at the size as it was rather small for a 2 bedroomed apartment. It was reasonably clean although the bathroom wasnt particularly nice to use. The kitchen area was rather small and cramped with not much room 2 work in. Bedrooms also small but big enough to cope with.

However, the rest of the hotel made up for the apartments.

I went for two weeks which was too long I would advise ten days! but I loved it!

The resort was full of Irish which was brilliant! I'm 15 and made loads of friends who I miss loads!

The entertainment isn't too good for my age group!

I wouldn't go back only because I want to travel more of the world although a girl I met there has been there six times!

Hotel was lethal craic! The life guard at it was a legend but there was a waiter who you'd have to keep 2 eyes on! a particular ladies man!

There are steps up onto your apartment which makes a fair wee challange when you arrive at 3 in the morning and have to carry the suitcases up!

Entertainment was rubbish, the only good thing was Rod Stewart! The muscle man was about 80 years of age!

Stayed at the Jutlandia for the first time and it will be the only time. Everyone seems to have had pleasant stays except us.

We have travelled with first choice to Mallorca several times and this is the only time we have had to complain. My advice is do not stay in room 229. Fridge was being defrosted when we arrived, no hangers or space for clothes. 3ft cracks in floor tiles so bad you must where something on your feet. Toilet seat, cistern broken with pubichair, rooms not suitable for family, can't swing a spanish cat!

Can't comment on the entertainment we didn't hang around.

We went for two weeks which was to long, ten days would have been ideal.

The apartments were cleaned thoroughly every day and cleaning staff very friendly. Located up a slight hill it is in a perfect location for young families, loads to do of a day yet away from all the hussle and bussle of a night. . . althought on a couple of nights there was loud teenagers shouting until the early hours!

Santa ponsa itself is a lovely resort, loads of things for both young and old to see and do.

Reps were none existent at the apartments and bar there was very highly priced, played on you staying there for the kids entertainer who we thought was rubbish ( our kids are 3 and 6 ).

Life guard around the pool was a star ! ..You'll see what I mean when you get there!
all in all a great time !

We will be going again this year!

The Jutlandia Apartments are fantastically clean, friendly and nicely landscaped, with 3 pools (2 pools for the kids/adults and 1 baby pool for the little ones). There are plenty of sunbeds round the pool and you can hire a sun shade should you require one. The pool is attended by a life guard from 10am - 7pm. You can use any inflatables you wish, however there are usually a lot left behind round the pool by previous holiday makers so you can usually make use of these rather than buy your own.

The apartments are basic but kept very clean. There is a maid service 5 times a week and you are provided with clean towels and bed linen 3 times a week. The staff are very friendly and the receptionists all speak english (one, in fact actually comes from England).

In your room you have 2 rings for cooking, a fridge, sink, kettle and toaster. You can hire an oven, a hairdryer, a cot or a TV & video (plus many more items) from reception for a set weekly price. The bedrooms contain twin beds, a wardrobe, dressing table and digital safe which you can hire via reception.

The apartments are set out in a 'C' shape round the pools, so that every apartment has a pool view. There are 3 levels so you dont have to climb too many steps, although if you have trouble walking i would recommend asking your travel company when you book that you would like a ground floor apartment. We requested this, and it was all arranged for us hassle-free.

Each apartment has air-conditioning which is provided free of charge and is definitely worth using. It only works if you close your doors and windows, but once it is switched on, it really is effective. You also get a balcony or terrace (depending on whether you are on the ground floor or floors 1 or 2) and the ground floor terraces each have a bush in front to give the occupants some privacy.

The apartments also have a bar and restaurant and the food is very nice, although the choice is fairly limited. The complex is within walking distance to bars and restaurants in Santa ponsa, it is less than 5 minutes walking distance from the town & beach front.

There is a local supermarket opposite the apartments, a little way up the hill, however this is fairly expensive and i only recommend using this if you cannot get to the other supermarkets, one of which is the local 'Syp' supermarket, or there are several others by the beachfront.

For the kids, entertainment is provided every day apart from Saturday by Anna, the complex's own entertainer. She arranges daily water polo, football (the complex actually has a concrete football pitch) and mini disco events for the little ones. There is also rifle-shooting and football events for the elder kids/adults however these arent daily events.

The complex also has 2 pool tables, an arcade room and access to the internet. It also has BBQ facilities and the complex holds a BBQ evening every thursday, if you wish to attend you need to book via reception in advance.

There is entertainment provided every evening except Saturdays, at the bar/restaurant area. The shows are good although they all seem to be in English, which is great if you can speak english but not so great for others.

The waitressing staff are very friendly and though not all of them speak a lot of english, you can usually get by and the food menu is in english, spanish and german so you can point to what you would like and they will understand.

The bar also has a mini-shop where you can purchase large bottles of water (you cant drink the tapwater in majorca) and milk and other essentials.

This hotel was really great. One of the best i've been in. The rooms are quite small with not much room for clothes but you can manage.

Although its on the top of a hill its near everything, places for family and people who want to go to clubs. Its also right near a supermarket. Its only a 5 min walk to the beach.

The food is quite good but we never had dinner here. The hotel staff are great escpecially Angie who our family got on really well with! and Anna the entertainer is great!

I would definaltey go to this hotel again.

Pros: Nice clean and friendly apartment complex with great entertainment for kids my daughter loved the mini disco( every evening at 8.30pm apart from saturday).Decent bar food although very basic, staff very helpful and friendly. Nice pool area very good for kids. Air conditioned apartment a godsend. special mention for Anna the child entertainer works really hard and is very good at her job.

Cons: Apartment was too small hardly any room for clothes and beds very uncomfortable. No food preparation area in kitchen therefore had to prepare food using the kitchen table only two ringed cooker.
complex can be noisy at night and into early hours.Allowed to drink from glasses around the pool area which should be stopped due to the amount of small children running around this could cause a serious accident.

We've just returned from the Jutlandia in Santa Ponsa. I was excellent. One of the best we have stayed in. The kids loved it also. The apt was spotless, the staff were really friendly and the entertainer, Ana was loved by all the children, she did an excellent job. Several times we ate at the snack bar the food here was excellent and at a good price. Five minute walk from the hotel is the main strip with some of the best restaurants we've ever tried. Children are already asking when can we go back.
