We booked this holiday in February and had been very excited about it. The reviews we read recently made us very anxious before we went. However we had a wonderful time and none of the negative issues were evident. The hotel and the rooms were very very clean, bedding changed frequently and towels changed daily. There were also enough towels for the whole family. the restaurant and bar staff were incredibly polite and very attentive. They appeared to work long hours but always had a smile and were very efficient. The entertainment provided by the hotel was sometimes good, the Fake That show was superb and gave us our best night there! The children enjoyed the Booms dancing, which was only for half an hour, this probably could have been longer. Our children went to only two or three sessions in the children's club and they loved it. It was very profesionally run and security was good.Tthe only negative I have about the whole holiday is that people were reserving sunbeds from 6.00am and then sometimes not coming to them until 4pm. The food was very varied and of good quality. We never ever queued. We were all inclusive and drinks were readily available although we didn't enjoy drinking from the plastic cups! I cannot say enough good things about the resort and we would love to go back! I did mention the bad reviews to our rep who said that earlier in the season there had been issues but they had been resolved. So well done, Biminimar for taking heed of critism and giving us a wondeful time!

We've just got back from staying at the Binimar and can honestly say we had a great time. We were all inclusive and the food were perfectly okay, was a fair amount of choice and nothing to adventurous. The entertainment acts the hotel got in to perform were very very good. The bar staff are friendly, and so are the entertainment team. The rooms were fairly clean if a little dated, but nothing to complain about. The maid only came twice during the week, but this varied between our two rooms as she visited their 4 times. However I have lost a dress whilst there, which was in the room before it was cleaned. Other than that no problems. And our thomas cook reps were great, very informative and if i can reccomend the Stallions of Somni, and if you have a chance to visit Pedro's Ranch for a great comedy act. If you're into beaches then you have to travel a little around the island to find a nice beach, but the sea is clear and has many many fish of all sizes!

Hi
We stayed on an all inclusive basis at a budget price, the food was pretty good and varied in both the large and small restaurant. You need to book the smaller restaurant by giving your room number to reception, we booked this restaurant every day after the first day, and also booked a picnic breakfast on a couple of days, which you also book through reception. The complex cannot cope with the large number of people on all inclusive, practically everyone was all in, hence we discovered queues for dinner, which could be quite long, which we did not appreciate, and on many occasions ended up eating outside complex!! Also and worst of all there is really only ONE bar for drinks which is situated at the bar main stage area, again queues for drinks!! Also because the complex could not cope plastic glasses were everywhere, no staff during busy times to clear up, and people just leaving them on tables, and sometimes just walking over them, ashtrays also in short supply, also in the evening actual glasses for drinks were only available to a few!! Hence this area was very dirty with stubbed out cigarettes and glasses.

I appreciate this was a good value all inclusive but if it is offered then the complex should be able to give what is offered in the brouchure, and this simply is not the case. The main restaurant has a 250 person capacity and I believe 400 apartments were occupied.

The cleanliness of the room was pretty good, and we were grateful that our apartment looked out over the third pool and out to sea, which was lovely.

The location of the complex is central to the main town, wasn't my cup of tea, and would not go back, but if you have children its pretty child friendly in the complex and the surrounding area. I found the area in need of a bit of a face lift.

Never got to know any of the staff as bar staff are simply too busy, reception staff seem pretty frindly.

Entertainment seemed pretty good but we went out to the town while childrens entertainment and bingo was on, came back later in the eventing when there were not so many queues at the bar.

Just back - would never go back - Butlins in the sun and the usual types that frequent this type of resort ie up at 7am in their pyjamas to get all the sunbeds. We were not advised that there was all inclusive people there and boy did they let you know!
Entertainment was provided every night either by reps or groups such as Fake That/West Live (same guys on different nights)!!! Good performances by Chinese Acrobats although they were not appreciated by the mass of knuckle draggers present!
The complex was too big over 400 rooms, felt that the hotel could have done more to encourage people to use the nice restaurant facility Tasca.
Only problem was the smell of cats pee in our room, which was condensation dampness caused by the recent fitting of double glazing, but which was totally ineffective due to lack of ventillation (we had to open the windows and doors to let the room breathe). Any builder would tell you that a couple of air bricks would have solved the problem. Staff in the Hotel were very good about this and offered to move us, but to be honest it wasn't worth the hassle. However, the hotel needs to do something about the issue of the sunbeds thought as we had a poolside room and not once did we get a bed nearby, we had to go to the bigger pool most days.
Will be contacting the travel company who completely missold us this holiday.

we stayed in the binimaher hotel apts. the bar staff were excellent and were very child friendly. the pool area was excellent for everyone with non slip tiles. the food in the resturent la tasca was very good value and pitza's to die for. a meal for 2 adults and 2 children with a bottle of wine was about 32euro very good value with excellent service.

the location of the complex was good with all aminities just around the corner. the entertainment the complex had on site was very good. you cant knock the entertainment team as they work very hard. the only problem i would have is with the reception they were very slow checking people in on arrival. when we asked to upgrade to half board they didnt give the correct information. when we asked to keep our room for an extra few hours before our flight it was a problem. everything with reception was a problem.

the complex it self is well layed out and spacious. the hygiene of the whole area is excellent. the maid came every day to the room. overall we had an excellent hoilday. we sent one of our children to the kids club nearly everything she went to wa 5euro 10euro and even 20euro for a pitza party which consisted of one slice of pitza and 10chips. so bring lots of money. hope you enjoy your hoilday we did.

This was an ok holiday, very very average. The supermarket staff are not very pleasant in fact the only pleasant staff were the reception and some on the bar staff . Now let me give you a word of warning , there is an Adidas shop round the corner , buy from here at your peril. If you buy anything as I did and there is a fault with it you WILL NOT get a replacement or a refund they just dont want to know so please be warned . The food was nice , the ents team were ok , I really cant praise this place in anything in particular , maybe its because I have been used to far better hotels , its an average accomodation with average facilities.

Me and my family have just got back from the binimar on 13 October. We stayed in the apartments buy the third pool opposite the tennis courts its was the best pool to be buy as it was quiet there and its not as deep as the other pools im only 5ft and i managed to keep my head out of the water.

I thought the hotel rooms were very tidy and cleaned everyday apart from the days the staff wernt working my only problems with the room was i was on the seatee bed with only a sheet for warmth but most nights it was hot so it wasnt that much of a bother.

I thought the restaurant was very clean all the staff were pleasent and helpful the breakfast was ok good choice of cereals and hot food, night time was good had a range of different foods which i hadnt tried before so it was nice to try some different foods, La Tasca was good for afternoon meals there pizza's are fantastic and hand made when you order they also have other fine foods available.

All staff were fantastic made you feel welcome that is including maids and restaurant staff.

Entertainment was good i only watched three night of entertainment my fav night was when the ultimate boyband tribute were on the lads were fantastic very entertaining had all the girls up. the hotel entertainment was average the last night on the Friday was brilliant with the sketches they did.

A good value for money package holiday centre. Not perfect but its not as if we pay tip top prices for places like the Binimar.
Good points;
Towels changed almost daily.
rooms swept out by maids almost every day.
Hnady super market on site, slightly more expensive than those in town but very convenient.
3 pools with lifeguards most of the time.
self catering equipment in apartments was satisfactory.
Plenty of holiday reps on site if they were needed.
receptionists reasonably helpful.
No cockroaches or bedbugs that we know of or heard of.
Entertainment, bars and takeawy food that was priced reasonably and to a decent standard.
Bad points;
Rooms close to the stage area would be noisy in late evenings.
Some parents allowing kids to run riot around pools.
British tourists reserving sunbeds at the crack of dawn with towels then not using them until after lunch.
To be fair, a lot of package deal tourists now like to moan about anything and everything. We paid a fair price for accomodation of this standard and enjoyed it because we did not exoect it to be like staying in a first class hotel. The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful considering what they have to put up with. The entertainment was aimed at families who like to sit and watch stage shows and was enjoyed by the majority so could not have been that bad. The place is located 200mtrs from town centre with a walk along a well lit and safe route.
we are a couple of working class families who have trravelled a bit and stayed in far better places and hotels but paid a lot more for the privelege. Most people who enjoy package holidays will have a good time at this complex, wont find everything exactly as they like but I cant imagine any of their complaints would ruin their holiday. we spent 14 pleasant nights here in sept 2007 and had a good relaxing time.

Just back from a week staying at the Binimar apartments. Found accommodation basic but clean and tidy (although felt it could do with a revamp). Even in September air conditioning would have made a big difference as the rooms were hot and stuffy at nights. Our toddler was too small for the children's entertainment but he loved the paddling pool and the playpark which was nice and handy. Supermarket well stocked and not that more expensive than anywhere else in the resort. Binimar only short walk from the resort which was great as we ate out every night (didn't try the Binimar restaurant). Wasn't too impressed by the noise coming from the main stage area at night but luckily we were nearer the supermarket than the middle pool (where the stage is) so it didn't affect us too much. Some nights the noise from the Sea Club apartments was worse!
We got what we expected (given what we paid for the holiday) but we were happy to go home after a week. Pity anyone who has to suffer the noise every night in an apartment overlooking that main stage....
